  1. My mate whose a County fan reaconed he was poor last night, but unlike a number of short-sighted supporters he didnt blame him for the defeat, sounded to me like County being the Division above didnt expect Gillingham to be as up for it as they were.

But for the final time this vendetta against Craig Davies has got to stop, though I admit he's not always on-song for us but he's a player for Oldham Athletic Football club and you people are (althought I sometimes wonder) a Supporter for Oldham Athletic and last night he didnt even pull a shirt on and your there with your knives out, he's not leaving us, your wishes havent been granted, get over it and get behind all of our players equally, yes he was a dick at Rochdale but like Lee Hughes he's served his punishment and therefore he is NOT the reason why we lost at Stockport, he is NOT the reason why conceeded 3 goals in 10 minutes at Hartlepool and he is NOT the reason we finnished 8th last season

thankyou for making my day fent =D

  2. can we sing "Oh when the Blues...." propperly? In recent times they've just cut out the slow bit and gone straight into the fast bit like on Saturday which means we go through it in about 10 seconds and everyone gets bored and we start with something else, owtb is a unique chant and it annoys the crap out of opposition fans, we're in fear of killing it off if start singing it too fast

    i really agree

  3. I don't want to appear to be a grumpy old bastard (actually I dont give a :censored: as thats what I am).

But it is really annoying when people wander in at five past three so pissed they can barely stand, then disrupt everyone because they dont know were they are supposed to be sat.

They finally struggle to there seat and then not content with this have to go for a piss every 10 minutes because they have a bladder the size of an acorn and have still seen fit to neck about 5 pints in the half hour before the game.

    :rant.sml:

i cant say i was drunk when i walked to find my seat and i was helping my mate to do his flag and i really cant understand how this is annoying to you, it has never annoyed me... chill out

  4. i was really unhappy at the match yesterday, i was walking to find my seat and some woman shouted for me to sit down  to be true i should have been more constructive with my response and i apologised for this but it really annoyed me... fans and stewards telling me to sit down when i am at my seat is something i find annoying but really... someone shouting at me whilst i am walking to find my seat at the start of the match is pathetic...

  5. Anyone think this is kinda strange? Maybe I'm looking for excuses to criticise his current attitude.

He certainly hasn't looked too happy this season, and shopping at Tesco at that time just seems a little uncaring.

really cant say this is uncaring and that he has a bad current attitude.. sorry this is one of the most unbelievable comments i have read.. i have to ask why he could be seen as uncaring for being in tesco??? craig davies can do whatever he wants, his life doesnt primarily concern latics and he probably wasnt supposed to be with latics at this time... if you reeally think anyone should take your views as fact then please remember the next time you go to tesco before work you obviously dont care about your job and your current attitude is very bad........ seriously some latics fans

  6. all views on this are respectable, because there's many different perspectives to look at the situation from but i have to say mk dons are coca cola league 2 and johnstones paint trophy holders so they have been successfull so they shouldnt have to take too much criticism

  7. oh come off it no-one deserves what has happened to City this week, as LL said, City fans seem to get the whole impression that their fans are superior, because they got 30,000 in the 2nd Division. What they fail to mention is that the only games they got 30,000 in were against us, Preston, Burnley, Blackpool and Wigan who incidently brought away followings of around 3-4000 people and the rest of the season they averaged nearer to 25,000, the same as Leeds last season and Sheff Wednesday the season they got promoted. That comment really takes the biscuit if you are a folower of a lower league club which I assume you are, they have been playing Premiership football now for over 5 seasons solid, in that time they have appeared in Europe, seen their side appear against some of the best players in the world and got millions and millions of pound in TV money whereas the rest of us outside the greedy league are doing all we can to keep our heads above water. Yet they still seem to think that they are all so 'hard done by'

    fair dos

  8. Ever since I can remember, it's felt like we've had a curse. But now with recent developments please God, please let this be our much needed break. For way too long we have been the brunt of football jokes.... and now finally it looks like luck might be turning... surely our fellow clubs can't begrudge us this after all we've been through?

