  1. If LJ comments, post Doncaster, are actually the reason for the loss of confidence in the players, then really; someone needs to switch the light off on the way out, because we're done!

I mean, that wasn't a real bollocking was it? It was hardly a Red Nose-esq Hairdrier rant.

He was upset at a poor performance, which dumped us out of a Cup competition in which i'm sure had been targeted to reach the 3rd round minimum in. He called it as most of us saw it to be fair.

If toys have been thrown over that; then - well, my word. The players we have this season aren't what i thought they were in that case.

If they think that was a bollocking, a real bollocking, then they should come to my work and do a weeks work; then see about what a real bollocking feels like. Heck, anyone one of our places of work for that matter.....because LJ post Doncaster comments were not a real bollocking.

That's why i can't believe for one moment that it's that reason alone that is responsible for for the change in attititude across the side.

Something else has had to have gone on, training ground or dressing room wise, it can't be only some mild negativity post-match from their manager. Can it?

    This.

If this IS the reason, then the lot of them can just :censored: right off, get a real job and see long they last seeing their arses at the first bollocking from their team leader.

I really hope it isn't the case.....

  2. The merchandise on offer from Sports Direct is quite simply awful. Cheap, tacky, poorly made tat. It's cringeworthy to see our clubs crest and name put to such appalling quality merch. From the replica shirts to the quilted coats.

Make a simple bar scarf like was available a few years ago, and they'll sell like hot cakes....

  3. The way the incidents in this game have been reported, you'd think it was Galatasaray v Fenerbahce!! I think people need to pull their knickers out of their vaginas....

That said, this was the first time in a long time I saw as many incidents (albeit relatively minor ones) inside a ground as occurred that day. It's also the first time I can ever remember a local derby NOT being all ticket. Coincidence? I think not.

Dale's insistence that their decisions had no impact is laughable and smacks of a 6 year old blustering "IT WASN'T ME!!"

  4. Trouble was bound to result somewhere today -

Any football club the sees the away tickets sell out a month before the fixture and then allows pay on the day for home fans is asking for trouble.

As for the police - yesterday they criticised retailers for the so called black Friday fiasco ,saying they hadn't learnt from last year !!!

When did the police EVER learn from their errors that cause trouble at matches !!!!!!!!!!!!!

THIS. This is the absolute top and bottom of it.

Dale and GMP need to hang their heads - we all saw it coming.

  5. Gash in the 1st, much better 2nd. Dayton is so lightweight and poor it is unbelievable. He can go for me. The whole set up was a mess until half time.

Forte is a different class at this level, the ball he put in for the equaliser was sublime. Nice to see Poleon in his natural position too - he's not a striker.

Thought Etheridge did more right than wrong, but did look a little nervy.

Pens are pens and whilst disappointed, not gonna be too suicidal.

That said - :censored: PNE. And :censored: Grayson. Can't stand them.

    :chubb:

  6. I'm no drum fan per se by any means. However, I think the drum CAN have a positive influence.

Like someone else has already said, the drum didn't dictate the songs yesterday. It actually complemented them when they kicked off.

It also fills a gap when the majority don't sing as always happens in every game.

I think it should be there at Dale.

  7. A combination of the fact it's a topical and interesting (albeit in a distasteful) subject and that our fans representative has had more to say about it than our own club for months!

It's this for me. We rarely get anything out of our very own Sepp Blatter. And when we do, it's about somebody else'e player!!

    The mind :censored:ing boggles....

  8. these things take time to seed. If we play them over a number of seasons then the young uns will take a dislike to them.A lot depends on what era you got Latics deeply imprinted on you. I hate Man City so much yet many of you dont give two figs, which I find puzzling but that's the way these things go. Others a bit younger than me had a thing about Wigan for example - I really couldnt give two hoots either way about them. I find Tranmere and Huddersfield vaguely distasteful but not worth getting worked up over.

We have spent the vast majority of the past 40 odd years at a higher level than Rochdale and they've had their thing with Bury to get on with - but they do call us Biffo's. We cant even be arsed crafting a name for them.

Anyway, Im looking forward to it. I have no animosity whatsoever towards Rochdale and in fact doff my cap to their fans. Still, I'd *love it* if we dicked them at Spotland. Let's have a right royal knees up. Anyone got any Cyril Smith songs?

To the tune of the "Jose Mourinho" song:

"Touched up by Cyril Smith, Touched up by Cyril Smith, Touched up by Cyril Smith, Touched up by Cyril Smith"

    Etc....
