  1. If you think Grounds is a better full back than Mills then you're watching the game wrong.

Funny you say that as I had non Oldham supporting mates round to watch Preston and they were like who's this Mills fella he's garbage, and then as the game progressed he improved dramatically.

Yeah I do think Grounds is better at FB than Mills, as I don't think Mills is a full back, he'd be better as a wing back or Left Winger, it's his attacking attributes that everyone is creaming over, he's not done anything special in defence.

And that's been confirmed to be just now as I asked a Burnley supporting colleague about Mills without offering any opnion of my own, and he said he's alright but he needs to be played left wing as when he played in the Championship, most clubs exploited his defensive inadequacies.

I reckon if we played him Left Wing and Grounds Left Back we'd have a lot of joy down that flank.

  2.

I can see how he could be as he has a low centre of gravity and quick feet, but if you saw some of his wayward passes last night including a suicidal back pass you might think otherwise.

True, I'm purely basing my opinion of the 3 or 4 sub appearances he has made. Maybe Wes will get the nod, another brace like he scored in the 3-3 would go down well.

  3. Rodgers is very good at looking after the ball, which is why I think i'd give him the nod Monday, Korey Smith can break up play etc.

It's a big pitch PNE so the pace of our counter attacks could bring us much joy.

Jonson Clarke-Harris to come on and batter them for the last 20.

Got a good feeling about this game.

  4. It was evidently a flat peformance from the lads on Saturday, we never looked like overloading the box, getting on the end of crosses, those that beat the first man.

I've come to an early conclusion that the way the team is set up, we will benefit a great deal more from playing away from home, ie PNE, where they will come at us and have a go and we can attack on the break.

Out of all the home fixtures, the one we won was against a team who came to have a go, but most teams will sit back like Tranmere did, maybe a change of tactics is in order for the home fixtures?

Definitely backing hepingping because he knows why and where we went wrong, hopefully he'll do something about it.

3 away games coming up, a morale boosting win at Shrewsbury will set us up nicely for PNE.

As I suspected, I think we'll have a great deal of success on the road, needs changing for the home fixtures from what i've seen so far...

  6. IF IF IF IF IF IF IF IF

Although as someone said, our team is better than Yeovil's, man even Walsall and Orient finished 8th and 9th, while the Tramps had a flirt with promotion, they went 5 points clear after beating us at BP, our current team is better than all the above, just need some consistency.

Personally, i'd be delighted if every week, I read the Sunday paper and get a little bit excited that when I read the table, we're hovering around 8th and 9th, then one week 5th, and then 7th, you get my drift??? bit of excitement...

  7.

IMO he's a good player, very quick to close down opponents and distributes the ball well.

Incidentally, I said if Latics signed him I'd donate £50 to playershare. I must stop this scouting lark.

BTW, it would not surprise me if he started at right back on Saturday,

Had the same thought myself, not like he hasn't been round the squad for 2 weeks, give him a go I say, gotta be better than Clifford out there...

  8. Surely a topic entitled 'Lanzoni' is more relevant than 'Trialist centre back still at club' which offers no clue as to the bloke signing...just saying.

Through topics posted, videos uploaded and banter shared, to be spoke to like that is upsetting.

Well you can go :censored: yourselves, I won't be posting anymore.

Please don't go Alex, I like reading your posts...

He'll be baxck next week after we beat Tranmere, don't give him the attention he craves...
