  1. I agree. I sit up there too and it was very light hearted. Same as the shouts of "Ched Evans would have scored that" with every near miss. If the crowd loses its sense of humour we've had it.

It would have to be funny to be humorous. The one bit that was funny was one of them loudly complaining about "those computer people" who stopped us signing Evans.

Presumably by that he meant anyone capable of operating a computer?

  2. In light of what's gone on should the Trust not be calling a meeting to:-

    a) hear the Trust's representative on the board's report on what actually went on (within reason - I appreciate some details will remain private & rightly so)

b ) give him a vote of confidence or no confidence

    ???

    Exactly this

  3.

Turn up, raise your hand to speak, then say "I would like to put forward a motion for a vote of no confidence in the Chairman's position". Someone will need to second that motion. A vote should then be taken....

    Or something to that affect....

That should be about it if the trust isn't a dictatorship or an old boys club....

Maybe someone from the trust could let you know.... You could ask Barry but he doesn't come here any more :)

Well I'd be up for doing that. Anyone else?

  4. Having a brief skim through the supporters direct website it seems you are right. You can however change the constitution of the trust with a 75% majority of a meeting (if our trust's constitution is the same as the model one). Presumably an easier thing to do would be to bring a confidence vote up at the next trust meeting? The website doesn't seem to say when the next meeting is. How would you go about putting a vote of confidence on the agenda?

  5. But they won't listen they don't care with what we think.

The fat tub of lard that is the supporters representative is pursuing his own agenda he's to important to care what the likes of us think.

Well I'll ask again as nobody seems to know, how do we as members remove him from the chair of the trust? If Corney still wants to keep him on th board then so be it but at least he can't claim to represent me!
  6. It's been an horrific week in Latics's history. Anything other than just supporting the team will just make it worse.

I see what you are saying but I think it only right that the club and anyone else for that matter see the majority of fans' displeasure at the events of this week and particularly how our so called representative has behaved.
  7. I think the majority are agreed that Barry has let down the fans badly in this episode even if he wasn't the "driving force" behind it although I happen to think he would have been given his previous actions. The question is what are we going to do about it? I think we should attempt to force him to stand down as chair of the trust. Some kind of protest on Saturday? Can we force an extraordinary trust meeting? If a significant proportion of fans sing "we want Barry out" during the next match there has to be some kind of reaction? Am I right in thinking that all season ticket holders are members of the trust? In which case we should be able to hold a vote of no confidence. If SC chooses to keep him on the board in a different capacity then that is up to him.

  8. Having been impressed with the official coach's ability to get us to the match in time for a quick pint (I hadn't got on the coach for years before recently), I have booked myself and my dad on it.

I've read above that the nearest pub for away fans is ten minutes away from the ground, my dad isn't so good with walking too far - is that a brisk ten minutes or is there anywhere nearer? Or will we have to make do with the bar in the ground?

    Thanks
