  1. Yep - agreed. Eaves looked a handful when he came on and showed some good touches. Millar looked pretty composed on the ball. Both bring some badly needed passion to the team.
  2. Spot on Lags. It is incredible that Penney cannot see the negative influence that playing Parker has on the team. Can you imagine watching that excuse for a footballer play while you are sat on the bench. Having him in the team is like playing with 10 men. I think Martin Gray agrees as well. He was shouting instructions to Parker in the first half telling him to get goalside of a player when they had a corner (something that the under 7 team I coach don't have to be told). I lost it at this point and shouted something along the lines of "please remove Mr Parker from the field of play Mr Penney, if you would be so kind" - Martin Gray turned round and nodded his agreement!!
  3. Check out this article on the Posh website. Refreshing to see such an open & frank communication from the powers that be. Also interesting to read his comments about his players - seems we are not the only ones with a player attitude problem. http://www.theposh.com/page/NewsDetail/0,,...1943993,00.html
  4. Can I renew my season ticket now? How do I apply for a role as "sniper"? Parker would be in for serious pain
  5. Great post mate. I haved shared most of those experiences with you. Loved your comment about the Scunthorpe 1-1 away game. I completely lost it for about 60 seconds when we equalised, ran from right at the back of the stand to the front hugging anyone and everyone. One of those moments that make it all worthwhile. Looking forward to tonight - most optimistic than I have felt for ages. Not sure exactly why but optimistic all the same. Come on you blues.....................
  6. Ahhhh enjoyed that. Vote made. I always remember the scoreboard at half time reading "BUNN 5 SCARBOROUGH 0"
  7. 100% agree. I am finding is harder and harder to keep faith in DP when he keeps playing that lazy and passionless.......finding it hard not to swear here. Put a kid in from the reserves - at least we would get 100% DP - my advice for what it is worth...... Find a reason to get rid of Parker (and i mean OUT of the club). I have done this on occassion with teams I have managed at work and trust me, this will have 2 benefits for you: 1. it will act as a wake up call for the rest of the team and you'll get an extra few percent out of them. 2. it will establish respect for you with many of the fans. Parker out!
  8. Losing to Leeds always hurts but what really annoyed me last night was the lack of passion from players and coaching staff. It is clear we are technically inferior to Leeds so where was the "Yard Dog" or "Kettering" spirit? Was it just me or did we simply not want it enough? Where were the thumping tackles? Where was the closing down and harrassing of their midfield? Can you remember one player getting annoyed when a decision went against him or a pass went astray? Why did we only pick up 2 yellow cards? Of course I don't want us to collect yellow cards but it is indicative of our lack of passion that in one of our biggest games of the season we only conceded 2 yellows. One for a stupid petulant foul by Paul Black and the other from one of the few/only players who showed real passion - :censored:. Why did they have no yellow cards? If we had been "in their face" it is reasonable to assume they would have picked up a couple of yellows. Why was our coaching staff so friendly with the Leeds bench? I sit in the Main stand paddock and a few of us commented on how "friendly" Penney et al were with the Leeds staff throughout the game. It felt like we were saying thanks for coming Leeds, we are honoured to have you here, take 3 points, please think well of us and do come again. Maybe I am misreading some of this but honestly I see more passion and will to win in the 5-a-side league I play in! I'm no expert in man management but we have to find a way of injecting some passion into the players. Maybe this needs to start with the management team leading by example, maybe we need to make an example of some of the passionless players we have - top of my list would be Mr Parker
  9. Fair point oafc0000 we still should not sack Penny though
  10. Maybe we should get Ronnie Moore back, or Brian Talbot, or Wadsworth, or Joe Royle, or Andy Ritchie.............. Don't talk rubbish, Penny is a good manager and needs time
  11. What a great day. Massive improvement on the field, the right result, out of the relegation places and to cap it all Sara has seen the error of her ways, dumped the Yorkshiremen and come home!!
  12. Have to say that since Penny took over the standard of music at half time and pre match has been outstanding. Inspirals tonight, Stone Rones and the Killers on Tuesday. Well worth the season ticket.........
