We all want the same thing at the end of the day and everything's on the table for debate
Even Big Dave's position as manager

That’ll please the Unsworth outers and confirms he’ll take the blame if the shit hits the fan!!
He had a free hit last season but it became clear, after all his fuck ups, there was a system and we finished where most had predicted,
This time out, he's had incredible backing on the player budget, a full pre season and free reign on all fronts.
If he doesn't get it right this time, we all know that he wasn't the right man to take us forward but I hope I'm wrong

No, you have to pick a side and then be either baffled, or claim the other side is deluded for not thinking like you.It wouldn't do for us all to be the same and that's what keeps the forum alive
There's a good mix on here, imagine life without it

Correct….we now have 3, maybe even 4 strikers who are capable of scoring 20 goals a season.
Could be a centurion season then

No proof there is any relevance so you cant state like this is some fact. Unless you're saying the fact Nuttall played in all those games after new year is the reason we scored so many and were 3rd in form table?
Until he fulfills his potential? He was literally joint 7th top scorer in the whole league last season. Clutching
You're absolutely correct, he's most certainly no goal machine over his distinguished career so far,
I just don't see him as the answer but hope that I'm proved wrong

fully expect him to.
Mike, Pass Joe that non fungable 'Carthorse' sticker the bellends made for you last year..
Scoring goals is his job but if he can't do that maybe he'd make a decent centre half?
Criticism is valid and will continue to be so, until he fulfils his potential and repays the faith put in him, if it's still the same with 10 game's played, I'd get rid
We need Winner's!

They employ the awful Steve McManaman to commentate, therefore their coverage cannot be brilliant.
Throw in Robbie Savage and Rio Ferdinand then average is about the best they can do.
A terrible trio of has-beens
The latter pair I wouldn't discuss the colour of orange juice with, can't bloody stand either of em.

Fondop was in Nuttalls place this time last year, it was virtually impossible to find somebody else who liked him.
Ah but what did he do about it?
Let's hope Joe takes note because currently he's on a downward trajectory

I'm no great fan of Nuttall if you look back on my posts and support in other fans criticism of him.All I'm saying is that he must improve and get sharper and fitter and him and Hope can both improve and help in what is an abundance of strikers for Unsworth to choose from over the entirety of the season.
Surely he'll realise his position is in serious jeopardy and wake up,
He still has time to get going and redeem himself, I seriously hope he takes it onboard and knuckles down.
10 to 15 goals should now be his own target with better players around him.

Let's see how many they score for us eh. Fondop first choice. Other spots open
If Willoughby performs to anywhere near his previous potential, I'd go even further and say that Nuttall won't get a look in but that's just stating the obvious.

Nuttall getting hammered again. How many did Reid score today and how many did he miss?
Unless he gets his shit together and soon,
His time and opportunities are going to be very limited with 3 preferred over him.

Top bloke too. Good for the team, good for the club.
Without doubt the main man, Nuttall could learn alot from him

I don't see us as champions but who can say?
Chesterfield should have enough to put paid to that one, although I see us running them very close and up via the play offs like Notts ;0)

It's abit of fine margin though. We've had a pretty miserable decade as far as football fans are concerned and grievances have been justified. In that time Ive felt it necessary to come on here and get things off my chest but it can quickly go into a rant.
We've won 6-1 and all people want to do is find fault in a player who didn't play in this game, is a 1 in 3 striker (could be a 1 in 2 if he puts his mind to it this season) and 1 who walks into half the teams in this division it begins to smack of entitlement. I just get angry about that.
There's nothing wrong with being reminded of sense of percepective sometimes. The term long suffering fans could easily be applied to us. But really we don't suffer do we. People suffered during covid, people in Ukraine are suffering but seeing our football team not always winning is not suffering. Abit frustrating but we are not suffering.
I'm looking forward to this season, for the first time in 20 years I'm actually expecting a promotion push. If we go up it will be fantastic if we don't it will be frustrating possibly even gutting if say we lose in play off final (which Luton did twice) but it won't be a tragedy knowone will die directly because of it and we will still all have to go to work and pay the bills.
I know Ive gone off on abit of a tangent but sometimes we need to remind ourselves It's only football at the end of the day let's all just enjoy it shall we.
Well said

Like Vienna,
Pre season results mean nothing to me.
This time around we'll have more than enough to be challenging and that should be the expectation from the very start.

Could be another pinch me season of sorts,
We're really going for it and these player's being signed must think they'll be playing in League two next season.
Feeling very positive now and many thanks to Frank and the Royle's for making this happen, WE'RE BACK!

I get that, the debate here is Dave's ability to see the job through and I hope to God he takes us back to the promised land, preferably this season
We have top owner's, the fan's are fully onboard and as far as I'm concerned everything is up for debate until it's done.
We don't belong in non league and that needs to change.
