Hiya Chikin, soon as Greg was marched the whole of the team, management included raised thier game 10%, hearts on sleeve, backs to the wall, etc, now if we did that every game we would be talkin auto now, lets learn from it and the season starts here.

The other day I offered to miss the Northampton game so that me and the good lady wife can spend valentine's together and go out for lunch and a walk and whatever. I fully expected her to say 'don't worry about it, we'll go out in the evening instead', whilst proving to her that she was more important than the latics. To my total dismay, she thought it was a great idea. To make things worse, I found out yesterday that the Bristol Rovers game has been re-arranged for the 24th, which is our 6 month wedding anniversary and I'd already arranged a meal and whatever.

Anyone else having to miss the game next Saturday because of valentine's? Or am I the only one under the thumb? Shall I put my foot down, go to the game and risk an almight row? Especially if we play like we did in the last home game, maybe I should be grateful for an excuse not to go...

Manager John Sheridan was pleased with his side's effort against Swindon - and hit out at the boo boys.

 

Latics had the majority of the second-half possession but found Swindon keeper Peter Brezovan in inspired form between the sticks.

 

Lee Hughes, Danny Whitaker and Lewis Alessandra were all denied - the former on several occasions - as Danny Wilson's scrappers held out for a 0-0 draw and a point.

 

"I thought we deserved to win the game," said Sheridan, whose side will be in action again on Tuesday against Bristol Rovers.

People seem to forget how close we were to going under just afew years ago, people should proud n happy to be where were at now! We had no players hardly, a team made up of non contract players n youth players, who remembers sheff wed away 2-2 draw, how proud did it make u feel at sheff wed singer ur heart out, but we got through all that. We could be in the conference now or not even here. Get behind the team!!!
