Smalley seems to run fast moving his feet alot, into a croud of defenders, and leaves the ball behind.
having said that, he had a decent game.
-
And he went for that pile on a bit didnt he!
-
Is this a whoosh?
otherwise you werent at the match, or your just blind.
Taylor worst player at club? - hahaha
-
Taaaaxiii for Looooomaax!
Great finish
-
I think Smalley is going to Stockport.
is that a wild stab in the dark, or an informed statement???
-
Alessandra's song? Let's think outside the box people!
come on - you dont think i was being serious.
*thinks back to countless threads about how we sing dudud everybody*

de de deerrrrr de-ee-e-ean win-dass

greg flemming could look a wee bit less like elvis?
-
His boots are there he just hasn’t got them because he didn’t want to get them dirty.
How skinny does Allott look?
to be fair, hes stood in the same line up as crossley and ricketts
-
shame, because he wouldve done a job here.
he can still hit them, evident from his strike in the playoffs in the summer
-
My source is a joke thats getting old!!
....yantorno?
-
ye! what the hell did that mean?
-
or perhaps byfield burned them because he clearly hates the club.
-
Yes I think so.
And I think its a shame, because in the few times hes played hes looked really good. And we dont have a big tall striker to hold up the ball like he does.
-
I dont have a clue what your talking about
-
Rubes for me,
with flemingo and gregan a close second
-
Not mentioning the Fleming mess-up in the first half...
Should of had that game. Unfortunately, most of 'em are going ... no effort towards the end...
If by flems mess up you mean the screaming save he made at his left hand post.......?
-
COG was our man that could hold up the ball when we are being battered, but holding onto a lead. I like him as a player, partially due to his backheel that was part of jones/hughes goal at walsall, and am sad to see that hes not in any immediate plans.

Never thought JP was given enough time to show whether he was any good or not at Latics - cannot be bothered to look up stats, but I bet he didn't play that much in total.
Felt he was a similar player to Maher - not exciting, but effective at breaking up the oppositions play in midfield and passing a short simple (normally) sideways pass to a team mate.
I like Kevin, but do wonder whether we needed him before we'd properly give JP a chance.
Agree 100%

hmmm - we were singin the yorkshire song against carlisle...
but i think we should start the "mentals coming home" chant
-
Best moment - Everton goal
Best home game - Huddersfield (4-1)
Best away game - Everton
Worst home game - Hartlepool - we were unbelivably poor
Worst away game - gillingham (0-0) couldnt score, bitterly cold
Best day out - Brighton, thanks to the group of people sat behind us, and OldhamSheridans persistant singing.
Best goal - Gary mac at everton
Player of the year - Reuben Hazell. Solid all the way.
Most improved - Chris Taylor - because last season IMO he was average at best.
Best OWTB member - Any of the eardley haters who are so deluded its funny.
-
really looking forward to this one.
but iv got a horrible feeling well get there and itl be called off for frost.
-
I agree that every player played out of their skin that day. Eardley was one of a very few who just played a normal game at a very high standard rather than running themselves into the ground, throwing bodies in the way etc.
id argue another player that played like that was kalala.
maybe if we send the scouts the dvd of that performance, theyl forget about tayls hughes and eardley, and stick a bid in for kalalala
things you never thought you'd hear at Latics
