  1. Real, as I have said on more than one occasion already I would be more than happy to talk you through the working basis of the DPA, principles, definitions of sensitive/non sensitive data etc etc - it's not something that is appropriate for this forum.

I have already intimated in my previous answer that I personally (and you it seems) would rather deal in facts on membership numbers.

This Fact is not "confirmed" until we receive the relevant information as already outlined.

The figure quoted at the AGM doesn't seem to satisfy you (or me) yet neither, it seems, will any figure I give you without this info first being processed - those of us committed to getting the Trust back on track are as frustrated as it seems you are by this delay to our plans as, in the nicest way, the membership number question should be a simple number - no more no less.

We are, however, doing all we can at our end on this and a huge amount more in the time we've volunteered alongside our family commitments, running businesses and yes trying to spend sometime watching and enjoying the current football on show from the team.

  2. As LL so eloquently (kind of) put it, I (and by the sounds of it you and everyone else) would rather deal in facts.

I'm not sure it's evasion in my case (can't speak for those other two) as evasion would imply that I'm deliberately avoiding telling you something I know - and as I've said I'd rather deal in facts and when we can administer the data I'll be happy to give you this figure - it should, by the way,be a figure readily available to all.

I could say 700 but you leap on that, I could say 1648 but you'd leap on that - I think it's better for everyone if we use the actuals.

To put it into context, I and a couple of others joined the Trust board at the April meeting as, like you, we had many questions. We appreciated that the handful of good folk at the Trust needed help and even though time isn't a commodity we have, we were prepared to jump in.

Our number 1 aim as a new collective was to get things like this cleaned up and give everyone a clear starting point. It is a really good thing for all us fans that membership of the Trust has been made a benefit for season ticket holders, it will mean that come the elections in April there can be a well administered process which is transparent and if LL wishes to bring 20 homeless people in with the promise of cider we can let them enjoy the party - but not count their votes (unless they have become members by then of course).

I'm pretty sure that's the outcome everyone watching wants.

To answer some of your other statements, the only reason the data hasn't arrived is workloads of the club staff - nothing more.

We were expecting this in August, but to be fair to them it's a busy time (we've chased it though). In the meantime we've concentrated efforts on playershare whilst we wait.

As some of us work with data protection laws every day we are fully aware of the laws and what can/can't be done.

As you well know real there is no requirement for you to be at a meeting to ask questions - you know this as when you've asked questions one of us has asked this at the meeting on your behalf - personally I've done this at 2 meetings for you and supplied you with an answer.

My invite to attend the meeting was merely that, an invite - it'd be good to see more fans there so we can have a chat, nothing more - I like talking about our club and finding out how best I can change things to make sure we have a strong Trust that can have some big aims.

If it leaves time to join LL and his 20 cider drinking mates afterwards then even better, sounds like he's buying anyway.

As always I'll be in the Chaddy End on Saturday if you or anyone wants a chat about anything Trust related and happy to give you all the info I am able.

  3. There's no problem at all real, simply a case of the club not yet delivering the required info - not a lot we can do about that.

The membership of the Trust isn't dependant on physically having this data communication/administration is.

If you wish to find out for yourself you are always welcome at another meeting.

As for your final question - We'll be able to confirm that once we have the data and have had chance to update with opt-outs etc

  4. The club assured us letters (which were printed and delivered by Trust partners) would be handed out with all tickets - I know from 12 people I know (plus my own) were all given letters. More than enough letters were provided to the club, so giving them the benefit of the doubt I'd put missed ones down to an oversight on their part.

I'll see about getting the letter posted onto the Trust site so you can see you own version.

No, we have yet to receive data from the club so cannot give you any details on that.

  5. Good move, it's not a money related move - it's with the new stand/commercial exp in mind.

The new stand is going to require a good, savy head to make it work commercially and this chap brings good experience. He's not an investor, just the type of commercial director the club's been lacking for a while.

  6. Thank you to the fans that attended last nights meeting.

The next Trust meeting will be on 21st July, I'll create a new topic for matters related to that meeting including any questions for the meeting.

  7.

Have these been produced yet ? Can't find them on the site....

0000 - minutes will be on the website later tonight. Unfortunately the new secretary has had a family bereavement to contend with so understandably the minutes have been delayed slightly on this occasion.

  8. Maddog the longer version of Chris' post in the Trust section explains how the Trust is working on the areas you rightly point out as the priorities - all Chris is doing here, to his immense credit, is cracking on with getting some of the smaller/fun website elements lined up - these have in no way superceded any of the communication priorities, but they will play a valuable part of the bigger plans as the season progresses.

  9. Minutes from last night meeting will be published on the Trust Oldham website as soon as they've been produced.

The next meeting will be held on Monday 30th June (incidentally this is followed by one on Monday 21st July)...we'll create a new dated topic for the next meeting for ease of conversations

  10. It'll be good to see you there, daughters birthday permitting of course - if it helps your timings the first half may only be around 30mins(from 7pm)...but that's dependent on the number of members/fans in attendance and subsequent discussions.

  11. No worries I'd rather we get the message out in as many ways as we can, just need it on the official web page too. Don't know who the new web master is but do you think he can get the message on there too?

    Thanks

    Already done :-)
