  1. A couple of posters say it's Preston with an air of authority...does it say this in the Advertiser or is it just your opinion (or you've heard it elsewhere?)

The only place I've seen it is on this forum.

Little fact...PNE are over £40M in debt.Another point...Koukash said he was going to bring back figures from when the club was big....who?Tom Finney?

MK comments make out he is mid-negotiation with the mystery club, and a deal is imminent; yet SC stated he met MK weeks ago and has heard nothing since so I'd say MK wasn't keen and took his interest elsewhere unfortunately.

  2. They had a part to play by mismanaging the second most important financial centre in the world. However more significantly, when the global recession hit Brown had spent all the money and already put us into a spiral of debt, ensuring we were hit much harder than many other countries. He then compounded that by paying ridiculously over the odds to buy out the banks. If he had somehow won the 2010 election and continued to throw good money after bad we'd now be queuing up with Greece and Cyprus begging the EU for a bail out.

Labour bankrupted the country in the 70s, the 2010 election just about stopped them from doing it again. They must never be allowed a third chance.

Might want to read "Freeing Britain to Compete", a paper commissioned by the then shadow cabinet in 2007, which criticised Labour's over regulation of financial institutions.

Not complaining as such. Just saying that New Labour wasn't really Labour. If it had been, then maybe some of the renationalisation previously mentioned might have happened (and we'd probably be in an even bigger mess than the one Blair and Brown left us in...).

Ah the mess Blair and Brown left us in.

Must have had some influence those chaps to not just bring down little old UK but also pretty much every developed economy on the planet.

Someone on twitter asked Ian cheeseman from bbc radio manchester about dowie taking over . This was his reply

@IanCheeseman: @Greatest_786 I wonder if ownership issues are the priority at the moment?

I asked Mike keegan if this had any truth , this is his reply

@MENOAFC: @davidhughes71 Plenty of talk of it. Radio Manc have decent Bolton connections - read into that what you will...

    Could be your right !

What have Bolton got to do with our ownership situation?

  5. I think a refreshed and hungry Dowie, who now knows he doesn't walk on water after a couple of humbling experiences could turn out to be a major asset for us.

Many from the outside have described him as 'untouchable' and I very much doubt he has been approached for a managers role since Newcastle.

We are the only club he'd be slightly interested in where vast majority of fans would approve of giving him a chance to get back in.

We need him, and if he has any ambition to repair his severely damaged reputation then he needs us.

We should pull out every stop to get him back.
