  1. The concern about renewing my season ticket is a fear of yet again more insipid home performances orchestrated by managers worried about how to contain the opposition. If yet another coaching manual theorist is appointed I wont be renewing my season ticket, but will attend the early games to see how he goes on. If he produces exhilarating football as displayed by TPs youth team recently I will carry on paying at the gate.

Would you get an ST if Dowie was appointed?

  2. Your post is spot on Midsblue.

If all these possible names for next manager are correct I shall not be renewing my season ticket.

I have supported OAFC for 49 years, have held a season ticket for 30 years, sponsored Mike Milligans kit and Nick Henrys kit, worked UNPAID in my professional capacity for the club and still love the club. However I cannot cope with the emotional upset caused by a club devoid of ambition. Corney should realise that by appointing Dowie the season ticket sale would rise exponentially, giving more income to subsidise the extra Dowie requires. Bigger crowds would make the club more attractive to buy. I am not a fan who moans about SC because his management has ensured we are still a good club ( consider Tranmere and Stockport), however the new stand taps into an optimistic next few years but by appointing an untried manager all could be lost. Dowie exhibits the same love and enthusiasm as we fans feel. He would raise our profile in the media and hence our club "saleability" if that's what Corney wants.

The success of a business is often to invest at the right time and now is that time. If the new manager is a rookie he will either bring some success and be poached or will fail and blow away all this new enthusiasm.

I say give Dowie the job for 3 years. Simon please look outside the box and let your heart join the rest of us. If not I and many others will no longer be buying season tickets.

    ^^^ This!

Not sure ST sales would increase exponentially but agree with sentiment of post completely.

If anybody has his email then please email to SC!

  3. Hopefully bob dowie will still look after his brother... What about josh low, Paul Murray, johm Sheridan, lourenco?

Wasn't meant as dig at Dowie as loved that season and would be as thrilled as anyone to have him back.

Of course ultimately Dowie should take most credit, was just making point he was ably assisted by Bob's scouting and Moore's cash; not forgetting Harbin as well.

Although I do recollect Murray was signed by Wadsworth and Sheridan by Ritchie (might be wrong though?)

  4. Been told it's all tied up with Dowie... Deal almost agreed, should be this week.

About to discover the credibility of this source in the next few days it seems...!!

What are people's thoughts if it's true... Would it boost the attendance for Peterborough (if he's unveiled or at the game), or increase the mood over the summer...?

How can it be "all tied up" when deal is only "almost agreed" - do you mean "deal almost all tied up / agreed"?

  5. His tweets do seem to have a similar form to those from Ged Coyne's old account i.e. hash-tags every other word.

Could be someone setting out with intention for people to make the above link but maybe not.

If it is him then what he says is worrying as he will still have the ear of many of the players.
