Scoring no goals again is hardly refreshing daz., and in work we all know an older head can sometimes help when you are new to the job.
I do agree with the budget though, maybe its time to splash a bit of cash from the cup runs in transfer fees rather than on more loanees.
Surely he has been let down by the likes of Rooney. Mac's injuries - although expected - haven't helped. Millar has been underwhelming too.
Only LJ will know if Rooney is showing signs in training but if he isn't he should be moved on for someone else. Surely Rooney's wages would attract a decent striker.
An old head would help but it has to be LJ's final decision with advice.

What is wrong with...
Oxley
Kusunga Tarky Grounds
Worrall Wes Smith Dayton
Harkins
Philli JCH/Macdonald

I would be more worried if the chances were absent.

A lack of budget is taking us down the league IMO and possibly a lack of experience in the management team, but would an experienced assistant dampen the LJ's USP?
The whole point of LJ is his refreshing attitude to football. Isn't it?

...but BP, if it was as simple as reverting to old, out dated methods from 30+ years ago - why aren't all the sides, in every division going back in time and adopting those methods?
2013/2014 football is not the same as 1980/1981 football.
Tell Barcelona and Spain that you won't have success with 2 defensive midfielders and lightweight players. They can show you all their medals an trophies...
I would say top level football is very different to the League One version.
We have to beat what is in front of us not look to emulate the elite who play with 90% technical ability and 10% blood and guts. At our level those qualities are quite the reverse - ask Liverpool after the defeat at BP last season...
Most teams in our league see the will to scrap for 3 points as a given. We have to match that in order to play our football.

At the time, it was Alan Young.
I thought of Youngy but I was too young at the time to know why!
It will be all in the book via Playershare...

Afternoon all, just decided I can't miss this one!!!
Which is the best route to Rotherham from StalyVegas? Thanks in advance.
Woodhead for me.

Credit where it is due. I thought Cliff Byrne was spot on when he came in. He even got forward. Good on him!!
-
Or it can go the other way and he performs like Byrne yesterday. I'm sure if wouldn't but that is the risk.
Iffy Cliffy was out of condition yesterday but LJ is still fit. Lee sees himself as a manager now judging by his comments.

Very sad news Ian. My condolences to you and the family.

Imagine if he wanted to meet us in Ashton?
Or Failsworth
-
Shame on LJ, he got his facts wrong, we're doomed to relegation now..

You get my drift, the team that won the Div 3(old money) and got us to the old Div 2
now thats the team i grew up with
So did I... Southport away as a 3 year old (nearly 4 ) with mum, dad and grandparents in the Championship winning season 1973/1974.
Servants though:
Big Joe as an employee and as a proud fan
Jimmy Frizzell
Big Gordon
Alan Hardy
Billy Urmson
Andy Ritchie as an employee and as a proud fan
All the lottery/ moonraker scratch card/ programme sellers and turnstile attendants
spring to mind.

In hindsight and at the time, removing PD's staff was great and required leadership from the top. Well done Mr Corney for saving us from relegation. That is what he did.

Can those bemoaning him going on a free point me towards the, "Sign Him Up,' threads last summer please...
Problem is... In Dickov we trusted!

How much is this guy still owed?
IF we ever went in to Administration would we no longer owe him, apart from Creditor payments?
Anyone else wonder if the deal goes through and Simon Blitz is paid his £1 - 2 Million or whatever, we are then in more danger of administration that ever? Hope not but there would be much less to lose for TTA and little prospect of realizing the debts in the near future.
Its like the old saying that if you owe the bank £500 and can't pay, then you are in trouble but if you owe them £5 million then the bank is in trouble...

3 clubs with longstanding traditions merge full of hope for a new beginning.
The new club struggles to muster 3500-4000 fans.
New club goes bust and hardly anyone sheds a tear...
Its a 'no' from me!

But the oppo would have something to think about at least. We are losing 1-0 but we might win the odd game 2-1 or 3-2.
We do have Mellor or Connor Brown to close the back door if needed. Currently we are losing with a wimper.
