The only explanation for not having a right back signed is that he is waiting for the football league transfer window to close so he can take someone who is out of favour.

With the greatest respect we don’t know that. There’s every chance we’re pursuing one or two targets and it’s just taking longer than we’d want with negotiations/agents offering them around before the season starts.

Unsworth would be screwed without money and shown up for the fraud he is

Apart from that you’re a big fan yeah? 😉

To be fair, if you listen to some, that money was spent on rubbish that should’ve been moved on, so something obviously went right in the second half of the season. Let’s see where we are come Christmas.

  2. Bringing in a proper RB will obviously balance out the defence. Hobson is clearly a centre half, but I assume they’re just trying to get minutes under his belt whilst they bring in someone to fill the position. I’d obviously have liked this to have happened already, but things like this don’t always happen quickly, especially with agents involved.

We created chances yesterday, especially first half, and we looked to get the ball in the opposition half as quick as possible, often in wide positions. Green and Ward were kept busy, and Ward likes to cut inside when he can.

Second half Mansfield dictated the play a lot more and we seemed to lose our way a bit, especially in midfield. Nuttall should have easily buried that chance in front of goal. But if you’re booing him or ironically cheering him off you need a brain transplant.

The pitch looks fantastic and the ground is feeling fresher and more modern week after week. It’s weird to see away fans sat in our old seats, but the view from our new seats in the other side of the paddock is superb. Well pleased with them.

When the rugby club move up to BP could their current ground be a suitable venue for a women's team? Who else plays there? Can't see much merit in the short term for a women's team to play at BP where I'd imagine there'd be a very small crowd. Could be wrong of course.

That would be Avro FC’s ground.

I was under the impression there is a Women’s and Girls team but they weren’t officially under the club.

26th April 2014 had a drink with plenty of Luton fans in the Spoons in Manchester who were in party mode going up as Champions from the National League, I was on route to watch us win 1-0 in our last game of the season at league 1 Carlise who had none other than Jordan Pickford in goal, Luton were playing Hyde United away who they would also beat 1-0 to break through the 100 point barrier, it's a funny old game.

I live across the street from a Luton fan who was at that Hyde game. He’s given me many a pep-talk recently about the fortunes of football.

Any other pissed off main stand paddock dwellers on here after struggling to find decent replacement seats following the limited notice from the club about the closure?

I’m in the Paddock towards the Chaddy End and it won’t let me renew. When you look at the seating map when selecting ‘buying new’ the whole block is greyed out.

Hopefully the club will be in contact soon as they haven’t yet.

Don't worry about the league table or how poor the team is or that the manager is almost as bad at bullshitting as he is managing - just join the cult instead and bask in all the AMAZING stuff that's going on off the pitch (so AMAZING nobody can explain what any of it is).

It’s my first day back in work too, but it’ll get better as the week goes on, promise. 👍🏼😉
