  1. I know it's not the right place but I don't have any contact details for him, have sent a message through FB but not reply as yet.

I don't know his username on here or if he even comes on here but if anyone knows him, please can you ask him to PM me on here, or look at his FB messages. It is in relation to a child mascot place for next Tuesday and I need to know ASAP.

    Thanks

    Lisa

  2. Thursday 15th December 2011, Heyside Cricket Club, 7pm - 9pm

Tickets are £5 for members, £7.50 for children who are non-members and adults. Everybody attending needs a ticket!!!

There will be a raffle, chance to get autographs / photos with the players, play games etc. There will also be the mascot draw for the second half of the season. Ticket price includes food.

Tickets are available now from the club shop and from Spindles from Wednesday onwards.

Please note the room we have this time is smaller than the usual room and therefore not as many tickets are available. We will sell out and will not be able to take any 'pay on the night' people. I urge you to get your tickets as early as possible.

  3. Boundary Blues and Chaddy's Gang are running a trip to Preston North End on Tuesday 25th October.

The cost of return coach travel and match entry is £13 for members of Boundary Blues and Chaddy's Gang and £22 for non-members travelling with a member (so parents etc).

Although this is a midweek game, it is during half term and that is why we have decided to run the trip.

Tickets can be book in the club shop from today.

We will choose a member off the coach list to be the match mascot. If you have any questions, please email me on boundary.blues@gmail.com or send me a pm on here.

  4. He waved at the owl!

    Twice!

There are other threads to discuss the game (end of a good run - we'll have another) but sometimes other events can make your own personal recollections of a game much better than everyone else's. I, personally, have fonder memories of a 0-2 defeat at Bournemouth and 0-3 at home to West Brom (because I was laughing like a drain), than I do our first home game in the Premiership. Today was probably his first such game.

After the usual anxiety, an intervention by Lisa (who runs Chaddy's Gang amongst other things) lead to some mutual waves being exchange between F and Chaddy. She and her daughter, went out of her way to make him feel better and it really made his day. To say he is made up is an understatement. He's told everyone about today's events and to hear him you'd think we'd won 4 points.

Kids being kids, he may well be a little edgy again at his next match (MK Dons on a school night...hmmm, I'll think about it) but to hear him say during our half time kick about that he was looking out for Chaddy to wave to him, rather than to run away - was great. He obviously now knows that he can feel OK when Chaddy's around and it's like a weight off him.

There are some top people at our club.

Very happy to oblige, so was the daughter (and if he didn't like the sweets then blame her)!! He did look a little worried at first but then half a smile appeared so all was well.

Hopefully he'll wave again at the next match.

  5. erm, I am a little disturbed by this thread!

    1) Gail Force is clearly Mr Tumble at weekends.

    2) I'll see what I can do re Chaddy and a scared Mstr F B

    3) Chaddy Owl condoms - slogan ideas? Could be a marketing plan. Can owls turn their heads all the way around?

    4) The boy Bury was moved to Oldham SCBU to get his B&B there for a few days, he was well educated from the windows when his wires etc would allow him to be moved that far!!!

    and

    5) Rapids Johnson will never find the panda, fact of life.

  6. I think the problem with the tickets was that Latics were awaiting confirmation from Scunthorpe for the cost of the tickets and also whether to take the promotional tickets out of the allocation already sent to Latics by Scunthorpe or if they were going to send additional tickets.

    Hope that makes sense!

  7. My food was lovely but then again I went for the veggie option, not massed produced and very nice!!!

Was also impressed that my winning bottle of red wine was swapped for rose wine when I asked.

There was a few too many people in the room and it was a bit warm but all in all, it was a good night and raised lots of money for the trust.

(oh and the city tickets were offered by PD on the spot. It would've been disrespectful to turn to him and say 'no thanks, you can keep them' He was offering a way for the Trust to get more money and there's nothing wrong with that)

  8. Latics Junior Supporters Club

It is called the Boundary Blues and there are loads of benefits to joining, including a season ticket for just £50 in the Chaddy End or Rochdale Road End!

I will get the website sorted out.

  9. Ok so along with all the ones already mentioned above, one that sticks in my mind is Sunday 12th October 2008, Hereford United at home.

The previous match we'd played away at Stockport on the Friday night and lost 3-1, the first time we'd lost in the league that season. Not impressed, rubbish display, no leg room and at 9 months pregnant I was massively uncomfortable all night and couldn't even have a pint!!! The week that followed was a rollercoaster of emotions and I won't bore you with the details but as I stood in the special care baby unit at Oldham I looked out of the windows and promised my baby that one day I would take him across the road to Boundary Park.

So at the grand old age of 8 days, having been discharged and with the sun shining, we wrapped him up and took him to his first game. I think he slept through our 4-0 win but at least I'd kept my promise!!!!

  10. My 4 year old has developed an (un)healthy Latics obsession and has been to around half a dozen games this season. When out of school he pretty much wears his kit all the time. I was thinking of getting us a family ticket for next season (I haven't had one for years).

However, I'm a bit miffed that, at 4, he's not old enough to join the Boundary Blues but would still cost the same for a ticket. At the moment, I pay on the gate and lift him over the barrier with me. I wouldn't mind paying a £50 ticket for him but not if he can't get the BB benefits that others do and, obviously, if he can't get one then I won't either.

If your son joins Chaddy's Gang then he gets the same benefits as a Boundary Blues member apart from the chance to be a mascot. However, you still get the benefit of discounts for parties and subsidised away trips etc.

  11. Good game, a shame more didn't turn up to watch it. A fair few scouts around which means our kids must be doing something right.

I think their heads went down when Preston's second went in, against the run of play. I missed the third due to having 'a nice little walk on the massive steps'

Someone needs to get rid of that PA man though!! :D:D
