  1. thought Reid did well first half, quiet 2nd but looks a lot fitter than last season (although that wouldnt be difficult). Smith won everything in the air, really impressed with the lad. The back 4 looked solid both halves and Diamond looked like he could make a good partnership with Mvoto, Furman was class and Taylor and Morais looked sharp. thought that Marc lad was solid without being spectacular (could be an alright signing)

  2. Didn't show us, showed our goals at team to nine, just showed the the goals it didn't show earlier - except for the usual Southampton w@nkfest. I love how everyone is writing us off - and taking no notice of our challenge. Was reading the Huddersfield forum and they don't seem to be worried about our charge in the slightest. I think they're in for a shock next week, as our Peterborough 'can't defend for toffee' United.

Got to love Huddersfield fans, slag off Leeds fans for years for being arrogant and the moment they get a bit of cash the act exactly the same.

  3. Just back from a very satisfying night at BP. First-half was a bit scrappy, all our best work came wide and strangely enough the goal and the chance that we hit the post with both came from Tonk's runs down the left. The early goal was just what we needed but the conditions were difficult and Collins their no. 5 should have headed an undeserved equaliser, that was the only real time they threatened. Second-Half a defensive blunder allowed Morais to wreak havoc, the ball was switched to the Ginger Ninja who walloped home an instant second. From then on we hardly broke sweat, Morais was excellent, Lee marked the usually superb Monkhouse out of the game and the third goal was sublime, Evina hitting a smashing cross-shot after a speedy break - again we switched the ball quickly across the park and Evina drove a rocket of a cross-shot into the net. Reid was rightly brought on for Tonk next and should have scored with his first touch but to be the fair the keeper made a smart save low to his right. Late on a free-kick was half-cleared played back in and Reid scored with an emphatic header. All in all a great night - disappointing to hear about Peterborough, Charlton and Southampton's late goals but we're in the top 6 on merit and I see the Daggers had a thumping win on tonight so it could be a goalfeast on Saturday.

Amos - Being treated for hypothermia - 6

Lee - Excellent all night, one dodgy slip but kept the ever-dangerous Monkhouse quiet - 8

Rubes - He was excellent tonight and quite vocal at times - 8

Trotman - Looked to have switched off a few times which could have caused trouble - 6

Evina - Defended well, linked up well with Taylor and White, wonderful goal - 8

Furman - Usual busy performance won a lot of loose and second balls - 7

Morais - Take back my reservations, this lad is a match-winner superb player sign him up!!! My joint MOM 9

Stephens - Excellent at times, sloppy at others, but worked hard when we didn't have the ball - 7

White - This lad has the knack of being in the right place at the right time just by drifting in at the back post and he's cashed in woith 3 of his 4 goals that way so far - 7

Taylor - Our Talisman, took him a few minutes to get going but he's added responsibility to hi game, he wants to be involved and wants to run the show. Superb Joint MOM 9

Tonk - Looked a handful in the first-half, looked to have ran out of steam and looked lethargic at times but then offers a burst of pace. Collins won most of the headers against him - 6 1/2

    Subs:

Reid - Looked lively, could have and maybe should have doubled his tally to a brace, with the early miss. But will score goals - 7

Feeney - Busy, wanted to be involved - 6

Jones - Didn't have too much time to impress - 6

It's about time we gave the Monkey Hangers a pasting, what a shame it was watched by such a pathetic (but very loyal and grateful crowd)

Give Tonk a 7 and I agree with everything here

  4. Aye, the paid ones are much better than free alternatives. I've used free antivirus before they couldn't detect a murder if they were Inspector Morse.

But I ain't paying for antivirus. Bootleg copy of Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 all the way for me.

That is utter crap. A lot of the free ones are just as good if not better then the paid ones. Most of these companies make their money on the commercial versions and offer a scalled down version for home/personal users. This is exactly what the like of Norton, Kaspersky, Mcafee etc do but they decide to charge you so they make more £££ and they give people the impression that they must be better then free ones as you pay for them.

The likes of Microsoft, Avast and AVG offer free one so that more people use them, hence they become aware of new virus; sooner.

Yes there are some crap free ones but there are also crap paid ones.

At the moment the better ones are

    Paid

    Bitdefender

    Norton

    Kaspersky

    Panda

    F-secure

    Zone alarm

    Free

    AVG

    Microsoft Security essentials

  5. To be fair Black was playing up against Chamberlin a player who Arsenal are chasing didn't they table a £6million bid?

Best side we have palyed in the 14 years in this division however they may not play that well again all season we may have met them tonight at their peak.

The only thing Dickov could have done differently tonight was go 5 in midfiled 2nd half and just try and stop Southampton playing but even then who did we have on the bench to come in to the middle of midfield and start ball winning?

Looks like Fergie was impressed with Chamberlin last night

  6. Yeah i did that :petesake: So is Microsoft Security Essentials decent then? Or should i spend another £80 to clog up my computer again when my Norton subscription runs out?

yeah security essentials is the best free one at the moment, AVG is ok and Avast isnt as good as it once was but is ok.

And anyone using IE or firefox, get Chrome or Opera instead.

  7. Absolutely knackered after 70 minutes, should've been noted and him taken off. He had a good game but was blowing at the end. Getting beaten every time in the last 10 and a massive reason he gave away the penalty.

