I would love to be the PA announcer got loads of experience of public speaking, primetime tv work the lot but I wouldn't trust myself with not coming out with digs against the opposition team or fans. It makes me laugh when we welcome the opposition players and staff I would feel like asking them if they wouldnt mind bringing some fans with them next time or providing a coach service instead of skate board for travelling fan (mk mongs, leyton Orient). I would be on the pitch before kick off 'smithy' style getting the lads up for it!

This ground is great! As an Ashtonian I have been here numerous times both to watch Curzon and at various functions. The Bar & Bar staff in the mainstand are great you can walk around the ground when in etc and there is an excellent choice of covered standing at one side & seating at the other with uncovered terraces behind the goal. Nearest pub is The March hare on Crowhill road but you are a 10 -15 minute walk from the centre of Ashton along lord Sheldon way & Richmond street and a 10 minute walk from the retail park Ashton moss Tavern, Nandos etc. Plenty of parking at the ground more than ample for this game with loads of street parking across the field which the ground backs onto if needed. If Driving from Oldham go down Ashton road then Taunton road then knowle avenue to the ground rather than the town centre way past ikea sainsburys & M&S etc Traffic is a bit of an arse town centre sometimes especially since the new M&S opened & Ikea.

Barry would have been re-elected at the AGM. My question though is for Barry directly, I appreciate some items may have to be kept in house or may be confidential in nature but any meeting you attend under the role of chairman of the supporters trust resulting in a place on the latics board, therefore representing the fans, you should publish the minutes on the trust website or e-mail them out. I apologise if this already happens and if that is the case you may be able to point me in the right direction? If its not possible to publish what SC says you should be able to demonstrate your involvement to the fans and have a clear auditable chain of communication for all to see?

I would support the prosecution and fine of anyone who entered the pitch during the game. Pass the pictures on name and shame them. I am totally at a loss with some of the youth element at latics this year due to the £10 ST. At times its been more like a baby sitting service for underprivileged poorly behaved children rather than a football club helping its younger fan base enjoy the match.

At first I thought the crowd outside during the game were to frightened to come into the ground because of the rumours flying around before kick off that Neville Neville was in the Robbie the Bobby suit!

Around 500-1000 Latics held a protest outside the ground during the game at the plight of the great British pub! proper mental.

Wasn't happy at all at being subbed and started booting the seats in the dugout and snatching tops etc the usual unhappy sub script really.

Did anyone else notice his reaction after being subbed? I kind of like he has passion and wants too play but could this be LJ's first test in the form of petulant employees showing public disrespect for his authority?

I paid cash on the day but was issued with a ticket on entry. Surely Bury FC only had tickets on the turnstiles that were left from advanced sales thus allowing fans with tickets entry as when the tickets on the turnstiles are gone via cash sales on the day there are no spaces left other than pre sold tickets? I am baffled why fans with tickets didn't get in. In all honesty its a local derby if you leave the pub at 2.50pm did they expect to get in?? I am not blaming the fans but if a pint is more important than entry to the ground then its the start of potential issues. This doesn't excuse fans with tickets not getting in but does anyone know of such people in person or is it one or two then gossip, rather than large numbers of potential issues surrounding contractual obligations of a football club and their ticketing policy?

For those waking up today unsure about going to the game can I just say your club needs you today and we the fans need you too! Its a fair few years since we invaded bury and they moved back the KO time and opened stands for us etc This is our biggest game of the season so far and what a boost it would be for everybody if we took over Gigg lane! C'mon Lads and Lasses OWTB.

Went to the game today and IMO brown is weak. He's like a kid and easily gets pushed around and rarely wins the ball from a shoulder barge or standing challenge he intercepts the odd bad ball but he's weak if somebody runs at him. Grounds defended well and won the ball well in the air today we were battered and did well to get a point.
