Why would he not play taylor? Let's not forget dickov has known for ages and started him every game possible. Can't see him dropping him just because we know.

One thing nobody has addressed was Diallo getting killed down the left about 20 times tonight, I was thinking after 15 minutes (he'd already been done about 4 times) we need to change this somehow otherwise that'll undo us, we changed nothing, and come 2nd half it does!!

I'm by no means a Taylor hater, would never boo him or shout abuse.

However to some extent I understand people's frustration. It's not the fact he stopped progressing, he's seemed to go backwards. I dont whether he's lost pace, or maybe he thinks more for the team now. At 18 he'd skip past people with ease without a care in the world. Now he will beat a man maybe once or twice throughout a game. I think he maybe thinks about getting caught out losing the ball and potentially causing a goal down the other end. Personally he's still, in my eyes a good league 1 player, who certainly dusnt deserve the abuse he receives. Why would any latics fan want to single him out for abuse is beyond me? As a boyhood latics fan surely it must hurt him receiving so much :censored: off his own fans? We all know he gives 100% for latics, just as any of us would given the chance.

I really enjoyed that last 10 minutes! We sung our hearts out! Just like the good ol' days!

Haha its not all happy days supporting us, im only joking i think a lot of prem fans dont realise how lucky they have it, i do love the football league game better than the prem, just feels you are more valuable as a fan not just a number amogst 60,000 at the Emirates or a database of 168,000 members that the club currently has

as most arsenal and latics home games have been on alternative weeks, not good for the bank balance but great for me getting to so many games, between the two clubs I have clocked up 29 games this season 17 and 12 Arsenal and thats without the Chelsea games I occasionally go to with old man (4) this year, although i am actually a cockney and now live in Gloucestershire, the joy of meeting a girl abroad from Oldham hey

 

Throw in that im still considering traveling to the Euro's for the knockout round very fortunate oh and I have given money to playershare and pledged to give more dependant on how Kuqi scores come end of the season, i am a very lucky lad

Managed to persuade my missus to buy one for the next two games! Think she'll be alot harder to crack than me mind!

Think on a personal level this has been a success.

For the last two years I stopped buying a ST, started picking and choosing my games due to money and the enjoyment factor. I found myself picking and choosing less and less games until it came to a point this season where I would really only attend with offers, borrowed ST's, or occasional Cat C games.

However I took up the golden ticket, and watched all 3 games so far. This led to me going Rochdale. With performances pretty dire, I dont know how but it's got me hooked again, I shall therefore be attending the remaining home games and most certainly Bury away.

So well done Mr Corney, just goes to show, initiatives like this DO work, if not for everyone but can only gain fans returning.

Re the RRE Rob, I dont think it is. IMO the roof needs redoing, and the facilities just aren't adequate enough for the size of stand. Its needs lots of work before it's "up to it" IMO

Can't speak for the other stands, but the away stand we were in which looked the newest and best to me was a damn sight worse than the rre!

Came out at half time, close to the restart needing a piss. Had to wade my way through queues for food and beer (non of which obstruct you in the rre) only to have to queue to get into a toilet with only one door in and out? After about 5 mins I get in and there's noone actually pissing, the big hold up was people just trying to get out!

I would be in that category, been a member since 07 as I was bluedurrans on the official message board before owtb. But only started coming back on a few week ago.

Doesn't a decent day out involve supporting your team for 90 minutes or is beer 10 minutes before and after after half time with no idea what's going on the pitch in between including losing a goal more important????

Could say the same for.. What's more important watching your team for 90 mins, or ignoring "people like that".

I'm glad it wasn't just me wondering that, after me spending 10 minutes negotiating with the girl in our ticket office 2 weeks ago in order to make sure my seats were top drawer. I can see what's going to happen now, i'll roll up to find my seats taken by some drunken "day tripper's"

I only clicked on this post as I was curious to know who Paul was. I really must congratulate you Prozac, how do you come up with these hilarious nicknames for our players season after season. Last year we had to read post after post about ''Bubba''

 

Yes I can see the resemblance but you do realise that you are the only person who ever used that nickname (side splitting as it was ).

 

Same goes for Paul, the only Paul I can think of is the alien in the movie of the same name. Is that what you're alluding to?

 

Perhaps you could start a new thread titled ''Prozac's really funny nicknames for latics playersand how they earned them'' for those of us who are too thick to get it?

That's unfair on the lad, because of Kuqi's failures we are expecting miracles. Let him start a couple of games and see whether he can seize a PROPER chance, not having to feed on scraps from knackered team-mates giving crap service. Let him feed on some of the service Kuqi has been making a balls of in the opening 70 minutes of the last 22 games…..

Hmm.. I think that's equally as unfair on kuqi, alot of Kuqis chances are down to making them himself by hounding defenders or by getting himself into positions he needs to be. Smith does neither, it dusnt matter how knackered players are, they can still ping a ball across or in, if your in the right place. Smith stands central and invites on long punts that he either mis times his header or flicks on in the wrong direction.

For all we know smith might be looking shoddy in training? So dickov has no option but to stick with kuqi?

Kuqi is on an awful run but he proved at the start of the season he can finish, all it can take is one fluky goal from open play an he could regain that goalscoring prowess and end up with a 20 goal return, which noone can argue with?

On a personal note, in the short time smith comes on he shows no sign of pace, aerial ability, or a first touch. As people say he may need a proper run, but to earn that he needs to seize any oppurtunity he gets, and for me he just doesn't..

Recall little bembo-leta! Get him playing, see what impact he can make? Can he do any worse!?
