Perfect blue match to the home shirt, checked it this morning.
So both home shorts and away shorts are blue but one has a white flash and one has a tangerine flash?
How are we gonna get away with that then?
-
I believe the club won the game 5-1 with a team containing young squad members and a trailist (well thats the excuse I heard for them losing).
The tangerine kit is all tangerine (can't wait to see Taylor in it) with a blue stripe down the side of the shorts ... I believe maddog will be psoting pictures lately, fingers crossed that they are in focus lol!!
Also heard that the rumoured left back (who is older than me and Charlton) could well be starting tomorrow....
Those shorts don't look very tangerine to me Mark?!

oo-ah kalala say oo=ah kalala
Every time I hear his name spoken out loud, I can't help but hear it to the tune of Boney M's 'Brown Girl in the Ring'.
Jean Paul Kalala
Ka la la la la!
Jean Paul Kalala
Kaaaa la la la la la
Jean Paul Kalala
Ka la la la la......
and so on.

Crossley will be number 1 keeper
Shez give it away by giving him the Number one shirt off
Pogs Back!!!!
21-0 in votes just hope Pogs does not see this or it
will dent him confidence even more!!!!!
Don't think Pogs ever played in the No.1 shirt did he? Sure he was 13 or summat last year?
-
Nope. Rocastle certainly wasnt the answer, as we do in my opinion still need yet one more centre midfielder - but he was certainly more than capable without the need for being replaced at a cost financially. I'd much rather have seen the £30,000 or whatever it was, go to someone who would be a good investment for the future.
Like i've said. There is an abundance of players out there. For Free. You just have to find them. I dont agree with any club re-signing former players. I hate it.
What about Mark Hughes resigning for united Rocky?

I think i have just posted my last post on JK, i posted the same post as on here, yes it is controversial yet i have been slaughtered by the majority of the posters on there. Where on here people have disagreed and rightly so everyone is entitled to their opinion, no personal comments were thrown my way. I think there is a great messageboard here with posters wanting to have genuine debates rather than slanging matches. Thankyou mods and posters keep up the good and pleasant work!
Sorry Ross, but as I said in reply to your post on JK, to insinuate that JPK will be the new target of the 'boo boys' because he is black - like Betsy, Rocky and Forbes, is utter, utter . In my opinion, like.
All your point proved was that the 3 of them had been abused and all happened to be black, Along with Butcher, Branston, Scott, Warne (in his first season) Bonner, Bonner, Boshell, Porter last year (remember the 'Gail' jibes?) who don't.
Oh, and just to remind you, I think it was YOU who resorted to calling people 'plebs'.
-
Did i say they lied? nope - i said it was rubbish.
They were nowhere near signing Berger than you or I ringing Aston VIlla up and asking about signing him for the Dog & Duck.
What i was pointing out is that the club/official site are suddenly being very open in whom they are trying to sign - when previosuly under the same regime they would not tell you diddly squat for which you reasoning you could understand.
Also they have seemed to suddenly find money for transfers - another move away from where they have been in recent times; its not like we are the biggest best supported club is it.
I will be over the moon is we get a decent striker or two, i thoguht Davies was good against us for Wolves - but why have the club changed suddenly on both these issues? I got sucked into the hype yesterday but lesson learned for me personally
They clearly were closer than that as Berger was actually at the club yesterday having talks.

The point about it making West Ham go down, without meaning to be rude, is comeplete horse crap.
They broke the rules, and they should be punished. Altricham had 18points taken off for a lesser offence, Bury were kicked out of the cup, various other situations have had that style of punishment... they just bottled out this time and as much as I dislike Sheffield they've got an exceptioanlly strong case and I think they should be reinstated.
Agree completely Ackey, and to make matters even worse it was Tevez, the illegally signed player who scored the only goal in their last day win at the Scum.
Football STINKS!
-
Glombard?
You've just completely spoiled it for me now BFL!

Scoring wasnt a problem, we let too many in. Adrain Littlejohn injured Les. If Les would have been fit for the whole season, we would have gone up Auto no problems...
Don't agree SW. Only Wigan conceded less than us thast season, and they were AWESOME that year. And our away record was immense, only losing 2 away from BP.
I think we drew too many games.
Only 3 players got into double figures that year and Eyresy top scored with 13 league goals.

Pogliacomi
Low
Fitz Hall
Hill
Haining
Eyres
Murray
Darren Sheridan
Armstrong
Andrews
Eyre.
Subs: Duxbury, Miskelly, Baudet, Corazzin, Carss
(Probable/possible)
Blayney
Charlton/Eddy
Haining
Gregan
Eardley
Taylor
McDonald
Wellens
Liddell
Porter
Warney
Subs: Someone young, Glombard, Rocky, Roque, Lomax?
Which would you prefer? From first glance I would say that at the moment we have more quality overall now than the 2003 lot did, sadly we picked the wrong time of the year to stop showing it. The 2003 team had more fight in it IMO. John Eyre and Mini-Shez play a major role in both of those averages.
I'd go for a dream team of:
Pogs
Gregan
Hill
Fitz
Eyres
Murray
Rocky
Wellens
Taylor
Porter
Liddell
I await a cyber-bashing!
Andy, with Porter in that 2003 side we'd have drunk that league.
-
If we ARE looking for a new left back, what about Dean Lewington from MK Dons?
Quality against us last season and looked ok in the play game on tv tother night.
Suppose it depends on if we go up or if MK Dons come up?
-
pah!
If it gets us promoted I think he should take it on the chin!! Hardy may not be every one's best mate... but I stand by the 'what harm can it do' - promotion's promotion. Hardy's not going to quit and the sooner people accept that the better, he's never been anything but pleasant to me!
lol You have no idea, mate! They say football brings out the most irrational of behaviours in people!
I have no problem with him on a personal level Ackey, and in fact I know from personal experience that he is extremely supportive of the Boundary Blues and will go out of his way to help wherever he can.
-
Indeed.
Can't do any harm eh!?
Ohhh the irony, mailing a video put together by Alan Hardy's number 1 fan (NOT) to the man himself, to ask him to show said clippage to the players to inspire them!
He'll be 'kin furious when he finds out!

