  1. 6 months loan deal hopefully it will be on our site soon!
  2. I wouldn't say how I know and put it on here if it wasn't true. I have even wished him luck I think he may have said if it wasn't going to happen.
  3. He didnt say how long it was tbh but we will know in morning
  4. He's had his fair share of interest from championship clubs in the past mainly when he was at bury and I think he won player of the season there a few timea he has been at bigger clubs everton West brom etc its just down to playing time really. I am pleased with this signing though I am confident he will do a decent job for us just hope our pal lets him play sunday.
  5. Actually my school was the feature of dispatches once it was that bad lol you have me all wrong but I get your point! Lol Signing tomorrow just seeing if he can play sunday as I dont think hes played in the cup yet.
  6. His sister was in my class in high school and hes on his way happy with that one.
  7. Can't fault the lad, in a bigger shop window and all that and good luck to him. That said its not the sort of attention I would want being lj atm the more pessimistic of fan would feel it leaves a bitter taste and sit a little uncomfortably.
  8. In summary then standing is a good idea at latics? Lol
  9. Rummy You decide what I meant and run with it! You tell me what you would like me to think say and type and best to conform to your site, I will tell you something though it would make for a very boring read.
  10. I think people know the answer to their own questions now and I am treating them as hypothetical now, if they believe I am of the opinion that people with less cash are all bad then they have missed my point completely . Increasing ticket prices has been a step used in other countries to cut out hooligan elements and has played a huge part in cutting out the issue in this country that is a fact. The make up of people paying to watch games now has changed that is also a fact. The make up of people attending games is now more to my liking a fact and my own right to formulate a personal choice surely?
  11. I dont really have anything else to add to this now I feel I have described the term lesser desirables in the context it was meant and explained why I like the current make up of people attending games. Its safer and we can take family I fail to see why its invoked such a negative response clearly I didn't clarify my intent in my intial post but have done since.
  12. Its a risk I know, but the town of oldham doesn't support the club in numbers so we should be ok! ......joke.
  13. I would 100% back a £10 kids st promotion again if purchased with a full paying adult ticket etc to help families financially I am all for that. Your right in what your saying also we couldn't drastically reduce our costs anyway so my previous 'unpopular' concerns would never play out anyway. Win games week in week out fans return!
  14. I dont mean to offend but the point of this board is that people can discuss their opinions and not everyone will share the same view. I genuinely apologise if I have offended anyone but I stick by what my intent was and I am happy that football has moved away from the image of years gone by and the one benfit of increased prices is that there is an increased family feel about the occassion and certain people are priced out.
  15. Lesser desirables I refer to that have been priced out of football to some extent were some of the people intent on getting drunk and causing trouble. I am happy with the current structure at boundary park and feel free and at ease to take family of all ages and like the fact we can take children and wives. The point in my post was that if the price was lowered significantly and terrace stands introduced that may change that. Granted it is all hypothetical as its not been introduced but that was the main point. If you are offended by my suggestion I am sorry but its my opinion.
  16. Read my initial post again because I think it has been taken out of context now and its getting tedious. Football has priced a certain element out of the game and that's what I refer to its a fact thats known not just at Oldham. As for studies about the poor being more violent, wasn't really specifically my point and we are digressing a little but....really we need a study for that??? Lmao This is called the study of life! Live in moss side or chelsea where would you feel safest? Just answering your question not related to my point. As for any of the other terms you have decided to invent smelly ugly etc I know from personal experience of being no oil painting this isn't the case I managed a fair few games lol
  17. No i am no better than folk on here at all i ceftainly dont think i am its not what my point is. Its my opinion about pricing and what has happened as a result in the past. I have read everyones take on it and if I dont agree I dont reply. I dont resort to insults, that I am better than!
  18. Not saying season tickets should be or will be cheaper I am just commenting on the type of people we attract when it is cheaper and i said if the ten pound st is anything to go by then we know what could happen. Obviously there has to be some price difference between seats and standing and I think that football at our level isn't to badly priced overall.
  19. I believe that football has priced some elements out of the game and we are better for it. Look what happened when we had £10 season tickets we had things on the web site to ask fans not to set fire to peoples hair!! Lol Standing is a good idea I am just saying the way oldham is these days if we lower the price to much we would attract the idiots or the Jeremy Kyle guests of tomorrow! Students get student cards and cheaper tickets by all means its unfortunate that my 'generalisation' has been proven by past promotions and life itself, it is what it is.
  20. I just don't think it would work unless we had the rail seat number system as compulsory. That said imagine running late and having to find your 'place' in the stand when its full? My other worry is that I like how football has priced a certain element out of the game and its more enjoyable to take family to now. I worry that standing would lower prices and welcome back some of the lesser desirables and bring back some of the less welcome traits of yester year. That said I enjoy standing but would rather keep the prices in line with current trends if it meant keeping the scroats out of football. I just think places like Oldham could do without too many £10 season ticket folk coming on matchdays and be more hassle than its worth.
  21. Opinions4u,........You too!!! Block 124 row 8! lol 9 of us together and to be honest I am not looking forward to sitting next to some of them and they would say the same about me no leg room or space on our row lol
  22. Happy we didn't lose but really we should be beating teams like that, they were awful and there for the taking. The fact they were once a big club and we were away doesn't automatically mean we should be grateful with a point. I prefer to watch the game and judge after what I have seen if we should be grateful or not and I believe it was two points lost having looked at both teams. We didn't start the second half at all for the first ten minutes and we have to keep fighting for that second goal. Should we have got that I believe they would have melted completely their front two were shocking and didn't create much it was only baxter that looked like scoring at all. The table is worrying we need to get a win before Liverpool Game desperately.
