I see your point but your taking posts too literal at the same time. I was commenting on OUR only win not even being something we can get truely excited about! It was abit of a smoke screen!

To have a sucesful season you need a combination of good performances and stealing the games..... With more of a lean towards good perfromances! We played badly in our first game and the Davies pops up and makes it 2-1 and we take the 3 points. The we had a couple of games were we passed it around well but didnt make an implact on the scoreline leading up until saturdays game were we did very very little right at all. The team isnt improving on a weekly basis they are going backwards.

Now you say we cant have it both ways, but we NEED it both ways. We need to be able to nick games and but in performances were we domniate and walk the game. Thats how you get promoted.

Whoever said Carl Serrant was overrated is mad!!!! rarely put a foot wrong for oldham, England U21, signed for newcastle, and then the poor guy had to retire due to injurt.....hardly overated ....more bloody unlucky!

Brizzle Rovers - Should have won - they had 1 shot on target all game, Carlisle - Should have won - we hammered them in the 2nd half, Burnley - Should have won, we score the first goal and it is a different game...

 

For gods sake, stop having utterly unrealistic expectations of what you need to do to win games in this division... we could play a lot worse and have 9 points on the board... look at Carlisle, skanky win against us, and last minute goal on saturday....

 

All we need is a bit of luck... and some confidence... we should ahve beaten both bristol and carlisle, and suddely the world is rosy....

You can have 99% possession, if you dont do anything with it all accounts for nothing. You can have 1% possessionand score and you win the game. Thats football. You have to make it count in this game, and were not making it count. That what it takes to win games!!!!

Really ?? Jury still out for me....... It has the potential of being better but at the moment its not looking good.... There is only Davies who I personally feel has improved the side. The rest are still struggling to seatle in.....

Difference between this season and last is that we deserved to have won the games we lost....this time we didnt deserve much out of the games. Even our win at the start of the season was daylight robbery! It ain looking good....

There is no need to push the panic button JUST yet. At least Shezza has got plenty of options this season to change fings around. When Hughesy and Ricketts get fully fit potentially a lethal strike force, Davies is a class act, plenty of midfielder to chose from (and Macca is back to his best) - just the defence a bit of a worry but Shezza will sort it!

Anything other than 3 points on saturday and ill be pushing it.....

Bar Davies (and maybe Kilkenny), those brought in are no better than what we had last season.

I think Ricketts may well prove to be better...given time....besides that....I have to agree for once!

True in some senses Though those who never attended Burnley will have looked at the scoreline and thought we were garbage/battered. Nothing was further from the truth on tuesday!!..But on a side note....................

He never said we as going to win it or get promoted but he said the sqaud is capabale of promotion and he see us competiting up there........going off currently performances....that dosent look likely...

You dont actually need to go and support the team to know that a 4-1 defeat isnt very good though.....

Our manager thought this team was good enough to win the league......as for storm it.....i dont think anyonw expected that...but a couple of wins would be nice!

There is only Kilkenny and Ricketts out....a team should be able to keep functioning without a few players....

Can't understand whats goin wrong, yes we have injuries but we still have quality players, better than last year and i know the league is stronger this season, but whats going on, we cant seem to play as a side. Defence seems very dodgy and im not convinced by crossley.

I dont think the balance of the side is all that great....and you have to look to the manager in these situations....

Anyone who went to THAT Stoke game knows how many were in there (round and about) from the National Front, and how many (thousand) Latics fans joined in. To say that we don't have racist fans I'm afraid is not correct.

 

I'd say that we have more racist fans than other clubs, and more worrying they are the nasty racists (those that are doing it because they are bad people rather than an ignorance).

 

I'd not say they will jump on Latics players because they are black, but they'll do it a hell of a lot quicker if they are.
