  1. crowd was either very quiet or hostile tonight, wasnt that cold to be honest, plus i was laughing so much listening to beardy and kel,and they were sober!!!

Crowd wasn't as hostile as such but were defo very quiet. Unfortunately i think this pattern of attendance will stay the same for the next two tuesdays.

  2. Just been reading the Wikipedia stub on Roger which reports his whereabouts is unknown !

Is this actually the case or an urban myth ?

Also when was the last time he was back at BP ? Seem to recall him taking a penalty at the Chaddy End in a night game 2002ish (remember David Reeves had recently signed)

Did anyone from this forum ever meet him ?

Am i right in thinking he now resides in the Sale area?

  3. he looked fed up to me when he scored on saturday. He must be fed up with playing on the wrong side knowing that 9 times out of 10 he cant put a decent ball in left footed it must be driving him mad. He is probably one of our best attacking players but we waste him on the left wing - it drives me tapped. I want to slap sheridan stupid. Taylor right wing, Lomas left back (wheres hes decent) and Livermore left wing. OR if Livermore has to play left wing back about putting someone who isnt half the threat taylor is out there someone like Gary Mac. The team is unbalenced as sin but at least leave Taylor in is best position

    I agree

When Livermore came in i thought this was an excellent chance for Taylor to shift over to the right and was surprised to see lomax get dropped and livermore play at left back on saturday. Livermore played well and put some great balls in on Saturday from the left when he advanced forward and i think its a perfect chance to play chris taylor in his natural position on the right.

  4. I am a "Upper" and I find it bang out of order when some of these people start their moaning. I have one at the side and one Behind me. I can't wait for the stand to be pulled down so I get to sit away from these muppets.

Knowing my luck though, I will probably end up next to them again.

As much as i don't like to say it i agree. The sooner it is down the better.

  5. That's them.

Yeah, I think they draft them in because i've heard we already have a shortage for stewards as it is.

But i agree some of them need to show a bit more common sense. If anything they should be appreciative to you that you have sat on the back row rather than asking to sit down. Nothing wrong in my eyes on the back row standing.

  6. I sit in the Lower and to be honest "some" of the Upper were out of order yesterday.

I can understand a moan and groan but yesterday it was OTT with Davies receiving special teatment from the Boo boys.

I agree it is out of order.

I can understand being frustrated, even i was frustrated at times with my head in my hands, but it should spur you on to get behind the team alot more and encourage.

  7. I'm not sure if anybody has mentioned this but it appears that we have some new 'safety' people/stewards at Boundary Park. One of them, who bore more than a passing resemblance to Hitler, was going along the back of the chaddy telling people to sit on their seats. Now I'm 6'5" and I have a 37" inside leg and I find it impossible to sit for 90 minutes, given the lack of gap to the seat in front. For that reason, my season ticket is on the back row of the chaddy and I always ask for a back row seat when buying tickets for an away game. This means that if I sit on the top of the seat, then I'm not blocking anyone's view. The only ground where I have experienced problems is Bradford City, where the steward told me I would have to sit on the seat or leave.

So, this guy was telling everybody to sit down and at first I tried to sit in my seat. I was very soon uncomfortable so returned to sitting on the top of the seat. He came back and told me to sit on the seat again. I tried to explain the problem and he walked off mumbling to himself. Just after half-time he was back and he had a big lad with him. I thought "here we go". Anyway, he had been to see the head steward (at first I thought he said Ed Stewart,, which caused some confusion) and he had said that it was ok for me to sit on the top of the seat. In fairness he did apologise and I'm hoping that's the end of it. We'll see.

Are they the people who wear the purple and illuminess jackets?

  8. from e-zine

Why does the same idiot come to every game? The one who just goes so he can slate a player every time they make a mistake! Davies after 5 mins accused of not being good enough, taylor being told he is :censored:, Davies being told go back to italy, soon shut up when the two players scored though! I sit in lookers lower and it gets right on my nerves when they just shout abuse at our players- straight from the KO, get behind the boys or just dont bother turning

There are many of them in the upper who constantly slate the team after one mistake. The faces of some at half time! you would think they would be happy we equalised, but i think they were more dissapointed they couldnt have a good boo that they had been gearing up for all half.

  9. Yeah the abuse to taylor was awful and uncalled for. Heard a fair bit in the lookers upper.

but to be honest i dont think he had his best game apart from the goal. Probably just a bad day at the office but there was many a time when he tried going on his own and then lost the ball, which is frustrating given he many options to pass the ball to keep posession in each circumstance.

Still though doesn't warrant abuse. Should warrant more encouragement and get behind the lad.

  10. I think we can still do it. However, the next few games are crucial to cement our place in the top half of the table. Lose on Tuesday and we could be back down to 14th. That is how close it is!

I agree, we definitely need to go on a bit of a run now because one loss we can slip back down again. i think there are 4 of us on 40 points? need to make these games in hand count!

  11. I didnt see clearly what happened but it was a mix up between Eardley and Crossley.... Both where to blame i think, but like i said, didnt see it clearly...

Both players seem to end on there backsides by the goal went in and crossley too me looks like he got injured from it and hurt his leg. Never seemed to kick off the floor like he usually does (aside from goal kicks).

  12. Upper bottom half with a record P46 W15 D16 L15 = 61 points, would be consistent with our form throughout the season. Hope i'm wrong......

I've gone for the playoffs. One of us has to hope!

Out of interest, where were blackpool this time last season?

  13. I'm happy.

Midfield is where we've been weakest all season, and the two lads brought in should go a long way to addressing that. Having Livermore also means we can play Taylor on the right, and move Allott infield, where he's looked much more effective. I'm not too bothered about not getting a striker in, as I think young Lewis, Dean, and Davies have enough about them to score bucket loads, and if Hughes can get fit, then we'll have good competition for places. Sorting the midfield out should give us enough to supply the forward lads, even without spending silly money or taking a gamble on a journeyman.

    Agree

(although bit annoyed after this post i am now danny boshell!! :disappointed: )
