  1. Makes me laugh, poor kid is on the stand ready to be hung when he has a bad game. Young Lewis is only 16/17. Yes he is a great young prospect, but we are playing the top of the league away from home, lets be realistic FFS. Half of BP will be booing him next time he puts a bad pass in. Lets keep it real, by all means give him 30 mins if things arn't happening?

I think its more the fact you could tell lewis was giving 100% and fans can tell he's a good prospect. I for one, and im sure the majority of the oldham fans, will be behind him 100%. I mean yeah, every club has its moaners when players arent doing good, but you counter act that by drowning the sods out with support.

Given Hughes' injury, i think Alessandra should start without a doubt.

  2. The two signings we have added has added quality to the midfield area, one area which i think personally was struggling to provide service to the front men.

Jarett was an excellent signing, as was Livermore allowing taylor to now perhaps play on the right. The only problem in this area for sheridan is choosing who plays in midfield.

Rather than splashing the cash on anyone i'm happy to be honest that we arent breaking the bank with wages etc as we have all seen where that got us.

TTA have always said there is money available, which is no doubt considered by sheridan, but i don't think they are prepared to offer extorionate wages given we only get 4500 a week, which is understandable.

Seeing trotman go was sad, but for the lad im over the moon for him and we got a great deal out of it.

Be interesting to see who he brings in when the loan market is open, which i think will then be a striker.

But on a serious note mate as said further down, no-one is worth skipping meals over etc.

KTF and heres to some points at swansea! I actually guessed the score correct on tuesday night but tomorrow, instincts say it will be 1-1, somat i'd be happy with :)

  3. Firstly, I think Jarrett played well against the knuckle draggers and I am glad we have tied him up to the end of the season. But lets be honest the only other deal in the whole month is Livermore for a month? We had money available from the FA cup and money from the sale of Trotman, all over and above finance from the seasons budget. TTA have openly said that money is available for Shez to build the squad. So why the russian sailor and brown parcels in the eleventh hour? Other clubs have improved their squad while we have lost out on 3 players on the final day, all agreed to sign but didnt. The window is shut now and there is nothing we can do but take chances on loan players, which can be a gamble. I for one am feeling a little disappointed we didnt bring in a striker (WhiCH WAS THE PRIORITY????) I suppost the question I am asking is, what went wrong?????? - Onwards and upwards for Saturday, good luck boys!:blush:B)

Yeah I am happy.Because what he has brought in is better than what we have with no disrespect to the current squad. With Strikers, they probably was his priority, but we got told where to go by two of them. I'm personally more than happy with alessandra, but for now,i think when we are allowed to make loan signings, a striker will come in.

  4. Largely dissapointed, i know a lot of Shez's efforts have been scuppered by events he cannot control, but i feel we have no real signifficant changes that will improve our position.

Livermore one month deal bought a player in which is already a competetive area.. Jarrett umm had a good game against carlisle and is more creative than the rest but what we needed was a striker and we failed to bag one... i know 2 went astray but that happens in football, we should of been more prepared.

I think regarding Strikers sheridan will use a short term loan when he is allowed now. But i think Lewis Alessandra is more than capable of filling in any how so i dont think there is many worries in that department.

  5. Everyone happen with the squad??? With adding a left sided midfield and Lewis's performance on Tuesday. I'm happy ...... cover at the back would have been great but there ya go.

Still the loan market from next week

    K]ktf

Yeah im definitely happy. Hopefully also now see Taylor play on the right wing in his natural position.

  6. A big no from me.....nice to finally end the home league hoodoo after waiting 4mths to the day. Cup games come and go. We'll get to Stamford Bridge one day....be it in the cup or by some miracles over the next few years as we storm back up the leagues

I'll have what your drinking...

  7. I've gone for Mark Allott. I thought Mark shaded it with his none stop work rate, linking up play, rarely putting a pass a stray and tackling all night. I'll hold my hand up and thought when he was brought back (with a fee!) I felt it was a bad move by Shez. Early season form along with Kalala seemed to back my judgement. However since Mark forced his way back into the side after being dropped he has been one of the few who constantly performed. Well done Mark and didn't his reaction at the end of the match last night show what it meant?.

Ive voted for allott. Rarely wasted a ball and ran all over for 90 mins.

  8. I thought he had a very solid game and a very good debut, he certainly looks better than what we already have in that role.

It is no coincidence that McDonald was able to get forward with more confidence and score two goals.

Thought Jarrett had an excellent game. Seemed a very tidy player and played some good passes.

  9. Allesandra's hold up play was a delight to watch and some of the best seen here in many a year, this lad could be a Premiership player if he puts his mind to it. (bit of the Kenny Dalgliesh style in him I thought).

He has the ability, he's got his chance now it's down to him to make sure he won't let it go.

Fantastic Player. thought he shown alot of flair and skill in his playing and is sure to go far under the correct guidance. Seemed a good team player and only shooting when necessary. Glad he had a chance and hes certainly took it with both hands.

  10. i always knew shez read this board

how good did he look???

Been wanting him to play or feature somepart this evening for a while and i'm glad he did.

I was very impressed by him. Got a lot of skill and will go far under the right guidance. Reads the game excellent and is a good team player.

  11. For me, someone can clap for 90mins on his own if he wants. Would rather that than complete silence. My arms nearly fell off in the 2nd half in the Chaddy.....must've clapped non-stop for over 20mins.....if someone else doesn't want to, then so be it, but if they want to say owt to me about doing it they'll get a stark reply!

And if it just wound people up, 1) they must get very easily wound up and 2) maybe they should've started their own chant to drown out the one they didn't want to hear. Nah....sounds to me like the old "easier to moan" brigade.

Remember, any positive comments or singin on Boundary Park premises is a hanging offense
