Anyone remember the Jack Kerouac "On The Road" parody?
Genius.

Good luck.

Been reading their board. They are not happy with this whatso ever. Even less so than some on here. the word murderer and scumbag appear numerous time. Harsh words and ultimatley might have been a bad move for hughsey unless he can bang in some goals early on to get them on his side. As for latics i think that the promotion push has gone but at least we can try out new things. And who knows maybe LH was holding some players back. Its hard to know what goes on behind the scenes.
Yeah, like Eardley in central midfield or....
...wait a minute, what year is this?

Is this a wind up?
It would appear so.
I live over the road from BP and have seen / heard nowt all morning.

Both right, if people don`t want to go then just say, don`t hide behind the word boycott!
Boycott - To abstain from or act together in abstaining from using, buying, or dealing with as an expression of protest or disfavour.
I am not attending the game tomorrow.
I have both the financial means to do so, and the willingness to travel long distances to support the team.
I will never knowingly financially contribute to an organisation whose practices or actions I find morally unacceptable - be it a financial institution, soft drink manufacturer or sporting franchise.
I am fully aware that, in isolation, my actions may be considered futile.
Frankly Mr Shankly - a friend of mine is a Bristol Rovers supporting Grimsby sympathiser who made me aware of the shirt.
(As an aside, what has happened to the OWTB T-Shirt series?)

They will never get a penny from me.

The down side is that you can't balance transfer MBNA cards.
Not directly, but...
if you call them and ask if you can have the 0% interest free deal on cash transactions instead of on balance transfers for the same period, they should agree - but will charge you 3% for each transaction (the typical balance transfer fee).
Just transfer the required amount to your bank account, payoff your other MBNA balance, and Bob's your proverbial.

I was referring to Blitz's interview in the last home game of last season, on 26th April 2008
"after getting just over £330k from our cup exploits and receiving the first half of Trotmans money, we lost £380k last year."
Fair do's.
My memory is evidently not what it once was

Splendid evening all 'round!
Wasn't sure about them "playing in the round" beforehand, but it worked perfectly.
Anyone else see Lars nearly take a tumble into his kit when the turntable moved as he was stepping on?
-
Am sure the 500k from trotman was to be paid in two installments though, 250k now 250k in 12 months
Maybe, but I seem to recall a Corney interview where he stated that "the £500,000 recieved for Neal Trotman helped balance the books this year".
-
Have we cashed in on him or do we still get a sell on fee?
Chron states:
The transfer fee received from Brighton for Craig Davies and money collected from Manchester City and Preston as part of the deals for Micah Richards and Neal Trotman had made sizeable inroads into the deficit.
Suspect the money for Richards and Trotman are appearance based payments, and that any sell on clauses are still very much alive.

Sounds like Railway Stations are being brought in line with the nations swimming pools.
So that's smoking and kissing out of the equation, and quite possibly running knowing standard H & S guidelines.
My moneys on no bombing next...

May I remind those with the average football fan memory that the last time we did a 'local promotion' was the home game vs Leyton Orient. And the away fans categorically were not included in that deal.
Except they still got in for a tenner.

Hang about, wasn’t the story doing the rounds that he was dropping his kids off? Not in Rochdale I wouldn’t have thought.
Anyway, now my brothers’ missus will know where he lives. Binoculars at the ready...
euphemism?

Soccer star denies drink driving
26/ 1/2009
OLDHAM Athletic's captain Sean Gregan appeared before magistrates today (Monday) accused of drink driving on a motorway.
Mr Gregan, captain of the League One side, pleaded not guilty at Rochdale to a single charge of driving with excess alcohol.
The case was adjourned to March 27, two days before his 35th birthday.
Mr Gregan, 34, of Hereford Road, Harrogate, spoke only to confirm his name, address and enter his plea during the brief hearing.
It was alleged he was driving a Volkswagon Golf on the M62, near Rochdale, on October 3. A pre-trial hearing was listed for March and Mr Gregan was excused attendance. He was released on unconditional bail.
Mr Gregan, a midfielder and defender, has made more than 600 career appearances in English football leagues, scoring 21 goals.
He signed for Oldham Athletic on a two-and-a-half year contract in January 2007. He began his career at Darlington, followed by spells at Preston North End, West Bromwich Albion and Leeds United.

Night of the Hunter needs a mention, Robert Mitchums' best performance?
Would also have Clerks, Psyhco, Man Bites Dog and Eraserhead on my list.

Why do we need a debate, it's an individual preference as to where you prefer to watch your football at BP. Having the home and away fans next to each other has helped raise the general atmosphere in a ground which is renouned around the leagues as being one of the 'quieter' ones.
As for the drummer (how the hell did this debate start again!!!), I take great issue with some on here that seem to think that if you don't like the drum you are some how old and complain all the time...couldn't be further from the truth. If the club (and it is their right to decide) let the drummer stay then they should take the lead and tell him exactly which seat/seats he will be allowed to play the drum from. This is a decision that can/should happen as early as possible and be publicised (as it is as places like Blackpool, Blackburn etc etc..where everyone is fully aware of the drummers location as it is fixed season after season). That way everyone can make an informed decision as to where they wish to locate.
Chaddy, RRE, Main Stand...really who cares as long as we have people in the ground and backing the team in whichever way THEY prefer!![/b]
Now, the world don’t move to the beat of just one drum,What might be right for you, may not be right for some.

Could you inform us what he said? I assume he's been on now?
Main points;
Feels he did not get a chance to prove hilmself in the Prem, when the rest of the Championship squad did, and was disappointed with this.
Turned down 5 clubs to join us - three in the Championship.
Sounded like Shez sweet tailked him into it, "I spoke to John, who told me I had nothing to prove to anyone, and I should come to Oldham and enjoy my football again".
Suprised at how we played the game against Hartlepool, "getting it down, passing it around".
Said there are lots of talented youngsters here, "2 or 3" being constantly watched by scouts from higher Divisions.
Apart from saying "we lost on Sat" the Hereford match was not talked about.

Just to let you know I have not even had the courtesy of a reply to my email.
I'll still be going, but will not be spending a single penny more than the cost of admission.
who is to blame?
