  1. A win this evenining could spark a real fight on Saturday ... the apathy around our highest finish in years is all down to those on the pitch. Even last year if we still had 7th to play for the euphoria would have been understandable .. with fingers crossed and all permutations being discussed, like the players the support has all but given up.

  2. I think we create our own issues, I would love to see a back 4 of Kitching Hobson Raglan Sachdev with a midfield three of Conlon Gardner and Hopwood and a front three of Norwood Dallas and Fondop .....  A mix of youth and experience .. leaving a decent bench of Sheron Garner Hogan Hope Walker leaving us options everywhere. ... I know Big Mike is not available but just for a game I would like to see what the shape and passing would be like ......

I expect Norwood to be off in the summer thats why Garner has signed (opinion only)  and of the defenders Id like to see Raglan stay as he is the only ball player in there. Im sure there are reasons why the tem selections appear a little bizzarre at times .... these reasons could quite easily be shared.

  3. For the the first 7 mins Fylde didnt see any of the ball, Hogan slipped presenting them with a chance and they smelled the blood. Our performances seemed to be linked to individual players rather that 'the team' . I looked back at games that we had won (or drawn) and on every occaision both Hogan and Kitching were praised. If these two do not perform the team does not perform. They are both constants in the team, thats the problem we have noone to replace Kitching, we do have players to replace Hogan (but dont). We have 1 right back and dont play him we have one right winger and dont play him. There are 2-3 changes in first team players in almost every line up and never know why ( Raglan, Lundstrum this week). We are narrow and the only option at times is to hoof. On the occasions yesterday when we broke wide there was no player in the middle.

I cant cope with the standard of refereeing, 3 seconds after Hobson was rugby tackled and conlon garotted, Fondop was sent off for playing the ball and having his leg studded.

I really hate this goddamn league

  4. The smaller clubs are treating thier time at Boundary Park as a cup final and constantly raise thier game and use our booing and silence as a weapon. If Kiddermister played like that every week they and those around them would all be in the top half. I dont care about the how or even who we play if we score more than the opposition or at the very least as many as them. I cant fathom though for the life of me why we appear not to be able to pass ot control a football or why we appear so laclustre or is it the runs are made and not seen ? I though Hammond was having a great game and was unlucky to come off before Lundstrom, unfortunately he had the best chance of the half, which if it fell to either Dallas or Garner maybe there wouldnt be a desire for the thread at all !! I dont care about the form table, I care about the table and this is the highest we have been for some time, so for now Im happy.

I said after about 10 games that it appears when Kitching has a bad game .. they all seem to. He has not had a good February at all...... in fact we played better when he was injured/poorly last week.

  5. Someone said we were cursed, I reckon a deal with the devil was made after the inagrual play off defeat by L**ds that enabled the pinch me season(s). Contract was hopefully 30 years from the relegation from the PL  (so its up this year). If a soul is needed to lift it Unsworth said he would do 'anything' for this club and he owes us big time. Oh yes .. the match. We were more shit than Hendon..... I remember back in the day we signed a pacy forward called Wes Wilkinson, I was sold ... he was totally gash.... During the summer we signed King Kurt and I was again sold .... history repeats itself. When Hudson got the nod over Norman I was imitially quite shocked and I admit to being about as wrong as you can be. The games highlight was the Hendon keeper gesturing to the RR end as he was about to take a kick and injuring himself taking it.

  6. That was some night .... Nick Henry scoring the worldie ( My all time favourite player) Stitch with that bullet header and Rhodes with that magnificent save  after Andy Barlow tried to backheel it away. Irwin and Milligan/Henry were unbeatable that night. Got home and watched it again on midweek soccer special. Thats the night we became everyones favourite underdog and the nations second team (Unless you were a red). The real beginning of the pinch me seasons.
