  1. I've said all I can on most of the key matters at this time, however I just thought it pertinent to reply on a couple of things mentioned in this thread.

The statement wasn't prompted at all. I've always said to the Trust directors that I would do my very best to provide a public update once a quarter - if you look back my last one was November. This update was already mostly written before my radio appearance last week, but was rehashed to directly answer some of the main questions which I felt were important to address.

Yes of course we should all remain vigilant, and as I've said this is my club so even forgetting my Trust role I certainly do and will continue to do so.

Football, business and life is not black and white and some on here and on other spaces are drawing definitive conclusions on the future based on what, in reality, is a snapshot of a particular set of circumstances as they are now. Are things perfect - no, but in the real world when are they? Am I panicking about things with all I know - no.

With that in mind I would just say that the more successful the North Stand is on both matchdays and non-matchdays the better for all of us.

I'm not asking you to forget about asking questions or keep quiet, all I would say is that our most helpful role right now as fans is to back our team and our manager through the upcoming games and continue to play our part in getting the wins we need to stay in this division this season, even cranking it up a few positive notches.

Speaking with Shez he's feeling very confident and that'll do for me.

  2. To answer the original question. No such actions happened so let's not let rumours/allegations get in the way of the facts. I've spoken with Barry about it. He was clapping the team off at the end of the game and then indicated to the fans shouting at him that he'd pop straight down to speak to them. That is all.

To his credit he went and spoke to the group of fans in question.

  3. Good to see some fresh meat involved, hope we can start to see some positive and tangible work from those involved - a move to Saturday meetings is something I would like to see.

What is the thinking behind Simon rather than Diane being Trust representative to the OAFC board?

We'll have a presence in all 3 stands on matchdays plus will be running some events after games. So hopefully that helps a little.

Having taken onboard a lot of feedback (Including from folks on owtb) we took the decision that splitting the chair and board rep role potentially gives more strength (on balance). The chair role has changed focus slightly with the emphasis being on governance and ensuring actions are followed through/trust directors made more accountable.

This also leaves the board representative the space to concentrate on their role.

Each require specific skill sets so makes sense to get the "best" available people to do the roles (we created job descriptions).

Debate either way but on balance we felt it the best route particularly whilst a larger board/activities are bedded in.

  4. The Trust can appoint directors at any point in the year by co-opting, as has been done 6 times in the past 12 months. The deadline is for directors wishing to stand for election (which can only be done at an agm).

Co-option may suit some as it means slightly more administrative flexibility (in terms of companies house records) but with no less influence as an elected director.

  5. Picked up a winter wonderland flyer at the open event.....yes it is for Xmas bookings you could say geared up for works do's. I've left the flyer at work as we are hoping to go, but prices ranged from £27 quid on a Thursday or Sunday to just short for £40 for a Friday or sat.

There was no info on the menu as presume this will be worked on nearer the time, but ours works lot are hoping to go as it is more central for most of

The Sample menu for the event was in the business packs - looks good

  6. Wrong - liquidation means nothing unless the insolvency practitioner has identified wrongdoing - there is nothing of the sort associated with this company.

liquidations or dissolving companies can happen for any number of reasons majority are natural/innocent/all above board.

I think you may be mixing up the FL rules which I think make mention to football clubs going into liquidation and puts a number on it.

It's great news we've got Anna joining the board. Well done Mr Corney.

Think this might mean if we become liquidated/bust when she is on the board she isn't allowed to be a board member for a company again. Could be a good warning sign in the future.

However, I'm sure those more knowledgeable will correct me if I'm wrong.

  7. You should see this change from tonight

Could you ask the club to use the #oafc hashtag when tweeting from the @officialOAFC account.

Anyone who follows more than a handful of people will rarely see anything that's tweeted.

Them "live tweeting" during matches is especially pointless as anybody who's following on Twitter will do so via the hashtag to get multiple sources of info, official and unofficial.

Somebody tried explaining to him/her during Crawley away but didn't seem to get any response as far as I saw.

If I'm missing some fundamental reason why they don't do it this way I'm all ears too.

  8. I'm sure we all have commitments Chris but you've more chance of people being free on a matchday, that's a no brainer.

To quote my man Albie Enstein, to keep doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results is insanity.

All Chris is saying is that a meeting on matchdays is not being ruled out - however what we would all prefer is a venue at the club to make it easier for the maximum amount of people to attend. We regularly discuss options but until the new stand is closer we aren't able to know exactly what is available to us.

A pub has also been discussed but that provides it's own challenges too. Fan matchday meetings haven't been ruled out.

  9. Thanks for this. Our advisor is waiting on some information from the FCA which should enable him to clarify the correct legal route to transfer the shares. He will correspond directly with a Trust nominated figure if this has been carried through should this be agreeable? Should this be so we can put that element to bed.

Of course. Happy to put them in direct contact with the trust advisors should that help.

    Thanks LL
