It doesn’t really matter anyway if we can’t win games. 

Awful game of football. It’s one of ‘those’ games so far where so many of them look well off the pace. 
 

They’re employing the most effective tactic against us - swarm us when we have the ball in midfield. 
 

They need geeing up at half time and to come out more up for it. All to play for…

Nothing to fear from the Halifax game other than maybe the pitch. They were gifted goals and chesterfield also missed some good chances. Very flattering scoreline.

We've been drawing too much. We've only lost 1 of the last 4, like Altrincham and Aldershot (who are 1st and 2nd in the 4 game form table), but they both won the other 3 and we drew ours. We need to start winning soon to get back in it. What has helped Altrincham is the 3 games they won were against teams at the bottom end of that form table and their only loss was against Woking who are 5th in that table.

Our next 4 games are against Dagenham (8th), Fylde (16th), Altrincham (1st) and Rochdale (10th). Only Altrincham have something to play for out of that lot unless Fylde get dragged down so we should capable of getting 3 wins out of this little run.

It looked soft as anything. And you’re right about Norwood in injury time too. He’s miles on. I think I heard it said the flag was already up so I’m glad Hogan got in the way as that would have been infuriating to see a goal ruled out in those circumstances.

So true. It’s an amazing piece of work really, that character must be 30 years old and the premise is pretty much the same but Coogan has written it so well it’s still funny and relevant now even with a pretty large volume of work. And the old stuff stands up still today too.

At the time I wondered if the players had been told not to do anything that might lead to it kicking off. Then I remembered Norwood stood staring at them for ages after the penalty so maybe not

Does every fanbase make such an effort to dislike it’s own players so much or is it just us?

I find it a bit amusing that fans booing players on or jeering players numbers going up is ok but a player shouting at his teammate is not being supportive.

They’ll be down by then and it’ll be their last home game at this level against a former premier league team with a full away end with a lot of our fans expecting to see a 5-0 thrashing. Textbook definition of banana skin!

Halifax 2 up at Oxford so a win looking likely for them today.
 

I think Barnet, Bromley and probably Solihull are safe for the play offs. Which would leave 3 spots for Aldershot, Altrincham, Gateshead, Oldham and Halifax to fight over who are separated by just 4 points. Will be tight!

This is why we can’t have nice things. Almost since he arrived Norwood has had digs from the fans about such silly things like not smiling or not changing his Twitter picture. Or even that he doesn’t put enough effort in?!

Hes a consistent scorer and a big game player. He’s playing lower than he should be. He might cut a frustrated figure but I don’t blame him, we’re not performing as we should often enough. I know who I’d want in the team in a play off final or if we’re trying to win the league next season. 
 

I like Fondop, don’t get me wrong I think he’s an important squad member, but what is his hero status based on? He rarely scores against the better teams. It looks like it’s because of the effort he puts in but also mainly because he’s great at geeing up the fans with fist bump celebrations. 
 

Norwood is a nasty bastard but he’s a winner and we need more of that attitude. 

The ref was shocking. The Garner booking was a joke when you look at the fouls he never carded. And the shove on Norwood at the end was clear as day. We should have had a chance to win it there. 
 

No idea about their pen as someone must have kicked the plug out for 10 minutes. For balance, I also thought Gardner looked a mile offside for his goal but not seen anyone else say that so maybe just me!
