  1. I have noticed a few people saying that it does not look like colchester, but without the two corners (which i was told would be a phase two expansion) it is almost identical .

I think the plans are realistic , probably 10000 capacity with no corners will be the out come .

Dissapointing but unfortunatly we are down with the burys and rochdales now.

  2. So west ham move into a council built ground on cheap . (olympic stadium)

Offer really cheap season tickets and mach day offers in a desperate bid to fill it .

Smaller Local League One club ( leyton orient) suffer as fans choose the bigger better football , for a little bit more money , and small club slowly deteriorates.

Three house points for who can tell me where thats happened before!

  3. Completely agree mate, why the :censored: would anyone want to stay at BP?! Its :censored:!!

Its in a good place, close to the town, close to the motorway, close to pubs, it had caracter and a decent atomosphere for its size. The drab feeling around the place has been caused by demolition of the lookers and the split between the chaddy and rre. We've had bad teams before under richie, talbot, wadsworth but i still turned up to every game week after week. Like somebody has said there just does not feel a connection with the club anymore, no soul and moving away from bp especially out of oldham will be the final nail in the coffin. Might aswell change the name.

  4. We were p*ss poor tonight and i think we could have played for several hours and not scored but i think some people's reactions is (probably beer fuelled) over reaction. Leeds have won their last two 4 nil and are easily the best team in the league. Lets not get carried away. There are problems that need sorting but nothing thats going to get us relegated.

Now is the time for all you ''lets support not boo'' fans to realise its time to boo.

  5. Coming out of the main stand after the game I saw one Oldham fan chase another down the stairs in a frenzy, shouting stuff like "How dare you insult me in front of my family". He then implied he was going to send some "boys round" as he knew where the other Oldham fan was from.

The Oldham fan doing the chasing.....

    None other than Simon Corney.

It was an absolutely shocking display from one of our most senior people. Any other fan would have been bought up on charges but no doubt Mr. Corney will get away scott free from what was criminal harrassment. The poor bloke (wearing a red jacket who looked like he was in his 50s) didn't know what was going on and it was only the fact that a steward broke it up that he was able to escape without Mr. Corney assaulting him IMHO. I'm sorry Yes I want to see passion from our owners but that was criminal and it shows what a (insert word) Corney is. There is no way I want that sort of person in charge of my beloved Oldham. Oh and if Mr. Corney doesn't like what I just said (depsite it being the truth) it he is welcome to send some boys round (something he is obviously fond of threatening).

I totaly agree , i saw it and it was thugish at best, Simon should take whatever criticism that comes his way and be profetional bout it., I think his attitude at the new ground meeting said it all , . Hope the press get all over it.

  6. As I saw it he was going crazy at some poor oap suporter who had said somthing to him during the later stages of the game . He was very abusive, swearing, poking and pushing . Trying not to be too nosy i walked on , did anyone see what happened after? Not sure were i stand on this , half of me thinks fair play for sticking up for yourself , but on the other hand if i was to go to a resteraunt and pay good money to be served a piece of crap i'd wana say somthing to the owner. Views please!!

  7. I wondered again today why we let him go, what a shining light for Yeovil. Quite easily there best player maybe bar the winger, held the ball up well, did alot of running in the channels creating space and was looking for the ball, showing his pace to drag defenders away creating even more space, unlucky not to score when the ball bounced unkindly, still think he's got a place in the premiership one day, to the naked eye he won't have looked that good today, but for an in depth mind with good knowledge of the game, they'll know how well Craig played today.

i once knew a fellow with an in depth mind with a good knoledge of the game , Think he was called mick wadsworth

  8. But they'd have to move ST chaddy enders who were not given a disturbance discount, rather than a similar number of ST RRE'rs who were given a disturbance discount.

This change is ALL down to the morons who tried to start something with Hudds last season.

There are some absolute idiots in the rre , if theres no one to frow abuse at they start on each other its f*ckin embarassing. F*ckin morons.....

  9. :petesake:

Just brilliant. Yeah. Lets cost the club some vital cash, purely cos our town is crap and cant be arsed to support our club.

Typical arse about face logic. If 'udders want to fill the end good on 'em. You seem to forget we always take a shed load to their place and outsing their fans too. The players still have to do it on the pitch.

We have had this debate to death, but unfortunately football is a business. If you still think its just a game you might aswell just go and support your local U-12s side.

If they put the away fans in the chady they wont loose any cash the atmosphere would just be better in lattics favour. If they moved home fans from the chaddy it would save us money in the long term. For the smaller games they would only have to open a quater of the chaddy for away, from the sheepfoot lane side and therefore save on policing.

If for example hudders would have sold out the rre then you could argue money lost , but then you think of the money saved on policing as the oposing fans are at opposite ends , so prob wont be much different.....Logic!

It is a business but there has to be a balance.

WE do take a fair crowed to their place but its always 3,000 short of the home fans. If they were to sell ou the rre then it would be 4,000+ of huds and 4,000+ of latics.

I honestly do think the blackpool support in the playoff game at bp gave their players a huge lift. And this could happen to huds.

  10.

but if (wich they wont) hudds were to fill the rre then there would prob be the same if not more hudds fans than latics, If the club are happy with that then they dont understand football as a game. its all just £££££££££££££££££££. They forget there is pride and emotion involved.

It would feel like a home game for them , they would drown us out cos the chaddy roof would keep our noise in , the udds players would have a massive lift and we would loose , bit like blackpool in that playoff game!

  11. Now is the time to finally change the home end..........We have maybe 2 seasons left at boundary park and judging by the last 2 home attendances where the Chaddy end has been almost empty I think we should change the RRE to the home end.

The small portion could be the new family stand and with the main stand capacity at 2450 would give home fans a capacity of just over 7000 which should be OK if we stay in this division next season.

The Chaddy capacity of 3750 would be enough for the big games like Leeds and Hudds and a greater concentration of Latics fans in the RRE would make for a much better match atmosphere!!!!

    Totally agree!

You get the stubborn ones who want to stay but tough :censored:, it does make sence and would create a much better atmosphere , as the acoustics from the rre are twice that of the chaddy.

I'v been in the chaddy and thought it was noisy then talking to away fans after and they say they could hardly hear us, its crap always has been , its our worst stand view wise aswell , so why not???

  12. is mark allot a legend?- more games and more goals

eyres was a good player for us but a legend...not IMO

Of course he was a legend , top player , top bloke , scored some of the best goals seen at bp, and proved his legend status during the chris moore callaps, always be my favourite.

  13. He was hilarious!

Pole dancing with the strippers, winding up away fans, running around with massive Owl feet instead of football boots etc. He used to boost the atmosphere when he dribbled the ball from the Chaddy End and score at the Rochdale Road end, the crowd always gave him the big " whoooooooooooaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh".

With sparse entertainment on the pitch, I say bring him back.

    Any funny incidents you remember?

He does still wear the owl feet for apearances.
