  1. Roy doing a great impression of comedy tv presenter Bob Fleming from the Fast Show tonight. No changed my mind, didn’t Bob at least talk some sense when he’d cleared his throat..
  2. MM needs to reshuffle after that. You could see that we struggle to keep any passing move going because there isn’t enough movement in front. Garner being played alongside Norwood was. part of that problem. We end up either passing in small midfield triangle, backwards or punt to strikers. This going to be worse without Norwood who’s the only one to make that run. Conlon is a passing midfielder but nobody offering. Dallas was played in midfield and forced to do more closing down than attacking. Green is a good option and can get a cross in - I don’t agree with some of the criticism on here. Micky sees exactly what we see, I do trust that he will find an answer. There’s still a long way to go.
  3. YouTube clip of Walker here when he was playing youth team for Preston 3 years ago. From this he looks like a quick winger with a few tricks. Scored both goals in the game. .. make that 4 years ago.
  4. The description of Mellon from Trfc2024 ticks a lot of boxes for me. We should be hugely grateful to ST for steadying the ship in recent weeks, but I was always thinking he would be a comfortable option for the players he helped to bring in. Mellon sounds like he will challenge poor performance which seems to have crept back in. If there was any boardroom disagreement I think the right side won. Hoping FR can find a way to back him with the required squad changes.
  5. You’re right. I meant DU’s sit back tactics didn’t deserve the equaliser. Norwood deserves the credit for following up definitely. Top striker.
  6. No player would choose to walk out on to the pitch with the intention of sitting back and watching the other team play like that. I have my own gripes with the performances of individuals but it must be so frustrating to be told to back off like that. They struggle to find a pass on rare occasion they get the ball because the team is static and not ready to break forward. They pass it then walk back to their position. DU will not change his mentality and has to go. We’re supposed to be 2nd favourites in the NL! Fantastic that Norwood scored. Team didn’t deserve it though.
  7. My thoughts on a couple of points discussed tonight. I saw the Curzon Ashton and Mansfield games so have something to base this on. Green hasn’t been played at WB in these games. Hobson has played RB in 442 with Green right midfield, but he still has defensive duties obvs. I’ve thought Green has been brightest performer in both - he’s going to be a key part of our attacking play this year. Not trying to bring back the Nuttall debate again, but he looks ultra low on confidence. Almost every ball played to him was turned over to Mansfield because mis-controlled or poor flick. Think DU was giving him time to play into some kind of form but didn’t work. Still poor booing your own player off. Nuttall can’t start tomorrow for me. Statement signing Norwood must start with either Reid or Fondop.
