Maybe that deal wasn't a good one in the clubs favour?

We can't need extra office space for staff I wouldn't have thought

“Office space” is generous, Eden had a tiny partitioned off section at the front of the club shop with a desk and Ric’s laptop in and no heating. He did a hell of a lot of unpaid work for the club on top of his own business for that

I'm not saying it is. Wouldn't want to sign him.

Point was would you rather watch us in the prem with no morals or be a happy little family club in the 9th tier.

Whilst the 9th tier doesn’t exactly turn me on, Bolton fans creamed themselves over the non moral times and look at them now

What about the residents of the apartments in the corner at Leyton Orient who stand in their balcony and watch the game?

I assume they live there, arent paying wont need stewards or policing or a safety certificate which is currently in the clubs name only

plus its a requirement to know attendance numbers for which the club use a turnstile counter - for a non OAFC entity to allow peope through the Nirth stand doors would need the clubs agreement.

now if they want to build a scaffold in the car park that’s another matter

If AL decides to close the JR stand (not his to close) for the coming season. What's to stop the FLG opening it themselves free of charge, or say 5 quid a game,  AL can't erect a screen to stop people watching the game, as he would need permission from the land owners to do that. If it's policed properly with stewards, there shouldn't be a problem. Or am I being simplistic in my thinking, and there is some way AL can stop people watching his team?

It’s the same reason the gym has to put the shutters down during matches. The match is a product which isn’t the North Stand’s to sell

Sorry I’ve got about a million more important things to worry about than a £40 shirt. I’ll buy it myself if it helps.

Meanwhile I’ll just support the club and not moan about things that are clearly not worth even talking about let alone moaning about them.

Just be happy that we’ve secured Hamer for another 2 years, after which we might be able to cash in on his potential like we have done with Edmundson.

    COYB ⚽👍

Hopefully if that happens we can make the £40 back

There has been a lot of crap happening at this club for years and a lot of bad decisions and lots of things leaked into the media and by all accounts some poor staff.Al as had a big clearout of course most of those sacked are going to say bad things against him but isn't this sour grapes.I don't see many fans saying too many nice things about Brassbank or Mike Keegan either.OK Al has made mistakes but he definitely wants success for this club.So I for one will give him a chance. Some fans decided they didn't like him from the start and will never give him a chance no matter what he does. This so far anonymous FLG are yet to convince me of anything as so far as  their true value and ownership as not yet come to the fore.

The whole world wasn’t against OAFC before he took over

I was extremely optimistic when he took over as I was far from Corney’s biggest fan at the end.

The evidence so far doesn’t look promising but trust me should he prove me wrong I would be amongst the first to shake his hand and say I was a negative non believing prick

Wow!! Some people really will moan about ANYTHING!!!

We’ve recently cashed in on one of our young players to the tune of around £700k, and now we’ve secured another one for another 2 years, by which time he may well improve similarly to Edmundson and we could get another decent fee, but Shucky has to moan about the club wasting money on a shirt?!?! Unbelievable!!!

    FIFY

  8. AL also says that to use the North Stand would result in the friendlies making a loss for the club - now I admit Im no expert in running costs of a football match but wages of stewards, staff and overheads such as electric will be the same whether its 3000 paying 20 quid or a few hundred paying a fiver so not sure how he expected to make a profit anyway. I imagine some form of police will be there considering the opposition too

I take it you know everything about this situation,so that's why you decide that AL is in the wrong. You must have inside information from a reliable source.I don't think so.

It seems to me that this fans group haven't got that much money and maybe are now overcharging the footballing club(just guessing-like everyone else)

No I don’t know everything about the situation and if it was just this in isolation I would probably be less inclined to jump on his back but one thing after another over and over and AL’s “woe is me I didn’t know what I was buying” just smacks of bollocks.

No one told him what he was buying, Mike Keegan has it in for the club, Brass Bank has it in for the club, The FLG has it in for the club, staff leaving left right and centre with not a decent thing to say about the bloke (again a couple in isolation Id accept they might be in the wrong but all?) every man and is dog is picking on poor old AL except for a few of the “the fan” who appear to be Birkett and his cronies

Not factually Correct.what was left after the OEC charges  OAFC got. Which in the case of my 100 club season tickets was not very much.

Do you honestly believe that Blitz took no money from the club on match days. For most of the time up until recently that was the OECs  only revenue stream.

As I have said Previously I will support my Team first OAFC not the OEC.

No I believe (and know) that the club payed a flat rental to the OEC for the use of the stand on match days which was never hidden.

I also know that money transferred back and forth between OAFC and OEC several times to meet varying obligations each had in a Peter/Paul kind of way.

And if that was their only revenue stream I assume all those weddings and Christmas parties they’ve had for the last 3-4 years must have got them for free

The figures all added up to me. There was no way OAFC where making any money from my 100 Club season tickets. however with the drinks I purchased and the counter charge To OAFC I am sure the OEC where making a profit.

I take your point on staff, however OAFC have staff and overheads at there food outlets would you be happy paying £12.75 for a pie and a few peas ?

Neil Joy, Mark Moisley & Corney all said on more than one occasion that all matchday income from the North Stand went into the football club - now I am not by any stretch saying those three were bastions of truth (especially Corney) but who showed you these figures? If its a man that releases statements Goebbels would be proud of then I would question their legitimacy

I'll admit I haven't followed all of this, so I'll stand corrected if I've got this wrong, but here goes.

    1. North Stand/OEC is/was owned by Blitz/Gazal/Brassbank
    2. FLG have bought/are buying the North Stand/OEC from the above
    3. AL and Blitz/Gazal/Brassbank didn't exactly see eye to eye
    4. AL is not likely to see eye to eye with the FLG
    5. AL is now very pissed off with the FLG and is doing what he can to piss them off in return
    6. AL will not be able to close the North Stand once the League season starts, so gains nothing
    7. AL is a fruit loop/knobhead/clown who chucks his teddies out when anyone opposes him

That's my very simplistic view of the situation, so I'm genuinely interested to see where I've got it wrong.

Wrong wrong very wrong in the sense that the fucking idiot cant possibly have any teddies left

Good news on the contract extension but why does the club feel the need to lie and waste money.

Why print a shirt with Hamer 2022 on the back, it's just a complete waste for a club that's supposed to be struggling with finances.

The article also states that he went on to become an ever present which is a lie as he missed several games towards the end of the season .. small things like this aren't great and if a fan can pick up on them why can't the people at the club.

The shirts retail at what £40 and the printing is about £2 per number yet you’re ok with paying Vera a wage for 12 months? You crack me up