That comment just makes me want City to fail

    why?

  9. How can you rate JJ's passing? Do you want to know how I rate Stephen Hawking's Irish dancing skills, or the odds I would give on the last unicorn I saw being ridden by a leprechaun winning the Grand National?

haha.. i dont think there is a problem with jjs passing.. maybe he is sometimes too quick for his team and so they cannot meet his passes? .. also he has the ability to beat defenders, creating time and space fo him to deliver a pass or to shoot.. tho i have to admit it is mostly neccesary for jj to have time and space to shoot correctly.. this is one of the weaker aspects of his game

  10. Perhaps we do. But it might be about proportionalities. If Diego Maradona in his prime signed for Oldham in the third division, I would happily play a 7 man midfield and give him free rein to do as he pleased. If, on the other hand, I had a waster like JJ, on the evidence I saw I would drop him and pick a bucket of rotten fish in his place. You are very misguided if you think I don't like attacking players or attacking football - perhaps I do like clever passing in the middle more than speedy wide play, but I like them both - it's just that JJ didn't show enough attacking ability for us across his games to justify his place even if he did his share of the work, never mind getting special allowance to be a lazy :censored:. I'm :censored: at football, but I can put my foot through a ball harder than most. Maybe one in a thousand really work for me, one in one hundred work for him. Give me the ball 1000 times in a season and I might just produce a champagne moment, but I would be frig all use for the rest of it (although I would at least kick people as they passed). Mark Allott would score more than JJ from the same number of wild shots, but instead he passes to a teammate who is involved in a passing move and may have a better chance or be able in turn to pass to someone with a better chance. To me, that is good attacking football.

for me mark allott loses the ball more often than he uses it well and jj can help his team to be in an attacking position more than mark allott.. i dont really think a comparison between yourself and jj is relevant and to "put your foot through the ball harder than most" seems an uneccesary quality.. tho to talk of you or me in this post is useless cause im :censored: at football too... also i am not making a judgement of your footballing ideas.. i dont have enough evidence to do this but i think jj has much to offer a team in an attacking respect.. this is where our opinions clash and neither of us are likely to change our minds i have to say.. for me there is much evidence to suggest jj is a really good player

  11. I would agree with you if JJ showed any end product but all he could do is run with the ball past several players and then waste it. His passing was terrible and his shooting was worse. Therefore his lack of defensive game or general teamwork makes him a liability and generally a crap player.

i really cant say jj is a "crap player".. he plays in a higher league than league 1 so if you believe this you must think all players in league 1 are "crap players" or greater words to this effect.. i think jj offers a team so much through his creativity and we have to remember that not every player is the complete player and so defensive qualities may not be apparent in all players.. i dont share the idea his passing is bad tho i agree his finishing is poor more often than not.. though he scores a really good goal from time to time

  12. Apart from his passing, shooting, tackling and general motivation, JJ is an excellent player

i wouldnt question the general motivation of a player.. also jj plays in the championship.. this would suggest his motivation has led to him furthering his career at a better club than latics.. like i have said i dont think tackling is overly important for a player like jermaine johnson.. i have to say his shooting is not good tho he is a scorer of good goals and i cant find a problem with his passing.. also he can run at players and beat them very well

  13. Goodness. Do you honestly believe that a wide player doesn't have responsibility to go back and at least pressure the other lot when he doesn't have the ball? I don't think many right backs would like having you for a manager. As for heading, erm, what is a wide player meant to do when the ball is wide on the other side? And if you are a wide player who refuses to track back, isn't there a fair chance that the ball is going to come to you via a long hoof as you stand there with your hands on your hips in the far right corner of the field? Controlling it with your head might be the only option, assuming you haven't been too :censored:ing lazy to even be bothered to walk back into an onside position.

if the team was playing in the correct way "a long hoof" wouldn't occur in play.. i havent said that heading and pressuring are irrelevant to this role but i dont think they are the most important attributes required for a player in this position.. perhaps we have different mentalities?
