Do you mean like the Forums held on 10th August and 9th December?
yes exactly, what is the date of the next one? Should be sooner rather than later.
-
If only something similar was imminent through the club / supporters trust as have occasionally been held in the past. The club needs to connect with the supporters now more than ever.......
-
Does anyone remember that guy who strolled onto the pitch during game V Ipswich? and sat down on the centre spot? Wonder what he might do on Saturday if he is still watching us now?
-
What a pathetic excuse for a football player that man is. No passion, no commitment, no effort and most importantly, no skill.
Despite my overwhelming love of the club for over 40 years now I find myself patronizing this guy everytime the ball and the player come together....it happened 47 times tonight but I only felt daft once, when he knocked in a decent cross in the 17th minute.
-
This next ten days is the most important period in the club's recent history which will ultimately decide our destiny in May.
Tonight proved that beyond all doubt.
Forget Failsworth for the moment.
These guys need to make some seriously important decisions for the good of this AND MY AND YOUR football club.
The next ten days will prove where The TTA's priorities lie.
Do they trust Penny with their money?
Or is Failsworth the priority come what may on the pitch?
We will know on February 1st 2010.

Spot on mate
here here, Penny has allowed us to plunder to new depths I never thought possible.
-
Perhaps recent weather conditions have made the training ground work required to reach full match fitness a little difficult ot achieve?
same for all players, once you've got it you need to maintain it.
-
the only way to get fit is to play f***ing matches!!
theyve been having bleep tests and running now for the past 3 weeks testing out their injured areas so there should be no problems.
The only way to get them fit is to let them run their scks off at full pelt in games, do their jobs and win the games for us by getting us a couple of goals up then take them off after 75mins!!
bloody simple. if they get injured again then so be it, that's life!!
Why can't more people show a more positive attitude like this..its the truth and the club and its supposed allies and supporters should not be 'taken in' by negative journalism and a distinct lack of enthusiasm from Penny and the club.
What has been said in the Chron / club website to inspire people to attend on Wednesday night? This game is MASSIVE!!!
-
id prefer that they missed a couple of games now and gained full fitness for the rest of the season rather than rushing back now and losing them at a crucial point later on when we need all players fit.
Why are they not fit when we were told they were ready for boxing day and involved at Hartlepool and like the rest of the squad have not kicked a ball since? Shouldn't we be told they are chomping at the bit or fired up for Wednesday even though we know it might be only for an hour or so rather than reading more negative spin in the chron?
-
Why not?
Both were expected to be involved on Boxing Day!
Both made an impact at Hartlepool
Both praised at length by Penney concerning their fitness improvements during the last two weeks
Both should not be disadvantaged in terms of match practice compared to the rest of the team, they have ALL had a lengthy break
Both need to start Wednesday, not left on the bench to possibly chase the game again

Heavy Snow Wed 20 Jan
There is a moderate risk of severe weather affecting parts of England, Wales and southwest Scotland on Wednesday.
Outbreaks of rain are expected to turn increasingly to sleet or snow, especially over hills in central parts. There is a risk of significant accumulations, with perhaps locally 10cm leading to some disruption to travel.
Issued at: 1129 Sun 17 Jan
Let's hope Smalley and Colbeck live in 'hills in central parts' and get snowed in whilst everyone else is ok.
-
I think a striker is a must. Need someone else rather than relying on just Pav to get the goals.
Totally agree...and if that means Smalley and Colbeck don't start with Taylor and Parker playing wide then that will do for me.
-
1. Seeing him in KFC Elk Mill With mate or mentor Mark Crossley trying to tuck into a breast which kept missing his mouth.
2. Watching his MOM Performance at Dale V Spireites infront of Tommy and Shez!!
I've seen the best and worst of him....

The forecast for the week preceeding the Stockport game would suggest temperatures close to or slightly above zero by day and well below by night so given the recent historical state of their pitch this game must already be in doubt. The Tranmere game on the following Wednesday will be touch and go as the forecast is for slightly higher temperatures from the Sunday in western parts of the UK. To arrange it so soon we must be desperate for some income but at this stage I would call it 50/50 that it will be on.
-
Crowd? 2,500?
as long as we win?!
-
It will now be on a Tuesday so against a London side should benefit us.
-
OH NO HE ISN'T!!
Just been to a panto!
-
TBA on this one.
We have snow predicted from Tues onwards up here. However, I think your going to be hit far worse than us on the snowy front come Friday. You may not be able to dig youself out to get to the station.
Keep your fingers, toes and other extremities crossed.
-7 forecast for each and every night this week, +1 if we are lucky during the day, even if it doesn't snow again ( which is unlikely and there's still plenty of the stuff lying here in Norden) the game will be called off at 3.00pm Friday. I'm not a pessimist, just a realist who you may have realised by now takes an avid interest in the weather.
-
Make the most of tomorrow 'cause you may not see them again for a while!
-
I wouldnt either.
They dont need volunteers, our injured players can earn some of their wages
By sitting on their arses in the first instance and leaving the Tranmere game alone and then giving their all to get fit for Hartlepool and performing positively.
-
Win our next few games with ease and we'll be on the bounds of the top 6, then we always win the big games so we'll win some more, then with momentum we'll make the top 6. Then being the form team we should cruise the playoffs. No cups or anything to worry about like the FA CUP & JPT, really good planning on DP's mind there. So with a few wins we'll be the leagues form and danger team. We've a team full of battlers who give 100% and will fight to get us promoted as you can tell by the bookings table. We've the best player outside the Prem, tats to come back, one of the greatest strikers in this league Pav to come back, not mentioning holdsworth, jacobson, o'grady, parker and many more to come back, we'll have a strong in depth squad. 4 goals, 2 unbeaten and a big attendance in the lsat game at BP all point to a great run. the bookies are such mugs, ill be getting a big bet on us to get promoted, winning the league i agree will be a bit far fetched, but promotion looks a distinct possiblity.
Yes, I've got an interview on Wednesday 6th January so I sincerely hope so! Please wish me luck. Cheers and merry Christmas to all!
-
I wouldn't.
As much as I enjoy a Christmas game, this one is massive and IMO is well left alone at the moment. Let's not shoot ourselves in the foot. It goes without saying we need our stronger players available for as many games as possible from here on in. With the Swindon game off, a bare patch is just what we need.
-
is that the second time he has failed to start the second half?
Says it all really.
