  1. Went to see city a few years back with two mates who were arsenal fans, we were on the front row. They were cocky as hell throughout the game, but luckily City won, and there was no trouble (and they are the dullest group of fans going anyway). Hope I don’t get any probs on Saturday bringing my hudds mate in the main stand with me.
  2. I've never seen the Latics play Liverpool, Chelsea or Arsenal
  3. Ryan Gigga & Neville absolutely. But Scholes?! No way he's coming to Oldham!!
  4. Brilliant that's really useful thanks
  5. The away seats at Hudds and Oldham are both pretty good. I think for you coming to Oldham would be better as there's more riding on it. Hudds is much bigger and better stadium, they've got one more stand than us, and always got more fans, but the fans, atmosphere and team are all crap.
  6. haha no need for that sort of service for me but thanks Oh and I'm also staying with friends who live there. All they want to do when I'm there is get wasted but I'm hoping not to completely miss the whole experience of the city. The toilet bar sound very funny
  7. This question is impossible. I have around 100 favourite films. 3 examples out of a massive list that first come to mind here for each category... The BIG films: The Deer Hunter The Godfather 1, 2 (& 3 - it is still a great film) Apocolypse Now Old classics: A Portrait of Jennie East of Eden Dr Zhivago Modern greats: Twin Town Mullholland Drive Leaving Las Vegas Foreign Classics: Jean de Florette/ Manon des Sources La Haine Metropolis
  8. A dedicated bus on matchdays to/from manchester city centre
  9. One other thing... Players (especially at the top level) who feign injury to break up the flow of a team or time waste. Hate it. Easy to get away with without punishment either. Time-wasting in general - hate it.
  10. To me all religions and religious people are evil so you have that one covered. I remmber Kurt Cobain's death very well, and it was blatently Mrs "Hole" herself, that one covered. My mum is an alien, so got that one covered. City to finish third?!! hahaha NEVER
  11. Yeah the rules haven't changed, as suggested it's a recommendation on how to apply it My problem is that I think they should apply it in the sense that it was receommended, but they don't. And yes definately agree on the "active" part of the offiside rule, it's bloody stupid
  12. ive got a berlin book, but that first link interesting, thanks for that!
  13. well that's what I'm there for (for the first 3 days)! berghain, panorama bar, tresor... But I was hoping to do some random odd bits and bobs on Monday and Tuesday if possible!!
  14. Hi all, I'm off to Berlin for the weekend for the first time. Anyone got any suggestions for things that you may have done that were slightly out of the usual or interesting? Thanks
  15. Yeah good thinking, but it's more complex than that isn't it, there's also Man U, Man City, Bury, Rochdale, Oldham & Stockport's finishing positions that all contribute, and also widen the odds. I wouldnt ever take a bet on Oldham and Cheslea win as I really don't think they both will, and I dont think 13/1 is a great price on that. Maybe there's a local bookie that would look into it though, there must have been similar bets placed in the past
  16. Not sure about dark and funny but if you haven't read the godfather or the sicilian by mario puzo before then I certainly recommend both.
  17. What most annoys me are two things: 1. Defenders bringing down or holding attackers in the box and always getting away with it 2. Linesmen and Refs NEVER giving advantage to the attacking team on offline decisions, and not actaully using the "clear ground" official rule to ffside. Without these two breaches of the official rules which go on in every game there would be more goals, and that would make footy more exciting.
  18. Thanks, I never said or implied or meant to imply that Oldham was in Manchester. The very reason I started this thread was because in the "Manchester Evening News" paper, the sports section highlights the teams in the "Manchester area", of which we were currently top in all leagues. I don't think definitely that this will be the same at the end of the season necessarily, that's why I suggested I'd take odds of 50/1. As in I think there's about a 1 in 50 chance of this happening (or slightly better), but it's a chance I'd be willing to back, it's a bit of fun in favour of our team!! And...it currently is as per that prediction ....and I hope it stays that way
