thanks for this i was thinking of ordering a taxi to pick us up from euston just thinking if anyone knows  a reliable taxi firm would it be better like you said to get to vauxhall then get a taxi

If you want to use a taxi, set the pick up destination as per 24s but use Addison Lee. They're some way between Uber & Taxi in terms of cost but super reliable, can be booked in advance & will do it as a fixed fare. They should get you across London at 11am on a Sunday morning in under an hour.

Alternatively, try and get he 1122 from Vauxhall and if you miss it, get a cab from there. That will mean you skip the heavy traffic parts

  2. Eh Up, I can't make Shrewsbury this weekend, which is a massive pain in the @rse as I've not been to new Gay Meadow and this is the 1st time in yonks it's been on a Sat'day.

Anyhow, I've cheered me-self up by finding another 6 point relegation dog fight to go to instead. Anyone else up f'rit?

    Have booked me-self on't following trains;

    OUT 10:26 ARR 12:27

    RTN 18:41 ARR 20:20

Not me but hoping to be at Swindon

  3.

...How does that differ from an average Saturday for you?

Have they got Uber out there? Worked a treat at Millwall didn't it?

    Uber exists in Oxford...

It's very tempting to spend the £25 entry on 2/3 pints of local craft ale.

  4. The coach back to London, which runs through the centre of town (train station is a bit out) runs all night back to Victoria...

    The Oxford Tube...

I'm asking a few friends who studied there for pub suggestions. I've got a very very long list. Going to be a long fun day

  5. Roughly one OASIS fixture a month, with a desert in November and a glut in April, with the usual proviso that we need a team and a manager and so on.

    6 August - Millwall - definite yes.

27 September - Charlton - probably be on holiday in Europe, although we're waiting to see whether our economy goes into meltdown on Friday.

    8 October - Gillingham - definite yes.

    10 December - Oxford - definite yes.

7 January - Mongs - definite yes. (Likely to be an I-was-there occasion in the wrong way.)

    18 February - Swindon - definite yes.

Tue 28 Northampton - questionable because it's on Tuesday night.

    18 March - Peterborough - definite yes.

    1 April - Southend - definite yes.

17 April - Bristol Rovers - definite yes.

30 April - AFC Mongs - definite yes.

I can't make Millwall. Northampton on a Tuesday is miserable

That means I still get to 9/11. I'll get my flag ordered. Does anyone have a spare?

  6. Avoidance of Tuesday games permitting I will likely do Charlton (I can literally see the Valley from where I am sat right now), Millwall, Oxford and AFC. I will be tempted by Bristol and Southend or if we somehow end up with one last day of the season (relegation party will be back in full swing by then!)

Behave yourself. Tuesday games permitting, we should all be aiming to get to 9/10 of those 11. And you MUST go to Gillingham.

If you don't you won't be able to start your own songs or fly a flag. All other commitments should be secondary...

  7. If there's a legitimate reason I will venture far and wide (see: This Friday!) but I will always object to the casual north-easterly drift you apply to location selection!

As it stands, let me know which of those two work best and I will see you there at about 12:40

Only because you like to employ a westerly drift ;)

I'll call the Angel today and see if they're showing it. If they are, let's go there. Otherwise, let's go to Mabel's Tavern

  8. It certainly is and would be a preferred destination but I didn't want the flack from Ackey. You know. It's a little far 'north' and 'east' for him. Good boozer though and they normally stick it on upstairs if you ask nicely with sound and everything

Or Mabel's Tavern have already told me it will be on with sound

  9. Not one for me to get involved in, but is The Angel still going in Old Street? Back in the day it always used to be a good OASIS meet-up place for when Latics were on the tele..

  10. White Horse in Soho might be showing it. Mabel's Tavern up near Euston (a shepherds neame pub) definitely is

Or we could give cafe kick in exmouth market or bar kick a go in shoreditch?

  11. Ahhh! My fault, and great news! Yes, let's find somewhere nice® then - Sports Cafe is indeed a :censored: tip.

And just because it's 12:30 does not mean you can rock up at 12:29 assuming I will have got a table!

You shouldnt have mentioned the ACTUAL time then should you... And it's customary to arrive 5 mins after kick off and stand in front of people who are sat down. We should have a beer somewhere that's not showing the football beforehand to make it feel like we're actually there...
