Got all the Politics ones right, I'm glad o say (as a Politics student!) - barely got any of the others!

Disciplinary action seems harsh.

Think the ref was wrong in allowing the goal - the article says that he booked for Unsporting Behavior, so it should be a retake (or even an IDFK to the keeper's team!), surely?

We should make them all wear 3 digit numbers... Means people have to pay more for the shirt numbers --> Profit! ;)

Basically, if you vote for AV, you're voting for a semi-permanent ConDem coalition. If that floats your boat, your answer is yes. If it doesn't, your answer is no.

 

God only knows WTF Ed Miliband is thinking.

Australia (which uses AV) has only ever had 1 hung parliament - we've had several.

Bringing it down to party politics was stupid. We can wave goodbye to any kind of decent system for another 30 years, now.

I have a friend who works with the Ref Assessor from last Saturday.

 

The view on the three big decisions:

 

1. Not a penalty. Ball to hand.

 

2. Sending off. Reckless tackle.

 

3. Feeney's goal should have been allowed. Not offside and no other infringement. Has been put in his report.

Reckless would only be a booking

I've deduced that it's a club online shop - it's on a URL with the same name as the club shop!

From it being on a domain name the same as the club shop, I'd take a wild guess at it being the launch of an online shop.

"Interfering with play" means playing or touching the ball passed or touched by a team-mate

"Interfering with an opponent" means preventing an opponent

from playing or being able to play the ball by clearly obstructing the opponent's line of vision or movements or making a gesture or movement which, in the opinion of the referee, deceives or distracts an opponent

"Gaining an advantage by being in that position" means playing a ball that rebounds to him off a goalpost or the crossbar having been in an offside position or playing a ball that rebounds to him off an opponent having been in an offside position

None of the above, unfortunately, good call by the lino!

Very unlucky, best performance I've seen for several weeks, we just have nothing going for us up front! We can't seem to get a happy middle - we either try to walk it in, or just take pot shots from outside the area. If we had a natural header of the ball, we'd be sorted, IMO!

We sold him arms, THEREFORE we should go in, not despite it!!

As a civilised, developed country, we have a duty to go in and do what the people there can't do for themselves.

Anyone who's moaning because they don't get there normal seat probably sits in the Main Stand!! It's a bit of plastic, get over it FFS!!

Refs achieving excellence like Howard Webb, and going through what Halsey did should be recognised for it, but not to the extent where the commentator is saying their names every 5 minutes! If a ref comes with a reputation, everyone will have a preconceived idea about their ability, and decide that he's had the worst game ever after a throw in at half way that might have possibly taken the slightest deflection, or something.

Honestly, there's nothing more that we hate than being talked about after a match!!

You can't say "it was a penalty but it shouldn't have been" - what a load of rubbish! The defender was recklessly holding the forward, which is a PK and a booking!

Pundits should have to take the Referee's exam before they can pundit, so you don't get the Andy Grays of the world saying things like "Well, the lad didn't deliberately hit the ball with his hand, but he got an advantage, so that should be a free kick", when the Laws say the exact opposite.

I never understand why we don't leave 4 up? The other team would be forced to leave 5 defenders plus the keeper back, take in the one taking the corner, and they've only got 4 in the box, whereas we would have 7!

(Works on Football Manager, anyway!!)

I didn't see a card get shown but the ref definitely motioned for him to go towards the stands.

You can't show cards to anyone that's not a player or a sub.

Brilliant! He get sent off or just walk down the tunnel voluntarily?

 

How the ref didn't book any players after that is beyond me. He obviously couldn't identify anyone but to not have clocked anyone involved was very poor

Because if he'd've started booking, there would have been too many reds to carry on with the game. Excellent refereeing, leave it the the FA Panel. (If he booked anyone, the panel couldn't retrospectively send them off, as well.)

One of the stands' Safety Certificates will run out next season. Can't play with 2 stands.
