Paul Edwards turned out to be a decent fullback for us when he reverted to the back.

Apart from the most ludicrous back pass in history which MK dons ran on to score... Sponsors gave him MOTM as a piss take and he even acknowledged as much in the interview in the corner flag suite afterwards 😂😂

It was an easy back pass too if hed used his right foot but he was more one legged than Long John Silver

energetic and made some good runs with no end product.

We are usually good at getting those, Paul Edwards, Jermaine Johnson, Sidney Schmeltz all great at getting you off your seat till it sunk in that ultimately they would do rock all with it when it mattered

Yep, Purdie was with us 2 years and never played once. But he was (allegedly) a midfielder, although we never actually found out.

He retired at the end of the 2017/18 season after his 5th spell with Hereford (and several other non-league teams along the way).

Penney’s first signing wasn’t he? Remember feeling quite optimistic about him.

Then again, I felt that way about Penney to at the start

I'm joint manager of the under 18's girls team. We have been officially associated with the club for about 2 years now but decided last year to not open a Women's team until the current crop of now under 18's are ready to make the jump up as a lot have been at the club throughout.

In 2 years time, maybe next year depending on how they cope with the under 18's league this upcoming season, they will make the jump to open age representing Oldham Athletic Football Club.

The under 18's this season however consists of 7, 16 year olds, 5, 15 year olds and currently 1, 14 year old so as you can appreciate this will be a big enough jump this season.

We aim this season to publish results of the games in order for Latics fans to keep up to date with the girls and women's teams.

Will you be offering season tickets?

Dan Gardner played 20 games last season. He scored 2 and assisted 6 times.

    Maouche played 34, returning 4 and 3.

    Baxter's numbers were 29, 4 and 2.

How the fk Maouche got a new contract - especially given what he was reportedly earning - on his performance at his job and the other two didn't, is a disgrace. It stinks.

    For context, here are some other comparisons;

    Nepo, 42, 6 and 10.

    Branger, 25, 5 and 8.

    Lang, 42, 13 and 2.

    O'Grady, 38, 7 and 3.

Look at the numbers.... there's no way he should've been offered a new contract. There has to be ulterior motives.

I don’t think Gardner wanted to be here and Baxter didn’t want a pay cut

    and Maouche is AL’s boy

    It was Peterborough

Peterborough was Kellys last game and we didn’t play them again until February - Dunn was sacked by then and Holden took the post match press conference from the 5-1 defeat - it wasnt Peterborough.

We did get 5-2 drumming against Southend under Dunn but just watched the interview it wasnt that one

Remember big Gord asking him if he was worried after being spanked 1.5 by Peterborough and he smiles and said no.

    Arrogant

That was David Dunn and it wasn’t Peterbrough.  Think he said “no are you”? With a bit of attitude

Just seen the press conference and thought LB came across as a very genuine and humble man. Now, that doesn't guarantee success but he is a likeable bloke and, hopefully, people will give him a fair crack of the whip. It's clear there is an intention to develop young talent to "sell on". No problem with that but it is a little strange that he's only on a 12 month contract. Nobody can do that in 12 months.

Perhaps the owners are sick of paying compensation to managers they sack, so he's been given a reassurance of a longer contract, providing the wheel doesn't fall off very quickly.

The fella's got a very tough task but I wish him the very best.

Don’t think there’s any sane Latics fan wishing him anything but the best but I can’t help feeling that he is going to be looking very dejected on a wet Boundary Park day about 5 games in with the Main Stand giving him words he will probably be glad he can’t understand.

it just feels very Darren Kelly ish but in French

** I also believe he will be the last person who should shoulder the blame

Considering English isn't his first language and plenty on here said he didn't speak a word of English (FACT) it wasn't that bad at all.

Can he coach them? Fuck knows, but his english isn't bad at all. Worst case scenario he'll be able to order a taxi to Manny airport easy enough

If he got one here it might be worth leaving the taxi outside with the meter running
