Firstly, we would like to place on record our thanks to John Sheridan for the job he did in the 2015/16 season, and indeed throughout his time with Oldham Athletic. His track record as a player and manager with the club will mean he will always retain a special place in our history and that should never be forgotten. The club and fans have a special bond with John, and we all hoped next season would be the start of a successful period together. We, along with the rest of our fan base, are therefore extremely disappointed John has chosen to leave our football club. The constant links to other jobs since before the season ended have been destabilising and unsettling for us all. It is small comfort to the fans that this is now at an end.
