The main objective for this years business plan was a minimum a play off position.
Someone needs to fall on their sword but I wonder who will fall first.
It’s an a resounding corporate management failure at the highest level and their are serious questions that need asking.

I mean he stays for me but fuck me their is a big job to do this summer it doesn't need repeating how bad its been in the last quarter of the season but if they don't get it right Mellon will come under pressure very quickly. It might be the biggest summer of his career.
We finish 8 points outside the play offs all we had to do to finish inside them was to beat Fylde, Wealdstone and Kidderminster at home and that would have been enough are all those teams part time?
That’s just wanted me to slit my wrists..

Mikey has to stay.
-
I’m certain Mikey is under contract next season

What pisses me off that these clowns gave up and as of next season we have no academy.

The point is about how easy some people seem to think it is to move players on, there's a bit more to it than just 'binning them off'.
Yeah, probably in the region of 500.000 to bin them all off.

Calm down, we're gonna do a Blackpool!
They had 12 games to do that.

He’s on a 3 year deal, I can confirm he won’t be going anywhere anytime soon.
Anyone who has seen the accounts will understand the money in the pot isn’t endless.
On a different note, should we not be asking questions to the current board who have overseen this shit
show. I’m not talking about the Rothwell’s either.

Aldershot, in all my 70 years of watching football at all levels I've never seen so much hoofball, even in pub leagues.
Wow, Fylde was horrific, it must have been dire.

I couldn’t go yesterday but I was at Fylde.
For those who poor souls who witnessed both which was worse?.

It was hardly a mess, we were in the top half three games later...
It was horrible.

Heard they are handing out free neck braces at the turnstiles.
Usual shite being spouted on OWTB.

Looks like our win got the manager the sack!!!.
We are good at doing that, from memory, the most high profile manager to be booted after we stuffed them was Kevin Keegan (CIteh) Megson (Forest)…

Good to see promoting positive thoughts!!
I cannot see what Dallas has offered in any game where he has come on as a sub.
To be fair he’s not been fully fit, he’s quality…

Will Sutton has travelled I believe.

The people I feel sorry for are us the fans and Frank.
The recruitment side has been nothing short if horrific.
Who decided Unsworth would be a good idea ?
Who signed this plethora of deadwood we have in our squad ?
The fact is people cannot expect this to be turned around quickly, and it will take MM time to root out the garbage.( There is lots of that).
He’s done a good job of sorting the squad out.
But I agree, the previous signings since Frank saved the club has been terrible.

I didn’t compare Mellon to Joe.
I was just saying that Joe had some shockers just like Mickey has.
it’s not fair that the old timers on here try and preach that everything was rosy under Big Joe when it actually wasn’t…..

So Mellon has had as many in a month then.
I'm not saying we shouldn't stand by him but comparing him to Royle is just bizarre, particularly as Royle wasn't operating on the best budget in the division, half the crowds without a pot to piss in.
I didn’t compare Mellon to Joe.

Been to practically every match under Joe and I can't remember once the team being booed off at half and full time as on several occasions this season.
Yes they did.
I remember at least 3 times under Joe.
1.5 against Sheff Utd
0.2 against Bradford
Leeds 6 Oldham 0.
The point is like now is that after some horrendous performances under Joe the board stood by him.
What’s different now, some of the older posters on here have selective memories. Why shouldn’t the board stands behind their man, just like Ian Stott did behind Joe.

Please dont associate any of Royle's teams with that shower yesterday, never can I remember one of his teams playing in such an half arsed manner at home, granted we were never the best away from home but at home they'd never throw in performances like that.
Im not, I was suggesting that it all wasn’t rosy under Joe.
The only comparison I made was that there were spells under Joe that were horrific. I remember in that horrible post season after Leeds play offs being batttered by Branford away in the FA Cup 5.1. That was as equally as shit as yesterdays performance.

Be nice to dominate the odd game though eh
It would, but I’m also enjoying being in the playoffs whilst taking points off plenty of teams who have dominated us.

With our budget there is no reason we shouldn't be able to produce a good passing attacking team rather than a defensive hoofball one.
Gateshead played us off the park at BP with I imagine with a far smaller budget and now they are in the play offs.
That's how I want it anyway.
Then again I'm a 1990s JR team style dinosaur.
See what happens when a club gives a manager time when progress is being made.
I started in watching Latics in 1982 BP and I can assure you, it wasn’t all rosy in the garden when JR was at the helm. But, the board stuck with Big Joe as he was making progress. The 86 campaign after being beaten by Leeds in the playoffs was abysmal: But let’s forget about that, we only remember the good times.

Amazing that virtually every team that turns up to BP has players capable of passing the ball to each other but we can't possibly expect the same.
And let's be honest they got rid of Unsworth only when they absolutely had to do...
Let’s be honest, David had one full season, a full preseason and 12 games into a new campaign which left us 3rd from bottom in the 5 tier of armpit football and blowing a budget on mediocre shit at best players.
Mickey has come in, had five months and in that time had took us on a record away win sequence, platted shit the best way possible, got us in the playoffs, 3rd in form since he’s been here .
Just out of interest, what do fans want. Would you prefer playing well and be 3rd from bottom or being inconsistent due to bad signings and early days into a new takeover and still punching in the playoffs.
Being passed off the park is shit, but we are hardly being spanked. Every football purest knows this is a shit division were anything can happen. Why are some of you in shock, we got warned about this league when we unfortunately fell into it.

So you and they are rational in endorsing hoofball.
As Roy would say
'Deary me'.
Who says they are endorsing it, I’m sure and I definitely know they are hurting like we are today.
Thing is BP, they have a long term plan, I like that, they sussed out David and made the cut.
As a rational board would do, they are looking at form and if we are competing in and around the playoffs.
Go and support City if you want entertaining fast flowing football.
Cheerio.
