Does anyone know if midweek games are now available to watch on ifollow in the UK? There was talk of it. And does this include league cup games? (Not sure why I’m using the plural)

I think Sam said on Saturday League cup games aren’t available.

My understanding from last season is that Tuesday Chekatrade and a Tuesday league games will be

The "70 CVs" figure always makes me laugh. I could stick a CV in with my enviable record on Championship Manager - would that count as one of the 70??

And for the reasons you've listed, we wouldn't get anyone better..

I have a save on FM16 where I have Latics a comfortable mid table Premier League side - Timmy Dieng holding his own

An ageing Nani having my pants pulled down over a huge contract and always being injured made me think twice about applying for real but I’m sure I saw in the news a Northampton fan applied for a managers job using his full FM CV as evidence he was capable ?

Of course you'd get experienced managers at our level.....it's one of the golden 92 jobs. Corney stated on more than one occasion that within hours of sacking a manager, he would have over 70 CVs emailed through to him. Biggest problems are salary required or those who gone around the block several times at lower league level without sniffing a playoff spot. Note the likes of Martin Allen, who never seems to be out of work long.

Corney also said that the Sports Direct deal would have us with a top League 1 budget then 3 years later (despite the interview still being on YouTube) denied ever saying as such.

If Corney told me grass was green I’d go outside to check

I sympathise with that and I'd rather AL than Corney any day of the week. But surely he inspected the books thoroughly before buying the club? He'd been around for half a year before the takeover was completed.

I'm not directly calling Abdallah a disgrace but I believe our recruitment has been (barring JBB and Andy Taylor). I know nothing of his wealth but given the money he was pumping in last season I find it hard to believe that his resources have suddenly ran dry - why waste everything in your first year? The weekly fee that was spent on Menig alone would pay the weekly wages for 3 very good strikers at this level. I think the fans have been let down this season, we could've made a real go of it and brought the feel good factor back to BP.  We deserve a promotion, we've waited long enough.

I think we're just going to have to agree to disagree as I'm honestly boring myself. We are where we are and I think Bunn and Rhodes will do a decent job given the players at their disposal.

Im going to say this with great caution and I’m not a business man so don’t really know the ins and outs of buying one.

is it beyond the realms of possibility that the books where well and truly looked at but maybe not everything was in said book?

like I say no idea but as a staunch defender of Corney in days gone by he seems dodgier and dodgier by the day!

btw Ryan, agreed with you a lot recently especially today - your concerns about top half are certainly valid and got to say your arguments balanced. Sure we will be sparring at some point though ?

A footballer is not obligated to be customer-facing. Whilst a large percentage of them do choose to interact with fans it is not part of their job description - if every footballer decided tomorrow that they will not interact with the fans they could freely do so without violating the terms of their contract.

I’m leaving the whole Gerrard argument alone now but (and this isn’t a dig

you will find that fan interaction actually is written into their contracts - it includes the school, hospital and charity visits. They have to do them as part of their job

granted I don’t think it extends to Twitter

Fuck what the opposition think, they hardly worried themselves over what a succession of bullshit merchants Holden, Kelly, Dunn, Robinson, Wellens had to say so I don't think they will get overly precious that Frankle can't find the time to get down to Nailsworth beforehand to check them out. Honesty over bullshit then - let me think.....

I need a lie down - I agree with you far too much these days

No but for me on reflection AL not bringing him back was a massive own goal for all concerned,  even going into the Northampton game he was tweeting good luck messages and seems to have a real affection for our club, sad day all round really but I wish him all the best at Accrington.

Last season mate I would agree - think this season his stock has significantly lowered due to being at a championship club on loan then later being dropped by a relegated league 1 club - as much our fault if we really had a chance with him last season. I wish him all the best at Accrington but he has definitely stalled at best gone backwards at worst
