Strike partnership/Team for Crawley

Haha true BP, I really do feel this guy is a better attacking player than defender, he'd be cracking as a LWB or LW.

LJ could adopt the Liverpool tactic of 3 centre backs and 2 wing backs now it's back in fashion.

I thought that as I posted, I'd put Mills on left wing then, it's where I see his long term future...

Finally the prayer has been answered and the gaffers seen sense, been saying it for ages, and i've heard alot of posters say Mills was MOTM or at least a close second, Good to see our LB play LB today and actually have two CB's at CB. The result, a point against top of the league. Keep the same team at PNE now please.

Whilst i do agree that Philliskirk & MacDonald both had decent games, those 2 playing together does limit us size wise.

Early in the game, we had a goal kick and i noticed that our 4 furthest players - Mills, Philliskirk, MacDonald & Dayton were all up against defenders who towered over them. Not one of those 4 is even close to 6ft. When you add in Wes & Korey too; we really are a small side.

Purely from a size viewpoint alone, Rooney or JCH come into their own.

That said, Saturday was the 1st time i've seen Danny Philliskirk play live, and whilst he's no world beater - i was impressed with his workrate and the way he linked a lot of our play. IMO, the game changed when Batt came on for them, And Philliskirk left for us.

If you either sweep up the 2nd balls, or stop the likes of Tarkowski lumping it forward then the size isnt a problem. Big dopey CBs in League 1 will mop up headers all day, but stick it on the ground to wriggly little players like Dayton and Philiskirk and they will struggle. Really thought we threw the game away by replacing Philiskirk with Rooney, we lost our link man.
