First time I've missed Hartlepool in years due to shortage of funds and no trains back to Edinburgh - bloody typical

I understand all parties, OAFC, parent club and his agent, are royally pissed off with his actions.
That's a quicker way of putting it.
-
Where's the shame? Somene was offered a job that didn't appeal so they didn't take it.
PD mentions the work that has gone into the deal. Not got a problem with someone happy to pick up their money rather than go elsewhere for regular football (if I could get paid for doing nowt I would) but if you're not interested don't waste people's time.
Exactly.
On Twitter someone's contrived to somehow throw Fabrice Muamba's predicament into the mix
Yeah I saw that. Understand the sentiment behind it lamenting the attitude of some footballers I mention above but Muamba's not relevant to that argument.

According to a couple of journos on Twitter Dickov has tried to bring in a player on loan with a view to signing them up for next season. Loads of work gone into it and club were willing to loan him for nowt, only for the player to call this morning and say they didn't fancy it. Come on Dickov - name and shame.
-
Still early days but if they have managed to save him after that long out then that's some achievement by the medical staff. Good news so far, just hope he improves and doesn't suffer any long term damage
-
Apologies, had half an eye on the TV when typing. Obviously I meant Fabrice
-
Spurs - Bolton abandoned after he collapses on the pitch. Not sounding good but fingers crossed for him.
-
Very successful final day all round then?

I take back my criticism of Ruby - did exactly the right thing by the horse there by pulling him up as soon as he felt he wasn't right.
-
I wouldn't be backing Kauto Star to win the Gold cup today- he was ill for 3 weeks 5 weeks ago.
Won't be touching him myself either, just hope it's a good race.
-
Ruby riding like he's never seen a horse before - obviously means Kauto's gonna walk the Gold Cup now
-
I'm struggling today, I've changed my pick in every race at least once but here's what I've settled on:
13:30 - Pearl Swan
14:05 - Citizenship (Ingleby Spirit E/W)
14:40 - Boston Bob (Sivola De Sivola E/W)
15:20 - Long Run
16:00 - Cloudy Lane
16:40 - Imsingingtheblues
17:15 - Kid Cassidy (De Boitron E/W)

Mike Keegan on Twitter reckons it's a "familiar surname" - Bunn it is then.
-
What a run by Salut Flo - in front from the start, hit a couple of fences but still won comfortably and looked like he could have gone round again.
-
Oh dear apologies are due I think, had a few last night and got completely the wrong end of the stick. Sorry if I upset anyone, boy do I feel a dick.
Haha..takes some balls mate, fair play to you.
-
Jesus mate, I'm not sure I've ever seen luck like that. Big Bucks should be a banker for you, I've decided to stay off it (not worth the punt) so just a couple of quid on Oscar Whisky
-
I'm a bit conflicted now - good start to the day but the blog I suggested yesterday is in similar form and somehow pulled out the forecast in that race with Champion Court 2nd. My dilema is I'm against them on every other race. Sir Des Champs has covered my stakes for the day so I think I'll leave it for now and take any other results as a bonus.
Bad start for you but I'd be amazed if you don't come out with a profit from those picks.
-
Not a bad shout Pukka, especially E/W. Nice and competitive today but here's what I've settled on:
13:30 - Sir Des Champs
14:05 - Sonofvic
14:40 - Somersby
15:20 - Big Bucks
16:00 - Salut Flo
16:40 - Sunnyhillboy
I'll also be sticking a couple of quid on Oscar Whisky against Big Bucks with money back if he comes in 2nd
-
Thursday then, has to be the banker of the meeting with Big Bucks.
Should be. Paddy Power are doing money back if your pick comes second to Big Bucks so I might take a chance on Oscar Whisky given Henderson/Geraghty's form so far.
-
Crap end to the day, Village Vic ran an awful race by the sounds of it. Decent couple of days all in though and some great races to watch.
-
And bang on queue - your luck goes!
I backed both Consigliere and poole master.
I've also had vendor and village vic too!
Balls, I'm away to cover myself with something else then
To be fair Son of Flicka was backed in from 66/1 this morning so somebody knew he had a chance.
68 tics there tonight.