Undoubedly one of my favourite 3 Latics players along with Palmer and Stitch, and agree totally that he is one of the nicest, most genuine blokes I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. My wife bought me his signed shirt from the play off game at QPR as a wedding present (which I thought was a damned impressive pressie!).
I spotted him a few years back shopping with his missus in St Ann Square which is where I work. I said hello to him as I walked toward him and he stopped to speak to me, and I (being nearly 30 at the time) clammed up like a star struck schoolboy, and then blurted some incomprehensible guff about the game at the weekend or summat. Felt like a right d**k afterwards!
I was lucky enough though to be sat back to back with him at his benefit dinner at the Avant, and after the meal we both turned our chairs round to face the speakers - so ended up sat side by side, and had a good laugh with him for a good portion of the evening, taking the mickey out of the speakers, most notably Stitch (who of course signed him), and out of one or two guests who were considerably worse for wear, most notably Shaun Garnett who was absolutely puddled!
Lovely, lovely bloke!

The Club Badge part of the Flag looked great 'flying' across the Chaddy today as the players came out before today's match. For those players who've never seen it before, it must have really impressed them.
Well done once again to those lads who organised and paid for it. You must have been very proud today to see the fruit of your labours. The Channel 4 documentary camera team was in the Chaddy today, so hope they managed to catch the rebirth of the Flag.
Has anyone got any piccies of the flag from Saturday?

how do i get one of the t shirts? xxxl for me
Bob, the shirts are MAHOOOOOOSIVE! Trust me, you don not need an XXXL! We're talking Gordon Lawton XXXL (not being at all rude to Big Gord there)!
-
Got to agree, not keen on the white or the legend on the back, sorry.
Edit oh and maybe just GROVES, dunno why maybe its a bit like Chrissy instead of Chris.
Agree with Stipey on this, just 'Groves' on the front for me, but like the white rather than the tangerine (but I never saw him play so what do I know?).
Also like the number on the back, maybe with Groves written above it like the modern squad shirts?

In 1998 (I think) when he was managing us, he did a guest appearance at the Sun Inn on Henshaw Street in Oldham which at the time was my mate's parents pub. I think it was for the Rainbow Trust or something and he was doing the 'big cheque' thing, but he stuck around for ages, had a few drinks and just chatted with people.
Anyway, it was just around the time (maybe just after) of the World Cup when Laurent Blanc kept kissing Fabian Bartez' head before each of France's games. Me and my kid brother decided we wanted a picture with him, and after consuming a rather large amount of fizzy pop, we decided we wanted a piccy of the pair of us giving him a 'Laurent Blanc - one either side - on his big baldy bonce!
I sidled up to him and asked if we could get a picture and he duly got one of us either side of him, and then we just stuck the lips on him! He looked at us like we were a right pair of idiots (which is pretty close to the truth) and then just drunk himself laughing!
Top TOP man!
Sadly it was in the days before digital cameras and I never managed to lay my hands on the photo taken by my mates dad!

A question thats been asked many times and for me still only one answer, I'd go and watch Chadderton FC, especially now they have plans for a shiny new stand and facilities, oh yes they do I've seen 'em, done by a proper architectural firm and everything. Mind as we aint going any where it'll be easier to get to Broadway to watch the ressies than it will Stalybridge!
Quite right Stipey.
Was born at BPH and grew up in Chadderton. Couldn't bring myself to support another league club.

What a coincidence it was that we happened to be stopped at Stoke when about 8 officers came through our carriage. They weren't looking to eject people were they?
What was the point in making us wait for the next train? If we were so aggresive, abusive, drunk and disorderly then why leave us unsupervised at Stoke to wait for the next train which incidentally had no officers on? They realised they made a boob, half of them all but admitted it, the other half (the women officers and a lad that looked about 12) loved it, 8 to eject two of us who didn't put up any fight whatsoever but they saw the need in arms up backs and frogmarching us out. Few nice bruises all over my arms. All for saying the F word in conversation. Sorry.

Inspiral, that just reminded me of one of my favourite times/feelings at BP. During that era, the "we're gonna score one more than you" era. As a 16-ish year old boy I can remember standing in the Chaddy End singing "score in a minute, we're gonna score in a minute" and genuinely KNOWING it was true! And playing toward the Chaddy End in the second half we'd sing "Score in the Chaddy, we always score in the Chaddy" .
Brilliant, brilliant days!
