Wow that brought some memories back ...... she really was batshit crazy
She was known as SaraUSA on here.

The reason we went long is because it’s easier to bypass the midfield as it’s currently shite.

Is Mellon regarded as someone who possesses tactical flexibility?
What’s your take?.

I guess having a future England striker to call upon must have helped in that regard...
Good, he can spot a future England international from the others, savvy manager.

I’d possible I’d give Josh a break, his form so far is pretty poor. Keep him on the bench

Sounds like your mates seen him play live !
Been written off here by many already tho.
I trust Mellon knows what he’s all about.
be a good signing this.
Yeah, he also said if Neil Warnock was a football player he’d be Joe Garner.

I’ve just spoken to my mate who’s a Preston fan.
I said we signed Joe Garner, he replied….He’s an intelligent little fucker who has a handbag full of shithousery. Will win you scores of fouls, winds the opposition up and is excellent at holding the ball up.
Hard as nails and puts himself about and he’s excellent in the air. He’s a clever footballer who will be hated by the away fans but will give everything.
Apparently likes a night out also but will become a overnight fans cult hero…

I also think that Double M will get it right. And I am not overreacting by calling that performance, by both players and manager bloody awful

Sure, personally I think Mellon is quite an old school manager tactically and I would have preferred us to go in a more progressive direction.
Who would have preferred?.

The fanboys won't want to hear this but performances like today just reiterate why we should have been brave and gone down the progressive path.
Can you elaborate on this, it’s an interesting post?.

Looks like Lundstram is the latest boo boy.
He’s not, it’s just an observation that he isn’t really contributing anything to which is a vital role within the team.

I think a few will need this message board tonight to have a vent and get it out of there system it probably best to let them do it.
I don’t think it’s venting, that was my 4th match this year and we on this board seem to be reasonable on what we see.
I knew when Conlon was subbed that was that, we had no one to grab the game by the scruff of the neck. Josh hasn’t a tackle in him and unfortunately can’t pick a pass or dictate play.

Why did Dallas come on so late? I guess he’s easing him in but he missed Tuesday and most of today. I know he hasn’t had much game time recently but he must have a decent level of fitness
He hasn’t played much football and to be fair that team on paper should have dispatched Woking. I knew that result was coming today, what really gets me is that we never got behind them or caused them problems.
I don’t know what Josh adds to the team, he’s so one dimensional, doesn’t get stuck in, hasn’t a pass in him and ball watches. -

Stands back, second to the ball runs around on circles creating nothing. Undroppable by MM though it seems.
Not a patch on Walker for skill.
Spot on BP, I noticed that today it like he needs a rocket up his ass, he just goes through the motions.
Hobson reminds me of Fitz Hall, enjoy him whilst we have him as he is a bloody good footballer.
Bad day at the office but it’s a blip, dare I say it but we missed Hogans leadership qualities today.

Says something when your two centre halfs are competing for the MOM.
Not sure about Josh, he’s appearing to be “not all that”.

Doubt it - Conlon may be given the armband if McGahey doesn’t play but Hogan is captain and will be when he returns from any suspension.
McGahey has been stripped of the vice captaincy.

McGahey to return and Sutton will probably be added to the bench.

Surely a Curzon Ashton Chorley Hereford would take a gamble on him
His goal scoring record at Chester was one in 2 games. He’s National League North standard, I get the impression Fylde are now preparing a team for that division.

I also had him down as 9 but this website has him on 10 and Dave Bradley also said on the phone-in last night that he's suspended on Saturday. A shame because he's in great form at the moment.
As above this could see us play 433 on Saturday with Dallas and Walker coming in for Hogan and Fondop. Having said that the 532 (352) looked really solid defensively on Tuesday and we created plenty of chances. Interesting dilemma for MM.
Conlon will be Captain on Saturday and will probably retain it.

Of all the players mentioned, I would like to retain Ward,, Dickinson, Gardner, Hope, Sutton Reid and Green who are very good squad players at this level and give us that strength in depth.
Most of them will be gone apart from Sutton.
The only way Id keep Gardener is on a pay as you play basis.

There were some rumours that Dale were looking at Nuttall, not sure if there was anything in that.
Norman, Sutton, McGahey, Nuttall, Ward, Green, Tollitt, Gardner, Shelton, Willoughby, Hope, Dickinson, Reid and Couto could all struggle to make matchday squads and find themselves surplus, only stumbling block for some would be the wages, I imagine at least half of those are being well overpaid based on what they offer but are bound to have admirers. I still expect a couple to go whether that's permanent or on loan.
14 players on that list who've probably been made available.
Dale can’t afford anyone, they are unfortunately struggling to pay the players on a monthly basis. They are the that desperate that they their manager JIm McNulty had to register as a player.
