  1. I realise a question like this has probably been posted before, but i was just wondering who do people consider latics hard men to be either past or present. The only reason i ask this is because i was watching the damned united tonight on dvd, and watching people like bremner and hunter got me thinking who our hard men were. The only one i can vaguely recall is ronnie blair. Anybody any ideas... Ps has anybody seen the damned united. What do you think of it
  2. No they havent put any seats in it yet. I still think it looks ok though. Agree about it being decent for chesterfield though. But like anything else it all comes down to finance. Any ambitions will always come secondary
  3. Driving through chesterfield today on my way home i couldn't resist taking a look at there new stadium. I must admit it looks very nice from the outside. Puts boundary park to shame. Roll on the new stadium if it ever happens, although prefably not at failsworth.
  4. there is quite a few disappointed wednesdyites here at work this afternoon. Oh well a local game for me to get to next season. Jump on the tram, a few pints in the penny, and on to watch dave pennys fine team of footballers...lol
  5. i personally don't think there should be any parachute payments at all. There already is an unfair advantage for the likes of west brom etc.. Will we ever see oldham grace the top flight again.. what was it last time a 68 year gap. Could be longer this time. Sorry to be pessimistic but just telling it like it is.
  6. Tonight summed up why i exactly hate manure. Red nose being interviewed afterwards stated that he didnt like the bayern players surrounding the ref to get the kid sent off. **** me his players have been doing exactly that for years, keane and neville spring to mind. Oh and ferguson himself is always friendly to referees and linesman isnt he. Everything about them screams of pure hypocrisy. Gonna have a beer to celebrate.
  7. While reading through all the posts about our beloved mr.eyres, it got me thinking about what the best goal he has ever scored. My personal favourite, and one that will always stick in my memory, is that free kick against stockport in feb 2003. What a way to win a game, everybody went mental when that went in. Mike
