Whilst watching the England v Brazil match last night it got
me thinking of the friendly we had against a Brazilian side
sometime I think in the late 60's maybe early 70's, can
anyone remember it ? team ? score ? players - both sides ?
all I can remember is they shot from anywhere on the pitch
that night & they weren't a million miles away with most shots.

very good idea one that has been used before which unfortunatley didnt work how it was suppose too !
The Trust have helped, encouraged and requested the club identify area like this for the past 18 mths.
Hopefully some good news is just around the corner ! Until final decisions have been made I can not confirm any details. The Trust have no say in what ideas the club goes with, the final say is with the club ! They are the ones that have to impliment them which hope should be more workable soon.
Be assured all ideas are read and considered either on here on by email to the club.
Just a suggestion to advertise the clubs forthcoming fixtures,
produce some decent sized posters , approach the likes of
M'c donalds etc. to display in there windows at all their outlets
within say a 10 mile radius of Boundary Park as a trade off
they get free advertising at B.P.

I'm being offered H95 in the paddock PVS stand... is 95 near the tunnel or the chaddy end?

..unless you were at Ipswich for that game.
..unless you shook a bucket at the All Star game.
..went to Ian Woods testimonial.
..saw AlanGroves play.
..saw Carl Valentine play.
Just to show I am proper Oldham fan, because I was ruled out after about the 2nd post otherwise!
Changed ends at half time by passing under the clock in the broadway stand.
Watching Ronnie Blairs disallowed goal against the red b*****ds.
threw into the sheet collection for the floodlight fund & saw the top of the league
(currently premier league) winners Burnley in the official opening match.
seeing Grovesy getting kicked to f**k at bournemouth & still getting m.o.t.m.
seeing Grovesy sitting on the ball pretending to tie his laces absolute p**s take.
Walking down Wembley Way to see Joe Royles aces.
Seen the likes of Pheonix.Bazley & Swan 'eee' them where good old days.
'The best ever Sir Bobby Johnstone'
Watching Laurie Sheffield try to score from the half way line 'with a header'
Walking with the rest of the puddled crew (only joking) to save the 'Tics'

although I recognise Graham from the picture I never had the pleasure
of having a discussion with Graham. I truely feel for his family & friends
at this period in time.

After Pele the guys probably the greatest sportsman of all times.
-
If he's going to Thorpe Arch this morning, he must be flying it
because at 11.30 am this morning he was in his kit training
with tics first team squad down at Chapple Road.
ps had a chat with Smalley & he reckons he could be out for a couple
of months with his back injury.

nearest hostelry at present is the Lancaster Club, but its claimed the
club would be used for an indoor football pitch.

Did anyone indulge in the pies on offer at Bury yesterday ?
£3.00 & above per pie 'WHAT THE FLUCK'. Just hope that
Latics dont adapt the same policy !
-
Beckett's finishing was better too 24 goals in 36 games.
By the way does anyone know who the guy who was stretchered off was ?
no mention on the Bury tannoid system also what are his injuries ?
-
I emailed Simon Corney and Alan Hardy, last weekend, as yet I've had no reply.
In reply to KH Latics, I'd be thrilled to be given the chance to re-purchase my collection at a later date for a small premium on top of the original price naturally.
All may not be lost as I've an interview on Monday, so fingers crossed BUT obviously I wouldn't start until September.
Best of luck with the interview mate, but at least your over the first hurdle,
you've at least got an interview. Many don't even get a response to their
application.

Been looking thro' the topics & noticed that oafcprozac is in the sheite somewhat.
Now he holds a collection of Latics memorobilia which at this moment in time
he finds himself in a position whereby he either sells, on or I presume starves
( I don't know the guy)
This got me thinking, looking at the OWTB members total, it today registers
2440 members , I don't think this amount of members are still active readers
but if there where say 2000, then lets ask those members if they would be willing
to contribute £1.00p each to buy this collection, with the option to either :
1/ Give oafcprozac the option to buy back the collection at price paid for or
2/ suggestions open to offers? ( raffle to every one involved) (sell it off as a one off
& donate to OWTB website)
comments appreciated.

Help required if possible,
Whenever I access the internet,( this also pops up frequently whilst i'm on the internet)
a grey dialogue box with a blue upper strip appears,
across the blue strip a message appears, the latest being 'WINDOWS DEFENDER:MSASCUI.exe - Bad Image
this message changes very time in relation to the pre .exe info.
below there is a red warning circle with a white cross within. followed by the message
The application or DLL C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM 32\digeste,dll is not a valid windows image
please check this against your installation diskette.
there is then an OK box & a close down dialogue box X symbol
if any one knows what this is or hopefully how to get rid of it would
much appreciated.
cheers Keith

Seriously, is there anyone on here who prides themselves in being a pie expert and can recommend the best away grounds' pies from their experience? Similarly any which you would avoid in future.
Rochdale have it spot on with Hollands pies but they complement it
with ' MUSHY PEAS'
Also this years addition of cottage pie at Boundary Park has been
appreciated.
-
chelski have been mastering that for years.
Itake it you've not been watching manure
-
I hope he gets the book thrown at him, all types of cheating
has crept into the game & the referee's are being conned by
training ground conceived ideas.
I really wish the premiership would try to convince F.I.F.A.
to use an official using a monitor to give advice to the match
referee.
CHEATING needs stamping out NOW.
-
Ian Holloway please.
Whats Brian Little doing nowadays?
-
Lags,
could you please divulge where you acquire these tickets from
as every time I try various train websites for latics travel all I
can find are extortionate fares.
cheers Keith
