the pitch made for a poor game, but that's no excuse. Anyone know why they didn't close the roof for the NFL game to stop the rain messing up the pitch?

absolutely gutted but we didn't deserve it on tonight's performance. However, there is always a silver lining, no more maclaren hopefully!
We deserved to lose. You can't concede 3 goals at home and expect anything from the match.

Never had strong feelings on this before not sitting in the chaddy and not going to that many away games where he's been but he was playing it far too fast. It's not a terrible idea in principle to have a drum but someone needs to tell him to slow the hell down.

Trains aren't running from greenfield cos of engineering works. I believe it's going on for a week or so. There is however a rail replacement bus to marsden (the next stop) and a train from there. It won't take too much longer. That's what i'll be doing.

Nothing to settle, Eyres was great but he was no Tricky Ricky, not by a long chalk; that fella was class.
Quite right. Ricky Holden was a genius. The finest crosser of the ball in the land in his day,

Only know of one thrown out ...... Dave decided to tell the ref what he thought of him at HT and obviously the steward thought it was towards him!!! Didn't find out until around 9pm when I bumped (and I did actually bump into him) near Gloucester station.... although I remember him telling something about it after game, I think.
Add another 6 to the 391 total tics .... we had free tickets
Was that dave R? Unlucky him.

Deffo has to be fanfare for the common man for the teams running out. They should bring it back. Brings back many memories of matches as a child.

Was mascot against AFC Bournmouth in the league in the Littlewoods cup season. Won 4 nil. Have a camcorder video of me kicking the ball around with rick holden before the match. Fantastic day. The atmosphere of the players and big joe in the changing room was brilliant too (not suprisingly having already got to wembley). Still have all the autographs somewhere.

I've managed to swap my shift on Sunday and procured one of the last tickets for the lookers upper this morning so I'm all set. Will there be an oasis meet before the match? The greyhound as usual? What time are you planning on being around from mark?

A goal that sticks in my mind was Ian Marshall's bullet towards the chaddy end. I think it was in the premiership days. Anyone remember who it was against?
How about a supplementary of best own goals? Was it Kevin Francis against Birmingham scored 2? I'd also love to see that Kilcline classic own goal even though it was against us.
england out.....
