I might have to sit this one out too. Too much work on and its England v Australia in the (actual) rugby World Cup that evening
-
Might be up for this too. I mean I probably won't be - it's non league football after all. But both Hampton and Richmond are more appealing than Walsall, Colchester, Gillingham, Southend etc
-
I'd just like to point out I've never been to Dulwich Hamlet.
Me neither....

FIFY
I see what you did there. Subtly changing ownership of the flag from Neil to Buzz...
-
You've got that the wrong way around sunbeam.... It's not worth having a flag unless you're gonna go!
I can just imagine the conversation now:
Neil: "Hey there Buzz, have you got the flag?"
Buzz: "I thought you had the flag"
Neil: "Don't screw with me Buzz, you told me you had the flag"
Buzz: "No, you said you had it. I'm sure. If only CCTV had been invented before we tried to get to the moon. That'd show you"
Neil: "Buzz, I hate to tell you this, but we're gonna have to turn back"
Buzz: "But we;ve just burned through the Earth's atmosphere. Turning back now would be too dangerous"
Neil: "I don't care Buzz. I've been keeping that flag safe all my life. Everyone telling me It's not worth having a flag, unless you're gonna go. Well Buzz we're going and I damned if I'm getting there without my flag!"
Buzz: "Roger that"...
....
....
*Upon re-entering the Earth's atmosphere*
Buzz: "Neil? What if we get back and markoasis has taken the flag to Dulwich?"

GIMME THE FLAG!!!!!!

I'm will be at twickenham to watch Italy v France in the World Cup. Does anyone have a flag that will be relevant? If you do, can I buy it/borrow it/somehow use it? If I can't, what's the point in you having it?Gents/Ladies.
It was a good day out this was last year..... nice'n'easy journey from Kings X..... some pubs in town walking distance from the station.... and a bus to/from the Keepmoat, where there's a supporters bar that accepts away fans.
Train options to/from Kings Cross;
OUT 10:48 ARR 12:14 JOURNEY 1:26
OUT 11:03 ARR 12:50 JOURNEY 1:47
OUT 11:30 ARR 13:09 JOURNEY 1:39
OUT 11:35 ARR 13:12 JOURNEY 1:37
RTN 17:55 ARR 19:42 JOURNEY 1:49
RTN 18:39 ARR 20:28 JOURNEY 1:49
RTN 18:55 ARR 20:46 JOURNEY 1:51
RTN 19:29 ARR 21:20 JOURNEY 1:41
As it stands today, you can secure train tickets there and back for £36 all in.

After last Saturday's schoolboy no-show from yours truly...who's up for Colchester a week on Tuesday?
There's a spare couple of seats in the cramped rollerskate if the train's unfeasible. Don't all rush at once.
Not working too far from Liverpool St, I might give this one a go. I think the 1810 out is a quick train. There are three issues:
- The 2230 is the only train back and any delays will mean the tube is shut
- They are peak trains so it's over £30 return
- To quote Zorro "It's in Colchester"
I may also drive...
-
rSame as usual.
There's no way this is going to happen. unless 24hrs helps during his long holiday
-
Come on. Let's get this :censored: sorted.
Who's interested?
So far:
Me ©
Ackey
Alex (latic12345)
PC Dickhead (kentlats)
Paul (Slash)
Aidan
Dulwich Mark
Mr 24hrs? Are you interested in turning out in net?
If there is enough genuine interest we can look at venues and all that :censored:.
I can probably organise myself to get to any - late
With that in mind what happens about kick off? Do we all have to turn around or storm onto the pitch 3 mins in?
-
If only he could discover another Fitz Hall
What a young player who we pick up on the cheap, plays for a season and then moves on for less than £300k? Most people are up in arms when that happens!
-
I scoffed at the idea of going up for the last game, especially as it's the weekend before I fly out to get shackled.
Then I started getting a bit misty-eyed and thought, ":censored: it, I can probably swing it (and by that I mean 12 months of frosty looks)".
Then I checked this morning and it's on a :censored:ing Sunday at 12:15. WTAF?!
I'm hoping to go. Travelling up saturday though

What's that, Rule 7. Thou shall not debate intellectual topics?
No. Rule 7 is DONT DRINK BLUE LAGER
-
....booked on the 12:02 out.... Although will meet it at Clap Junc at 12:08 and the 18:29 back. We can always head to club bar on arrival instead of the New Moon.... But as LL says, it's a Bank Holiday, not a Sat'day....!
Have you also ordered you BLUE Italian BOTTLED lager through click & collect? Don't want to miss out!

What bugs me is when the big game charlies rock up when they're nowhere to be seen against VCD Athletic. 'Kin part-timers.
They're the kind of people who get tickets for Anfield before they're even available to ST holders. Big time charlies.
I can't stand those guys

Funny how the Sancerre-swilling Tuscans turn into salt-of-the-earth working class types as soon as the superior form of rugby is mentioned. Bellends.
Everyones allowed a little juxtaposition. I think we should let them. They're wrong but let them. They're missing out

... just don't forget to check your copy of Thatchers biography in at the gate
According to this link
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dulwich
Thatcher once bought a house in a gated community in Dulwich. What does that mean for 24hrs?
I'll bring a book about Frederich Engels instead...

Consider it done. We might have to have LP streaming so we can follow the wife's relegation dogfight while sipping quality wines and munching crudités.
Excellent news. Do we have to have LP on though?
-
It's the big one...the one where we get to buy tickets for the Maidstone brouhaha on 18 April.
I'll be there from about 1.30 but have to take it easy because it really is my wedding anniversary and I really do have to take Mrs 24 out somewhere nice afterwards.
If anyone can't make it but would like a ticket for Maidstone, let us know.
Reckon I'm in for this. I think we all need some light hearted football fun at the moment!
-
I feel like the only suitable actions will be for everyone get smashed on magic coke and never come back from half time...
It would have to be magic Sainsburys Taste The Difference Orange Juice to celebrate two of LL's finest hours
-
My last game as a member will be Crawley. Not sure what the opposite of the initiation ceremony is and I can't say I'm looking forward to finding out.
I might bring you a cheap bottle of terrible red wine at 10am just for old times sake... and then miss the train of course
-
Sometimes Ryan you can't reason with people. Some of those people played British bulldog in their playground. They now enjoy watching 6ft 5inch men playing the same game. All 26 of whom know in their heart of hearts, they'd rather be playing a different sport

Nice one. Mine's a Blue Moon.
First you were a Liverpool fan, then you "didnt mind United" and now City. What is this?
