Wouldn't say hate but . . . Keigan Parker. I have never found a footballer as frustrating, legend in his own lunchtime.
Wouldn't say dislike, sorry.

Why do people assume one extreme or the other when it comes to TTA. They bought the place for the land, but they were "moral" enough not to want to screw the football club.
Because very few have a balanced opinion.
-
I would of agreed with most on this thread. Until you remember the vale game. Where he was just class. His all round performance was awesome, pace, power, great movement, fantastic headed finish. So without doubt he has it in him. It's just are we seeing it consistently enough at the moment?
-
It's what I've been trying to get across Harry.
The last four performances have been really good, against vale we took an early chance, against the trannies we didn't, that's football. I like the we set up, we've scored 7 goals in the last 3 games. That's not bad to say we don't have any creativity through the middle. . . An Mellor has hasn't played in any of them.
-
It's more what he doesn't do I think. Although I do believe he's not too bad at all at his job of breaking up attacks, Wes provides very little creativity from the middle of the park (which is what we lacked last season in my opinion), whereas Mellor has the ability to do that.
Fair play, but Isn't smith our creator though, with Wes mopping up? Is Mellor as good as Wes defensively? Or we after two creators?
-
The general consensus is Mellor comes in for Wes. I like Mellor, an can see why people want him in, but what has Wes done to warrant being dropped? The last three performances have been really good. An he's had a big impact on that IMO.

He always backs his managers. Talbot, Moore, Shez, Penney and Dickov all got a bit of extra cash when needed to sign players...
No matter how many times you say it. People still don't believe it.

"Game management"?
The decisions players make for themselves in a game; instead of what there tactically instructed to do. A ploy which could affect the product on the pitch.
-
I'm saying we didn't try once to open them up through the middle yesterday and we should have done
I get what your saying Harry. My point is was that the players game management, or where they asked by Johnson not to play through the middle? Smith in particular can do all the things you want. So why didn't he?
I thought we were good value yesterday. We played very well for 70 mins, wes came off, an we lost a bit of our shape, an a mistake has cost us. But I've really enjoyed the last two games. I like the way we set up.
-
Port Vale had a go at us leaving themselves open.
Tranmere didn't. A lot of other visiting teams won't. We need a centre mid who can pick a pass or make a run for these games.
Or any games. They're a good kind of player to have.
Johnson Isn't looking for his middle men to run the game in the way you suggest or maybe would like to see. He wants the ball to go out to wingers etc etc, whether you rate the wingers is another point. Smith an Wes have played in a promotion winning side. Are we saying that smith can't pick a pass or make a run? Or is it simply he or wes weren't asked tactically to do so?
-
All this talk of a lack of creativity in midfield is absurd. Remind me; who played in the middle against port vale? One of best performance's at home in long, long, time. We were right on top for 70 mins y'day with same pair in the middle.
Comparisons to last season are just plain wrong, for the basic fact that while wes tends to sit- he still crosses the halfway line, an smith is always looking to drive us a forward. Didn't see that once last year. The last three games the overall performances have been really good. I would have smith in the middle over Jose any day of the week. He's a better all round footballer. Yes, yes, I rate Baxter as well. . . Just not in midfield.
We were niaive yesterday. That will happen with a young side. We need to learn how to see games out - Especially against Ronnie f**king Moore.

What sort of fee would you expect for Tarkowski ?
In my dreams £750k. In reality, knowing us- £250k.
-
Korey Smith for me, our captain. Come on the boys!
I keep changing my mind. First JCH, now korey. . There's a few in the mix.
-
Jonson Clarke Harris got to be haha #Animal
Yep. I'm going with JCH an all. Rough diamond.

Whilst a very good player. Some of the reaction to jose going, an his actual ability has been OTT for me. Now that the messiah/ god/ best player in the last hundred years has gone. Can we move on?
Who's the potential new fans favourite?
-
Cliff Byrne. He might be slow as piss, but he's a very, very good defender...
If it's a straight choice between tarky an cliff, I take it off your posts you'd plum for cliff?
-
The love in is unbelievable. Very good player, thanks for not shafting us. NEXT.
-
He's gone. It's on the official and everything.
Doh. Didn't want to commit. Wish I had now.
-
So.... Looks highly likely Baxter is going. If he does, as many have said good luck to him. Very good player, will defo play at higher level. But certainly not irreplaceable! We get far to loved up with players IMO. They come an go, we'll soon have the next messiah. Danny wasn't brought into directly replace him but it's very apparent that he was part of the squad jigsaw. Baxter goes, in comes philliskirk, lanzoni, city loan player an maybe one or two more. Very, very, good business.
-
Corney does it every single year. Without fail. Every time corney warns against the budget - expext new signings. For a club our size we've always had a very healthy budget. I think we're seeing how far Johnson can make a solid budget go. Compare our squad with this time last year. .
-
Didn't know he played midfield as well. . fair enough. Maybe just not used to squad that is nearly all ours, a very decent size, an real quality an depth. If no- one leaves, that will be the best squad (particularly midfield an up top) we've had for a long time.
-
Get to bed.
All the best.
-
When I did the OP I didn't think or do think that Johnson thought 'Baxter might go So i'll get Danny in to directly replace him' I think was once Danny came back there was always a good chance we'd sign him. All I meant was he now has potentially six forwards. That's a lot for a club our size to carry. If we can afford them all, great stuff. But as beag said earlier I think some shuffling is on the cards, maybe with Baxter, maybe not.

Quite a few have said Littlejohn. Have I missed something? What did/didn't he do?
