Where's everybody going boozing around the area?
-
It’s a no-brainer isn’t it? – this is exactly what I was expecting to happen; as soon a 1 or 2 of the listed lot were moved on; we’d have some scope to bring in some. Conservative guesstimate these; but say Colbeck was on £800 to £1K a week and Abbott £1.5K to £2K a week; at the upper end; we’ve freed up £3K a week for wages and Abbott has (allegedly) brought in £20K in a transfer fee that can be put to use too.
I’d hope for 2 good additions with that money; maybe 1 loan and 1 permanent signing????
I heard from a source that Colbeck's weekly wage was nearer £1500. Wouldnt surprise me either since DP paid 60k for him in the first place.

Change at Lime Street.
What time does it get into Lime street, and then depart from Lime street to Rockferry?
Any idea on the return journey times?
-
We are getting the 11:39 from victoria - gets to rock ferry @ 13:10. It's about a 15 min walk if memory From the station serves me correct.
Really? I didnt know there was a direct train from Mcr Vic to Rockferry - If so, that's the one me and the old man will definitely get. Should put me in the pub in Tranmere for 13:30ish then. Cheers mate.

How do you feel, it seems to have aroused strong feelings one way or the other
Not bothered in the slightest. Yes he scored 13 goals, but quite a few of them were pens (and its not as if someone else wouldnt have been able to score them). I don't think he's as good as a few people are saying on here, i think it was more a case of him standing out in a very very poor DP team by being the only person who was scoring because everyone else we had were shyte.
If PD feels it's the right decision then he's got my backing all the way. If we was good enough, he'd be staying and it's as simple as that.
If the fee is 75K then even better, a tidy profit for a player i deem to be average.
For the record, i would like a loan striker from the prem, someone with frightening pace will do.
Infact, more importantly, a quick CB will please me even more, whether its on loan or not!

Correctamundo. Goto www.hamachi.cc and download that (every person who wishes to be involved in the network game). Then create a network on Hamachi and wait till everyone joins. Then open FM and create the network game and whoever is joining it uses the IP that is displayed next to the hosts name on hamachi.
Now to get a few people interested.

Adam Le Fondre is high on oldham list to replace Pawel Abbott who in london to sign for Charlton.
And what couple of news reports have you added together to conjure up this beauty from this time?

I know how, love a good online game i do, and I would defo be up for one of those, only thing being i'd rather do it on FM09 cause FM10's toss and my computer cant hack its sheer size!!!
Anymore up for it?

do we still have jarrett on trial?
Were any questions posed to DickTaggDux about our financial situation and if so how confident and honest were their replies?
-
Can we not have a Barry Smiley?
Fantastic Idea.
-

On City's internal politics? How exactly?
This 'calling out' of Barry is becoming exceptionally tiresome. It's the reason we asked OAFC staff to have anonymous accounts in the first place!
It was kind of rhetorical the calling out of Barry, since everyone seem to be doing it recently, i just forgot to add an emoticon on at the end to help show that.

They can't get out of paying it to us.
NB. Any proceeds would go directly into our departed chairmans pockets paying off our £3M debt.
Exactly. How would they try and get out of it. I could slighly understand them contemplating trying if they were financially struggling, but considering the vast amount of riches they have now, it'll be like passing over pocket money. If they really were bothered about the sell on clause we have, I would have thought they'd have either offered us £1m or something once the arabs took over to call it quits or, they may up his value to compensate for the money owed to us.
I wonder if Barry could shed any light on this matter perhaps??
-
Rumour that City have had a 17m for left back Aleksander Kolarov.
They have just shelled out for Boetang who can play anywhere along the back four.
He must be amongst last choice defenders for them now.
I reckon he will will sold before the season starts.
I know we keep going around in circles re this matter, but if they did sell him (and with him being a top english prospect that means more money than your usual foreign exports), then I'd expect him to be valued at around £10-12m, so a windfall of £2-3m would be absolutely brilliant at such a time like now!!

I'll join if there's a premiership one. Is it set up on that budweiser fantasy football site?

How do the police know Raoul Moat had dandruff?
They found his head & shoulders in the trees.
-
that was mentioned right at the beginning of the topic mate.
-
Give over it.
Is this an anagram of something?
-
I thought I'd ask all fellow 'tics this hypothetical question.
Say you won £50m on the euromillions, how much of your winnings would you pump into OAFC if at all any?
Would you buy the club outright?
Would you clear their debts but that's all?
Would you look to invest with somebody else?
Would you give them a helping hand by giving them some cash?
Ignore OAFC and spend it elsewhere?
I'm not sure how to do a poll so I've just kept it as a standard topic/post.
Personally, depending on costs, I'd be tempted to buy the club and have someone run it for me.

Andy Butler
I rather look for a young backup CB rather than Andy Butler to be honest. And i'll be happy with another out and out winger. Someone tricky with pace.
That will be happy for the start of the season then.
BRING ON THE BINDIPPERS!!!!!

Maybe Blitz and Gazal were the Careful Christians and Corney always wanted to go for it and speculate to accumulate with decent signings...?
Now they're out of the way (ish) are the shackles off and he can play real life Fantasy Football once more............................???
I've got a funny feeling we're gonna do very well this season and our new chairman will be able to say to his mates "I told you so"
A pint of what your on please!!!
(I hope your right thought)

Good 442 & 433/451 options being built here.
Would still like another CB, full back and winger.

I did hear from a source just prior to Dickov taking charge that we would have some sort of relationship with Sunderland with regards to loan players.
