You rang...
I asked for fans to put their questions to DP earlier this month and had a rather poor response, considering how many on here have very vocal opinions.
The article explaining what to do to submit a question is here: http://www.oldhamathletic.co.uk/page/NewsU...1841094,00.html
Cheers, must have missed that at the time
-
Maybe the website guy could put some fans questions to DP and stick it on the fishul. Maybe the first one being about what scouting is in place at Latics
-
btw, anyone play pro evo online?
Fifa for me
-
Fleming wont be no returning messiah.
I have no misconceptions that he will be. I know Fleming isnt a world class but I just think he's better than Brill. I just dont feel comfortable with him in the net.
Whoever IS in the net come any match day will always get my full support though.
-
5 clean sheets in 7 and for you, Brill is crap and Hazell is the reason we might not make the playoffs.
And you ask someone else if they've been going to Latics this season?
and how many goals have we conceded because of mistakes from Brill?
just because the team is doing well doesnt mean individuals are doing well. Yes he has had a couple of good games but do you honestly think he is good enough. It terms of Rubes, I said on the other thread that I dont think he's a bad player but I just cant see us getting promoted with him being one of our first choice CB's
-
!!!!!!!!!!
Gregan should be playing out of his skin every week anyway. 50/50 they will score? yes thats why we've had 5 clean sheets in 7. He's made the odd gaff, just as most keepers do.
The odd gaff? have you been going to Latics this season? I dont like slating our players but for me he isnt good enough. I just hope Fleming is back in jan and first choice
-
why? The guy isnt a good keeper, I dont care how many clean sheets we have had.
-
You could say the same about Abbott & Parker, all those chances they miss ....
Not really, the qualities you need in a defender are totally different to a striker. A defender needs to be good for 90 mins where as a striker can do sod all for most of the game as long as they have that moment of brilliance.
Dont get me wrong, I dont think Rubes is s***e but he needs to play for his place, we need someone to challange him (which we all know). I just feel that a consistant back four is the difference between being around the playoffs and getting promoted and he is the weak link in that respect
-
we've conceded the 2nd least amount of away goals in the league and about the 4th/5th (not checked) least amount of goals full stop.
And?
Does this prove that Hazel is a good player?
-
Is he balls! He's been rock solid for the past 6 weeks now, back to his best. In fact, even against a tough Saints side last week he and Gregan were pretty faultless.
Can't fans grasp the concept that players hit the odd rocky spell from time to time?
Yes I can and and he is pretty a decent defender but he makes too many series f**k ups and I personally feel he is one of the weak points in an otherwise decent team. His regular mistakes could be the difference between getting in the playoffs and not.
-
So what he scored today, hes still a liability at the back.
-
And the moaning begins
-
if the kids are under 5 they might let them in for free - when i was booking some charlton tickets earlier this week i think the lady on the phone was saying that was policy at latics, pretty sure <5 years was the cut off
6 and 10
-
Cheers guys, talked him into coming to theSouthampton game on the 17th so thats 3 more for the attendance. This I will have to move from the main stand to the chaddy for that game though.
-
Can someone tell me the ticket prices for kids in the main stand lower
I'm trying to get one of the lads from work to come to a game with his family but I cant access the official site from work.
cheers

As DP is an experienced manager, I would expect him to take as much notice of the plaudits and apologies as he did of the criticism 3 weeks ago....NONE !
I do however respect Bob for his comments.....lets just hope the muppets who disgraced themselves in the RRE after Dean Brill had a bad run of form are also pragmatic...I doubt it somehow.
As for the comments re attendance. I much prefer 3600 optimistic supportive fans rather than bolstering numbers with the moaners. Please moaners....stay away.
Although I didnt agree with the amount of abuse directed at him, he was piss poor and the people who pay money to watch latics do have the right to let there feelings known and to be fair he has upped his game since then and he got a good reception tonight.
-
I cant get the smile off my face. Really enjoyed tonight, even though the attendance was :censored: the crowd got behind the team and the team performed and you could tell they really wanted it. Young hungry team.
You could tell how much it meant to the players at full time.
-
Parker for me. He stretches defences wide and that opens it up for us. Great finish to a great move.
No scapegoats and no heroes though. 11 hard working winners out there tonight.
well said. I honestly can't decide who was MOM tonight I think all of them played well. Maybe Gregan, Furman, Pav, Kelvin, Sheehan, Parker, Whits, hmmmm i'm really not sure.
-
Casper is over rated again, Furman under rated. Pro evo was crap last year. Tried the demo of Fifa 10 over the weekend and think its improved a lot over last years version.
-
No some fans expect Ronaldo on our wing they forget we are a league one club with a low budget
Don't talk crazy, he would be a prime target for the boo boys
-
I really dont know how were still in the football league TBH as according to some people on here.
Our owners are s**t
Our manager is s**t
and all our players are s**t
-
Reminds me how well Whitaker and Lee did first half, but they don't half fade badly during games.
I think they're good options from the bench for that reason though.
I agree, Whitts seems a much better impact player than a starter.

The rarely wrong Chron lists the injured players:
Joe Jacobson: Pelvic joint
Andy Holdsworth: Virus
Kelvin Lomax: Groin
Liam Dawson: Broken hand
Paul Black: Hamstring
Jon Worthington: Ankle
Chris Taylor: Pelvic joint
Rob Purdie: Pelvic joint
Deane Smalley: Back
Keigan Parker: Virus
Three pelvic joints and Smalley may need surgery on his back. DP admits he has never experienced such a lengthy casualty list with less than one month of a new season completed.
Whatever happened to those 'healing hands'?
I want to know what training these guys are doing to get three pelvic injuries!

I've always found it odd we haven't had more loan players from United and City its win win for both, they get there young players some league experience and we get players which we couldnt afford to buy
