  1. They would care less why would they. The minute the kids are out of the gate its the parents who are responsible not the schools. As someone who contributed to the tickets and know how hard Dean and co worked it leaves a bitter taste that we end the season with this crap. More stewards or a temp net would have done it as a one off. Ban the little sods but dont tar all the great kids who didnt put a foot wrong. Or the club IS fooooked.

This would be a good way of identifying them. Also, if someone put my school in a bad light when I was a kid, there would have been hell to pay! Parents would be in no doubt as to the matter in hand. As it stands, parents will believe that their 'little darlings' are off to the match and then they come home. Nothing more.

This episode can be used to set a few ground rules and educate a few kids as to how they shold behave if they want to remain in the stadium for a whole match or allowed in at all for that matter!

This is the clay we have to work with and if we can mould them into loyal, well behaved fans of the future then how can we miss this opportunity? Not all the young fans are badly behaved, we are talking the usual 10%.

The vast majority are happy to turn up and behave, Please don't forget this Barry!

I did observe that the invaders quickly moved off the pitch when the supporters in the stands let their feelings known. Maybe we all have a small responsibility here. Didn't we all have the guiding hand of our more senior fans to help us make the right choices at the match?

We were all warned of the consequences of encroachment but it happened. Kids who don't yet get it were guilty. When they do get it they will be true 'tics...

Nobody encroached at the end. Maybe a lesson learned?

  2. For those who think we are making too much of this incident, let me inform you that we are likely to face a very heavy fine from the FA. Everyone can turn a blind eye to fans being on the piutch at the END of the final game of the season but we have no excuse during a match. As I said our stewards have had constant problems all season with the conduct of UNSUPERVISED KIDS who chose to ruin it for other people. None of us should have to put up with this for the £10 it costs. Do we want the mindless ones as future fans, I think not.

Nobody wants to drive the youth away from Boundary Park and I am pretty sure that concessions will be offered to certain age groups who are accompanied by an adult season ticket holder. We cannot continue to act as baby sitters for out of control kids. Sorry !!!!!!.

    Barry

Education education education. Believe it or not, most of these young idiots will grow up and mature into potential season ticket holders.

There is a difference between stewardship and babysitting!

  3. yeah i mostly agree, but for me we have been far too quiet vocally, and still aint producing enough chances. i dont buy this "our form is good enough for promotion under LJ". we are winning by one goal every game. to me that tells us he has sorted the defence out, not we have found the knack of scoring. it is clear we still need improvements all over the park.

we need leaders, we need people willing to put a tackle in, and while i do agree I trust LJ to deliver next season, I personally feel he will be far from ready to settle with this squad.

    Oh nooo! Nightmare...

  4. Bury is now a cup final. Win and we stay up, lose and we go down in my opinion. I can't see us getting anything from the last 3 games, maybe a point at Shrewsbury. Scunthorpe may get something from one of their home games and also have bury away as their possibly season saving game. We need a win at bury and a point from the other 3 I think, what a shambles.

By a good number of goals IMO

  5. I don't think we would have been so disappointed to appoint LJ in the summer have assured a L1 place. It's the timing that's the problem, it's a massive gamble when what we need is an experienced steady head to keep us up.

I am sure that SC will not leave Lee on his own with zero experience.

It sounds to me that Lee will provide the energy day-to-day and someone else will provide experience and support.

    Simon isn't a fool.

  6. Phil brown and brian horton (i think) buggered off after 70 mins and Corney didn't come out 4 2nd half. Discussions? 2+2=75?

Also got told dowie has already agreed a 2 year deal and is negotiating his release from sky. Source? Billy urmson apparently.

    Who to believe?

Corney was stood at the top of the tunnel steps for all the 2nd half. With his head in his hands...

  7. And Baxter looks to be going that way.

    Yes true.

Byrne looked like he's lined up to the new boss from his actions on the side today. He patted every Latics player on the back at full time.

Nothing against Cliff but I hope he is just trying and hasn't been given the job!