Gotta say I really like this lad, very confident on the ball and reminds me a lot of Lee. He's got a fair bit to learn but I think he's got a lot more potential the Black.

Him struggling at the end of tonight's game was a mixture of fitness, inexperience and lack of cover/help but I think he's gonna be class.

  8. Got to agree about the subs, they were wrong. Stephens looked knackered and needed to come off for Jarrett, he was completely ineffective seconds half. The young right back had not support from Jones (who kept drifting into the middle) and Exeter took advantage. I felt for him as he was fantastic first half.

Feeney is a waste of a wage, under the kosh and he was floating around up front, should have dropped a little to try and keep the ball- this years K Parker.

I don't this Exeter earned the point, we threw it away. After the :censored: up from Brill for the first goal, heads just went.

They were offside in the lead up to the pen, i was practically in line with it and was a clearly off.

Two points dropped tonight, should have had 5-6 goals tonight

  9. U

I watched the game where Kelly had one shot on target, where he was constantly out-muscled off the ball and 'aused the opposition defence no problems. We were attacking for long periods of the match, we put plenty of crosses high and low into the box and he was just no where near them. He just had no presence.

As for Brill, I don't see how he was at fault for the goal he came out to offer Mvoto an escape route so he could head the ball back into Brill's hands. Brill didn't anticipate that a guy half the size of Mvoto would muscle him off the ball.

Brill was in no man's land. Jarrett did what he should have done and got between the forward and the goal and brill should be on the line. Kelly held the ball up well and brought other players Into the game

    • Dikaba, looked very good, his control and technique are better than what we've got. If he had more pace he'd be very dangerous. Still as it happens his controls and feints managed to get him past their left back on numerous occasions, final ball was a bit hit and miss but I really rate him. Sign him up.

    • Toounkara, he is an odd player. He's a big dope and he missed an easy chance from point blank range to put us 2-1 ahead. He also missed a couple of other harder chances with his head. He needs to realise he isn't playing reserve football, he tried too hard to mess around with the ball at his feet and he's not wxactly quick footed so their defenders were having none of it. His control is pretty bad but in a couple of fleeting moments he did a nice flick on and a back heel which Kelly didn't read.

    • Which bring me onto Kelly. Looks out of his depth, never troubled their defenders, no strength and no pace. Perhaps he's a lethal finisher but he never got into the positions to show it. He tries and he does run but I don't think he'll make the grade. He's still adapting to professional football but he needs to realise this isn't Sunday league, chances don't come on a plate, you have to be clever and work for them, I'd have liked to see him attack the ball in the box more. He came far too deep at times for my liking.

    • Taylor, a very good game, the goal and a petulant first 20 minutes of falling on the floor aside he looked very composed on the ball and while he's still not at his best I have to say Taylor today was better than any version of Taylor I saw last season. Maybe he lacked that final bit of confidence to go through the defence when on the edge of the box, but if he builds on today's performance then he could be in a for a very good season.

    • Mvoto, a big defender, seems pretty mobile as well, but his football brain is shocking. He didn't use his strength as well as he should and was shown up by Akinde and Hoskins on a few occasions, he played the ball into danger far too often and he was stood in the middle of nowhere many times forcing Black to come over and take his man.

    • Jarrett, at fault for their goal, no excuses, terrible for most of the first half and like Mvoto gave the ball away. Second half, couldn't have been more different he looked composed and sharp and didn't faff around with the ball, just got it clear.

    • Furman, excellent again, found Dikaba time and time again with that long diagonal ball. He ran around he tackling, he brought the ball down well looking to get us playing on the floor. He's been a revelation in the middle this season.

    • Brill, saved us on a few occasions, a very solid a performance which is becoming the norm for a guy a lot of people have their pitchforks out for.

Overall, a game I wanted us desperately to win because of their antics of throwing themselves on the floor. We were on top going into the break and it was quite clear they wanted to stop us coming out and attacking them in the second half with the way they wasted 10 of the first 15 minutes. They had nothing in midfield, their long ball was dangerous because of Mvoto being a liability and Black getting skinned several time for Brill to come to his rescue.

Despite the point, everyone seemed happy at full time, because we were on the front foot for a lot of it. We didn't quite create the amount of chances we perhaps should have for our attackin dominance but the football on the whole is so much better. In retrospect we'll look back and say it's a game we should have won. Brizzle haven't been up to much this season and it showed today, we gifted them a goal. Pleased with the performance and everyone else seemed it too.

Think you and me watched a different game today. Kelly was one of our best players today. Jarrett played well for me and it was Mvoto and brill who were at fault for the goal

  10. K

how? was it not jarrett who let it bounce then let his player get the wrong side of him before not dealing with it and then letting him get his shot off leaving brill stranded?

It was his bad ball that put us in the :censored: but was allright apart from that. Furman Mon by a country mile. Lee and Kelly was also excellent

  11. Thought DJ and Kelly both very similar players and has to be one or the other with Tounkare not both together. Taylor had a decent first half but went missing second. Smalley was non existant and his potisioning is crap, Furman worked hard but Stephens really isnt playing well at the moment. Lee worked hard and tried to get forward when he could. Was impressed with McDonald when he came on.
