I'm sure I saw him at the next home match with his arm in a sling
yeah but there was nowt wrong with him.....

Who were you?
The game: Port Vale or someone like that at home. 2003.
The place: Lookers Paddock.
The injury: Broken collar bone after toppling over trying to pick the ball up as it rested against the advertising board, causing the entire Lookers stand, players nearby and half the Chaddy to break out into spontanious fits of laughter. Then having the shame of being walked down the entire length of the touchline by the St. Johns Ambulance crew.
I salute you!
THE LAD IS CALLED MATT POVAH
there was nothing wrong with him he said he felt like a KNOB so he just faked an injury
saw it myself... laughed even more when i noticed who it was

think ive got abit of chinese whispers coming my way but why are the muslims having this march?????
-
Can't wait for it, most i've looked forward to a game in ages, cracking ground (by our standards) biggish club, decent trip out, massive underdogs, don't know about anyone else, but feels rather like an FA Cup day out. Fancied us to do well, was thinking of a 3 figure sum on us to win @ 5/1 as well, however as a big believer in tradition and records our record down there has put me off no end! No win in our history, no win in 21, no matter how blinded up on optimism i am, i can't back us after reading that.
In reference to your post Prozac, i don't know what exactly your on about, i presume the second part is connected to perhaps aggro/partying of the rugby, and the first part is some kind of protest? Depends if you feel up to it, last thing you need is aload of hassle and grief, hope you've felt better this week though.
Muslim march mate.....
and thats what i was getting at the other day, thats why i thought there would of been pushing 1000 instead of around 300/400 going... pi** poor support but then again 400 pi**** up fans, and heard alot about the away trips this year... think were on for a good day out!!!!! CANT WAIT

my 1st game at BP either was newcastle when any cole and peter beardsley ran the show, or liverpool at home when they were kicking the ball at the score board, which one was 1st??? god knows long time ago

Well as the other games in London have numbered in the 100's I strongly suspect that will easily be enough.
Plus it's £25 a shot.
The only thing that I can think that'll make it higher will be that it's a new ground for many.
as many away games are limited for me this season due to two kids and most of the games in the south ive picked this one out to be one of the few along with norwich & southampton, and ive not been there yet, obvious one leeds hudds trannies are the ones im going to
i thought most would of done that.....

As the wife says I've had a TIA or mini-stroke (only thing I've ever had in moderation!) Compared to Wednesday night when the whole of my left-side was numb I am feeling a helluva lot better. My face is still numb and I have a bit of a limp, whilst feeling very tired. I was lucky I reckon, it could have been a helluva lot worse.
I have to go back to the hospital for a doppler in my neck and a C.T. scan on my brain in due course. I've been advised to rest-up for at least a week and abstain from drinking (fookin' boo!) for at least that time. At 32 it really hits home that you need to start looking after yourself!
Depending on how I feel I might well make the game tomorrow but we'll see and Mrs. P might have summat to say about that!
Thanks again for the kind wishes - speak to some of you soon!
Paul
