I agree but I think its only fair to ask what's gone wrong for him at Barnet to be in and out of the side and last night for him to be going through the motions when he should be one of their shining lights.
That's fair, but even if he comes in a squad player it's a step up from the likes of Tollitt

We should never be turning down bringing in extra quality, could make all the difference this season and sets us up for next season (whichever division we're in) too. I'd be delighted with Kanu

I reckon Conlon will be our most important signing in years. Goalscorers are incredibly important but a team is nothing without a competent midfield. Sounds like it clicked for him tonight already

had to read that twice thought he was either a vampire or a mega batsman
If he's a fast bowler he'll probably still get a call up to the test side

It has felt like kids kicking off because they can't open their presents on Christmas Eve all day

Can Dallas play out on the wing too or have I made that up?

Never seen him live, have you?
Yeah saw him at the Ritz in 2019

Can't understand anyone being underwhelmed with this, Dallas and Conlon are the kind of signings that get clubs promoted. Proper chuffed with this

Might just be some final i's to dot and t's to cross. I seem to remember Doyle being announced at about 8pm, for example. There's still time

They just posted a teaser video of Rod Stewart in a rowing boat. Make of that what you will

Some Blackpool fans genuinely want Madine back.
Not all about his goals, very physical and defenders in league 1 struggled to deal with him.
Yep. He would actually give us what people think Fondop offers us (but very rarely actually does).
Wouldn't turn my nose up at him at all
-
Madine would be an upgrade on Fondop. Would have no issue with signing him at all. Would be a good foil for Norwood (or a potentially other signing)

I'd be absolutely delighted with any of the names mentioned.
Bracing myself for signing an 18 year old back up left back on loan from QPR

This was announced in April last year:
Premier League clubs have collectively agreed to withdraw gambling sponsorship from the front of clubs' matchday shirts.
The change will begin at the start of the 2026/27 season.
Great stuff, it's a step in right direction
I've got nothing against people having a flutter (I do the odd accy myself) but the way it is pushed particularly around televised sporting events makes me really uneasy

Yes, there are problem gamblers just as there are problem drinkers, drug-takers, smokers etc. but none of those activities is subject to the same scrutiny that having a bet now finds itself subjected to, not even smoking which has had pariah status attached to it for decades.
You're entitled to your opinion and all but this is absolute nonsense. If anything there isn't enough done to prevent gambling addiction, you can't watch any sporting event without 3 or 4 adverts for betting sites with live odds being screamed at you every advert break, and it feels like half the clubs in the football league have a betting sponsorship.

I remember the last game against Mickleover when people were annoyed we went full strength
What's crazy is Mellon had predicted there would be an easterly breeze with sunny spells for the game after as well

I'm not sure when we started expecting managers to be meteorologists. I'll add it to the list of bizarre things I've seen Oldham managers criticised for

I’ll give you Bromley, they look the toughest prospects and they almost got to the final last year. But we’ve beaten all the other current play off teams already this season. We may or may not go up but I think we’ll compete at least, I don’t see us being the no hopers you and others do.
We've scored 4 away at Barnet and Rochdale and 3 away at Solihull already this season, all of whom are in the PO places. We'll absolutely compete

I also think Rochdale would beat us too which is embarrassing because they have about 9 players fit, but they’re a team that are up for the fight and we don’t have that.
The same Rochdale we recently put 4 goals past away from home?
-
Think we're third in the form table under Mellon. Not gonna panic because our reserves lost a tinpot cup game tbh

Remember us coming out with a bit of fight second half, getting a goal back early and then Jonathan Grounds (?) throwing the ball straight to their striker to make it 4-1 incredible that we came back from there
Also can't believe it's a decade ago!
Just watching it back and that made it 4-2. Also Gary Harkins would've only been 28 in that game!
